For the next three days, Xian Zhen lived as if nothing had changed. He went to school, attended underground fights, and ignored most people like he usually did. But deep inside, he knew his world was about to change forever.
Every night, when he was alone, he could feel the power inside him—dark and light, two forces struggling to be controlled. He tried to suppress them, but it was useless. The more he resisted, the stronger they became.
"This damn power… it's like a beast waiting to break free," Xian muttered.
He stood in front of his mirror, watching his own reflection. His right hand flickered with dark energy, swirling like a black flame. His left hand glowed with pure white light, radiating a divine aura.
"Heh… interesting," he smirked. "If I really have this kind of power, I might as well use it."
A Warning from the Shadows
On the night before the portal was supposed to appear, Xian took a walk through the city. Silverbrook was as lively as ever—bright lights, loud music, and people laughing in the streets. But something felt different.
He could feel… someone watching him.
Xian casually turned into a dark alley, acting as if he hadn't noticed anything. Then—SWOOSH!—a shadow moved behind him.
Before the figure could attack, Xian spun around and grabbed the person's wrist.
"Trying to sneak up on me? You must be tired of living," Xian said coldly.
The figure wore a black cloak, their face hidden under a hood. But their voice was sharp and clear.
"You are not ready."
Xian's eyes narrowed. "And who the hell are you?"
The cloaked figure pulled back their hood, revealing a woman with sharp golden eyes and silver hair. She was beautiful, but her expression was serious.
"My name is Yue Lan," she said. "And I came to warn you."
"Warn me about what?"
"The world beyond the portal… is not as simple as you think. Many forces are waiting for your arrival—some to use you, others to destroy you."
Xian smirked. "Let them try."
Yue Lan sighed. "Your arrogance will get you killed."
Xian's eyes flashed with amusement. "Or… it will make me stronger."
The woman stared at him for a long moment, then nodded. "Very well. I have delivered my warning. Whether you survive or not… is up to you."
And just like that, she vanished into the night.
Xian crossed his arms, a confident grin on his face. "This is getting more and more interesting."
The Portal Appears
At exactly midnight, the ground trembled. A massive golden portal appeared in the sky above Silverbrook, swirling with mysterious energy.
Xian stood on top of a building, looking up at it. The time had come.
Without hesitation, he stepped forward and jumped into the portal.
The moment he entered, everything changed. His body felt weightless, as if he was floating in space. Stars, galaxies, and mysterious symbols flashed around him.
Then, with a BOOM, he crashed into the ground.
Xian opened his eyes and found himself in a completely different world—one filled with towering mountains, ancient temples, and powerful auras everywhere.
He had arrived.
The journey of the Absolute Overlord had truly begun.
