Chapter 1 - 1. Eryndor's Calamity

Eryndor was a bad luck magnet, and his life was a never-ending series of unfortunate events. It was as if the universe had declared war on him, and he was the sole target of its wrath. Every day, something new and exciting would happen to him, something that would make him wonder if he was indeed the most unlucky person in the world.

One day, while he was walking down the street, he accidentally stepped in a pile of dog shit. The smell was so potent that it made his eyes water, and the sticky mess seemed to cling to his boots like a bad omen. He tried to scrape it off, but it only seemed to spread, leaving a trail of brown goo behind him.

As he walked, he noticed people staring at him, their faces filled with a mixture of disgust and amusement. Some of them pointed and laughed, while others shook their heads in pity. Eryndor felt like a freak, a sideshow attraction in a world that seemed to be against him.

The girl he had a crush on, Sophia, avoided him like the plague because of his bad luck. "I'm sorry, Eryndor," she said, "but every time we're together, something terrible happens. I don't want to be around you anymore."

Eryndor tried to persuade her to give him another chance, but she was firm. "I'm not going to risk my safety and well-being just to be with you," she said. "You're a bad luck magnet, Eryndor. It's not worth it."

Eryndor was heartbroken, but he couldn't blame Sophia for feeling that way. He was a walking disaster, a plague upon the land. He had a knack for turning even the most mundane situations into catastrophic events.

Everyone who knew of Eryndor's luck avoided him like the plague. His enemy, Lord Ravenswood, cried tears of blood just because he became his enemy. "Why must I be cursed with an enemy like you, Eryndor?" Lord Ravenswood exclaimed. "You're a walking disaster, a plague upon the land. I'll never be able to escape your bad luck."

Eryndor's family was also helpless and moved away, leaving him to fend for himself. One day, while they were packing their belongings, Eryndor's bad luck struck again. He accidentally knocked over a lamp, which set the curtains on fire. The family had to evacuate the house quickly, and they left Eryndor behind to deal with the mess.

As they were leaving, Eryndor's mother turned to him and said, "We're sorry, Eryndor. We love you, but we can't take it anymore. You're a bad luck magnet, and we don't want to be around you when something really bad happens."

Eryndor was devastated, but he understood. He was a burden to those around him, a constant source of stress and anxiety. He was better off on his own, where he couldn't hurt anyone else.

Despite all the bad luck that surrounded him, Eryndor was determined to live with it and one day persevere. He was a resilient and determined individual, and he refused to let his bad luck get the best of him.

One day, a mysterious character named Arkiea from a higher world came to Eryndor's lower world for sightseeing. Arkiea was a powerful being with the ability to manipulate the fabric of reality. He was curious about the lower world and its inhabitants.

Arkiea coincidentally found Eryndor and was intrigued by his similar features to those of the cursed races. He began spying on Eryndor silently, watching him from afar to see if he was indeed one of the cursed.

As Arkiea observed Eryndor, he noticed that the mortal's bad luck was not just limited to himself. It seemed to affect everyone around him, causing chaos and destruction wherever he went. Arkiea was fascinated by this phenomenon and decided to continue observing Eryndor to learn more.

However, while spying on Eryndor, small bad luck disasters started happening to Arkiea. One day, a woman accused him of peeping while she was changing her clothes. "You're a pervert!" she exclaimed, as she chased Arkiea down the street.

Arkiea tried to explain that he wasn't peeping, but the woman wouldn't listen. "I don't care what you're doing," she said. "You're still a creep, and you need to leave me alone."

Another day, a kid urinated on Arkiea from above, soaking him in a puddle of warm liquid. "Ha ha ha!" the kid exclaimed, as he ran away laughing. "You got peed on, mister!"

Arkiea was furious, but he tried to maintain his composure. He was a powerful being, after all, and he couldn't let a little bad luck get to him. But as the days went by, the bad luck disasters continued to pile up.

A pot fell on his head, spilling hot soup all over his clothes. A group of wild animals chased him through the streets, nipping at his heels. And to top it all off, he got stuck in a revolving door for hours, unable to escape.

Arkiea was at his wit's end. He had never experienced such a string of bad luck in his life. He began to wonder if Eryndor was indeed one of the cursed, and if his bad luck was somehow contagious.

Despite his growing frustration, Arkiea continued to observe Eryndor. He was determined to learn more about the mortal's bad luck and how it affected those around him.

But as the days turned into weeks, Arkiea started to notice a change. The small bad luck disasters that had been plaguing him were starting to escalate into major catastrophes. He would fall into a pit full of venomous snakes, or get caught in a moving typhoon and thrown far away from the town.

Arkiea was starting to realize that Eryndor's bad luck was not just a minor annoyance, but a full-blown curse. He was a walking disaster, a plague upon the land. And Arkiea was starting to think that he had made a big mistake by getting involved with him.

One day, as Arkiea was observing Eryndor from a safe distance, he got caught in a massive earthquake. The ground shook beneath his feet, and he stumbled and fell. As he struggled to get up, he saw Eryndor walking towards him, a look of concern on his face.

"Are you okay?" Eryndor asked, as he approached Arkiea.

Arkiea glared at him, his eyes blazing with anger. "You," he growled. "You're the reason for all this bad luck. You're a curse, a plague upon the land."

Eryndor looked taken aback, but he tried to explain. "I don't know what's going on," he said. "I've always had bad luck, but I never thought it would affect anyone else."

Arkiea didn't care. He was beyond reason, beyond sanity. He just wanted to get rid of Eryndor, to eliminate the source of all his troubles.

And so, with a fierce cry, Arkiea launched himself at Eryndor. But just as he was about to attack, a massive lightning bolt struck him, turning him into a charcoal-like substance.

As Arkiea lay on the ground, dazed and confused, he saw Eryndor standing over him. "I'm sorry," Eryndor said, as he looked down at Arkiea. "I didn't mean to cause you any trouble."

Arkiea glared up at him, his eyes filled with hatred. "You're a monster," he growled. "A walking disaster. And I'm going to make sure you pay for all the trouble you've caused me." those... were his last words.

And with that, the charcoal remains of Arkiea's body were swept away by a powerful gust of wind, leaving Eryndor to wonder what had just happened. Had he really just been attacked by a powerful being from a higher world? And what did it all mean?

Eryndor shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. He didn't know what the future held, but he was determined to face it head-on. After all, he was a bad luck magnet, and he was used to dealing with the unexpected.

But as he walked away, he couldn't shake the feeling that his bad luck was far from over. In fact, it was only just beginning.
