Synopsis

chapter 1 : The city of Brașov

‎ The sun was setting over the city of Brașov, casting a warm orange glow over the medieval streets. Victoria Darius, a light skin young woman with long dark hair and piercing green eyes, walked through the crowded streets, taking in the sights and sounds of the city she loved.

‎ As she walked, Victoria passed by the iconic Black Church, its Gothic spire reaching toward the sky like a dark, stone finger. She had grown up in Brașov, and the church was a familiar landmark, a reminder of the city's rich history and culture.

‎ Victoria turned onto Strada Republicii, the main street of the city, and made her way through the crowds of tourists and locals. The sound of laughter and conversation filled the streets, and Victoria felt a sense of belonging as she passed by the cafes and shops, the smell of coffee and pastry wafting through the air making her yearn for some.

‎ She had always loved Brașov, with its narrow streets and colorful buildings. The city had a way of making her feel alive, and she felt grateful to call it her home.

‎ As she walked, Victoria felt a sense of restlessness, a feeling that there was something more out there for her. She had always been drawn to the supernatural and the unknown, and she felt a deep connection to the mysterious, mist-shrouded mountains that loomed over the city.

‎ Victoria shook her head, pushing aside her thoughts. She had a job to get to, and she couldn't be late or else she'll lose yet another Job due to her perpetual late coming. She worked as a waitress at a small cafe on the outskirts of the city, and she needed the money to support herself. She worked as a waitress at a small cafe on the outskirts of the city, and she needed the money to support herself.

‎ The cafe, called "Caféul nostru" (Our Cafe), was a cozy little place that served the best coffee and pastry in town. Victoria had worked there for a few years, and she loved the friendly atmosphere and the regular customers.

‎ As she approached the cafe, Victoria saw a figure standing outside, watching her. He was tall and lean, with piercing blue eyes and pink lips that seemed to see right through her. Victoria felt a shiver run down her spine as their eyes met, and for a moment, she forgot to breathe.

‎ Then, the figure turned and disappeared into the crowd, leaving Victoria feeling shaken and confused. She took a deep breath and pushed open the door to the cafe, wondering who the mysterious stranger was, and why he had been watching her.

‎ As she entered the cafe, Victoria was greeted by the warm smile of her boss, Carmen. "Bună, Victoria!" Carmen said, using the Romanian word for "good." "How are you today?"

‎ Victoria smiled back, trying to shake off the feeling of unease. "I'm good, Carmen. Just a little distracted."

‎ Carmen raised an eyebrow. "Distracted? What's wrong?"

‎ Victoria hesitated, unsure of how to explain. "I just saw someone outside, she said finally. A stranger. He was watching me."

‎ Carmen's expression turned serious. A stranger? What did he look like?"

‎ Victoria described the man, and Carmen listened intently. When Victoria finished, Carmen nodded thoughtfully. "I don't know who he is," she said, "but I'll ask around. Maybe someone has seen him before."

‎ Victoria nodded, feeling a sense of relief. She was glad that Carmen was taking her concerns seriously.

‎ As she began her shift, Victoria couldn't shake off the feeling that the stranger was still watching her. She glanced around the cafe, but there was no sign of him.

‎ Maybe she had just imagined the whole thing, Victoria thought. But deep down, she knew that she hadn't.
