Chapter 1 - First Day of School

"Kamelio!" My father called out to me as I was putting my shoes on. "You're going to have to move faster if you're gonna make it in this field, an assassin must be as quick as he is precise."

"I got you, i'm on my way dad!" I yelled finally getting my foot into my 2nd shoe and hauling ass down the stairs.

"Hey, remember what we discussed over breakfast Kamelio, your first priority is to be cautious at all times. If you do end up in a confrontation DO NOT HESITATE to go for the kill okay?" My mother called after me as I bolted out the door.

"I'll try to remember that mom." I said calmly before getting in the car. She was standing in the doorway of our house, despite the sun having already made its entrance our porch light was still on. Making my mother look almost majestic as I looked from the window of dads car.

I could tell by the look in her eyes she meant every word she said.

"You ready?" Pops asked me with a smile on his face.

"I was born ready." I said with confidence, but inside, I may or may not have been just a little nervous.

————————

When my dad dropped me off I was astonished at how big the school was, It had at least 4 floors. It was a brick building but the bricks were blue and the mortar had been painted purple.

I didn't waste any time on anything, I went straight to my classroom and sat down at one of the desks. It was blue with a yellow crown design in the middle. Before I knew it a muscular guy came in bringing four people with him.

"Hey punk! You're in the boss's seat." One of the four said, pointing at me with an outstretched hand. He was wearing a red shirt with a black number five on it. They all were.

"Yea, only future kings who'll have assassins sit in this row. Didn't they teach you that before you came here?" Another member said, this one had some kind of weird talk though. Probably speech impairment, I don't judge.

"I don't care about any of you so go away." I coldly stared at the teacher's desk waiting for him or her to arrive.

I was then lifted up and thrown into the wall.

"Hey what's the big idea, you oversized grasshopper. You go ahead and try to jump but I will step on you like I do all pests!" I angrily stared at him. Ready to fight him.

"Yo. You four handle my light work. Beat him close to death but not all the way." The leader said.

"Yes sir." They stated simultaneously before eyeing me like a predator eyeing prey.

The four assassins encircled me and started punching at me simultaneously. I wasn't scared but I didn't want to kill them like I did…

Stopping in the middle of that thought I jumped up and kicked two of them before punching one's fist as he jabbed at me, stopping it before his arm fully outstretched. If they messed with me they asked for it right?

I remembered the training my dad gave me and pulled out my knife.

"Whatcha gonna do with that? Give me a fresh haircut?" A different one sneered at me.

Ignoring his obnoxious remark I took my knife and thrust it towards his neck. He dodged of course but before I could try again a different person than that one grabbed me and held his own knife to my throat. That's when I remembered there were four of them, five counting the loser in my seat. Then the cold of that same silver knife touched my face and I felt blood trickle down my chin. He had cut me.

Then a fist came at me and everything went black.

————-

When I woke up I wasn't in a hospital as I half expected, I was laying in a bed, with some strong looking guy sitting in a chair across the room who had shades on that hid his eyes. The house was big with a tan color on the walls that were clearly made from wood. The bed I was in had a cool purple and orange cover. Along with a purple and orange pillow. The tan walls of that house didn't have any fingerprints or anything. The house was very clean too.

"Hello Kamelio! Good of you to finally join me. I saw what happened to you." He said in a jubilant voice.

"What do you want? You don't know me so why did you bring me to this place." I asked being as nice as possible.

"Because I am what you call a demon assassin. There are 3 other types of assassins: king assassins, shadow assassins and just plain assassins. But you… A man of my caliber can't help but notice that you are a mix of demon assassin and shadow assassin." He said cooly.

"What's the difference." I asked in an annoyed voice. Although I admit he had peaked my interest. I had never heard these terms before. My father never went into too much detail, he simply showed me how to fight. I mean he told me I was an assassin but, that's pretty much all he told me.

"Well a king assassin is an assassin who has regular assassins work for him and only him. Those are the guys that you went up against. The shadow assassins are assassins who are a citizen by day and a cold blooded killer at night. Regular assassins just accept any job to assassinate someone and get paid. But most of the time they work for king assassins. Lastly demon assassins like me are assassins who pretty much do whatever we want and kill who we feel the need to. Demon assassins can gain mass amounts of power in their anger or grief, our true power is run on any strong emotions we have, otherwise we are just going easy on our opponent. Also we have things about us like for instance we are almost immortal. Not much hurts us and even if it does manage to hurt us we can't be killed so it's cool right. Well to be honest we can be killed. But you have to kill us by extracting our power first and then killing us. It's close to impossible though so don't worry." He sounded like a teacher as he said those things. "Also demon assassins have black and red eyes. Black for demon, red for bloodlust. If your eyes become red with a black pupil. You'll probably have to be killed. That's if anyone is strong enough to take you down.

"Who's the strongest?" I thought out loud. He didn't seem to notice and thought I was speaking to him.

'You are the strongest. You may not know it yet but you are a new breed of assassin. A mix of demon assassin and shadow assassin. Here take these shades." He said handing me a set of shades exactly like his. "They will keep your overwhelming power at bay. I'm going to teach you how to fight and assassinate like the powerful assassin you are. Don't worry, I'll teach you everything I know. I'm guessing your father, whoever he was, didn't teach you the moves demon assassins have right?." He said in a cool voice before smiling at me.

"No he taught me how to fight normally but that's it. Wait! Will I be able to go to school?" I blurted out hoping it was a no. I didn't actually care for the school. In fact I HATED school.

"Eventually yes. For now go back to sleep. You'll have all the skills I have and some when you wake up. Only demon assassins can teach like this." He said taking his shades off and revealing his black and red eyes. " You will have eyes like a demon assassins' skills like both demon assassins and shadow assassins. Yet your power for having both will be far greater than anyone has ever seen. Well you might be able to use shadow assassin eyes too who knows i guess. Either way when you wake up you will do training where you jump across buildings and run after enemies. To see if you can surpass me. Even though you will have my skills. Training and actually using them will still boost you in different ways. Don't worry about the teachers, they won't kill you or anything for skipping class once or twice. Now sleep, and learn."
