(1st POV)
I opened my eyes for the first time without someone there to wake me up, I sat up and looked in my room which had changed over the years. I stared at the bookshelf and sighed as some tears fell from my eyes.
I remember when my master gave me this bookshelf for my 10th birthday, he made it himself with his own hands. Taking the covers off, I made my way to the bookshelf and brushed it with my hands.
There was barely any dust since I dusted it almost every day. Making my way to the fridge, I took out a bottle of water and downed it quickly. Feeling myself become more energized, I put on my Taoist Robe that draped over my normal clothes and went outside.
Grabbing my Taoist Bag, I made my way to the graves and began to place incense on every one of them until I saw the last grave that was the furthest from the other graves. I walked to it and placed some incense as I smiled.
"Good morning Master, I am doing well, and yes, I have found friends like you asked, haha. To think, I would be this popular in the town, just because I was your disciple, I envy you, Master. I miss you, a lot, I missed your tea time, and I miss the times you smacked my butt with a wooden stick, I think I still have scars from it."
I spent two hours talking to my master as the sun hung high in the sky. I glanced at the sky and yawned, "I will talk to you next month master, and I will have some crazy stories to tell you."
I got up from the seated position I was in, feeling my numb legs, I began to make my way to the town.
Looking around, I smiled as I walked happily, many townspeople greeted me when they saw me. Of course, me being me, I waved back happily, I almost knew everyone in the town, due to me being Master's disciple.
He always brought me to help the people, there were two reasons. To familiarize myself with the townspeople and to gain experience dealing with supernatural things. I helped a lot of people with my Master.
Some even offered their daughters to me to marry in the future, I just politely declined saying I was too focused on being a Taoist Priest to marry someone.
I was halfway to the town when I heard some screams, and the screams were coming from the town. Looking at the town's entrance, I saw smoke rising from the buildings, feeling uneasy, I ran the rest of the way there.
The moment I got there, it was worse, there were people everywhere, and everything was chaos. I made my way to an old man who was helping the kids, "Mr. Tong, what is happening?"
Mr. Tong, an elder man who was once a skilled hunter, spoke hurriedly, "A dragon has appeared!"
Feeling a slight shock in my body, I replied despite the shock, "Okay, Evacuate the kids and take this." I handed the old man a jade amulet, "This amulet can block any attack four times, when you use it, just make sure the kids are behind you."
Mr. Tong nodded and clutched the jade amulet as I watched him gather all of the town's kids and evacuate them toward the cave in the middle of the forest. Feeling the pressure lessen, I took out my wooden peach sword and laid it on the ground.
Holding two fingers, I began to chant and wiped the wooden peach sword from top to bottom after I finished my chant. The sword began to glow until it became steel. I spread out my senses and found the dragon.
I was a bit nervous, because I never fought a dragon before, only some ghosts and creatures. Breathing in and out, I ran towards the dragon who was currently in the middle of the town breathing fire at everything and anyone.
I made it to the dragon's tail before it noticed me, feeling my hair stand up, I dodged to the side and narrowly avoided a fireblast that made a crater. Gulping at the crater, I steeled my nerves and lunged towards the giant dragon who swung his tail at me.
Sweeping, I jumped over the tail using the sword as a spring, I then took a vertical swing at his tail that was under me.
*Clang*
I felt the shock in my hands as the force transferred to it, before I fell, I threw one thunder talisman out of my bag. The talisman landed on the dragon's chest shocking it a little as it stuck on its skin.
Crossing my middle finger overlapping my pointer finger, two dark clouds gathered above the dragon.
I smirked as I landed on the ground, the dragon at this moment was confused as he sensed something weird in the sky, looking up, two lightning bolts came crashing down on the dragon.
The lightning bolts struck where the talisman stuck and made the dragon cry out in pain. I then used the third eye to see how much damage I did and I was annoyed. It only made the dragon suffer minimal pain, it is like a taser hurting a bear.
"F*ck!" I yelled as that move drained half of my spiritual energy. The dragon at this moment was staring at me with bloodlust. Letting out a roar, the entire town shook as the dragon flew into the sky and began to charge up an ultimate fireball.
Using my third eye, I sensed the energy in the fireball and it was enough to burn the town to the ground. Feeling my body tense, I was scared as f*ck.
I looked into the dragon's eyes and saw that it only had death in its eyes as if we were already deemed dead in the dragon's eyes. I clenched my teeth and took out a pill, "Master said, this pill is only for last resort. I guess, this is it then..."
Taking out the pill from my bag, I contemplated and ultimately ate it. At first, I felt nothing but then in a second, I felt excruciating pain. The pain was like a chicken pecking at your skin, trying to escape desperately.
My hair turned white as my body began to age, in 10 seconds, I became 50 years old. "This power, is phenomenal, is this my power at fifty?"
I can feel as if I can use the thunder talisman ten times and I won't even become mildly tired. Looking at the dragon, I can sense that he was almost done charging his ultimate attack. I stuck my sword on the ground as it became normal again.
Biting my thumb, I wiped it on the ground and clapped my hands. Concentrating hard, I managed to grasp it, the wisp of death. Suddenly, the entire world felt some unease as I summoned a grim reaper.
A black mist circled the sword until it transformed into a man with a grim reaper robe. He had no hair and a gaunt look.
The grim reaper opened its eyes and stared at me, the eyes it had were chilling, they were pitch black and if you look long enough, you can see death.
Bowing respectfully, I said, "I need something urgent."
The grim reaper looked around and nodded, "I see, but, you know what you have to give up."
"I...fine, I will give you my soul, deal?"
I saw the grim reaper smirk which made me annoyed, "Then, what do you want?"
Looking into the sky, I spoke, "Kill that dragon and my soul is yours."
Sighing, the grim reaper teleported in front of the dragon, and with one smooth motion, the dragon was cut in half. I was shocked and bewildered until the grim reaper teleported back and smirked again.
Feeling my lifespan, I was about to turn into ash, I could feel it. "To think, a human would make such a pill, haha," said the Grim Reaper as he took out his scythe It was massive compared to the size of the Grim Reaper.
I just laid on the ground as my body was failing me, the grim reaper came over and sat down next to me, "You are just gonna wait for me?"
The grim reaper shrugged, "I guess, it has been so long since I have been summoned here, I am reluctant to leave but I guess duty calls."
I closed my eyes for the last time in this world but then, I felt someone in front of me. I opened my eyes and was in front of a bonfire. Next to the bonfire, was...
