Chereads / The Force Reborn:Harry’s Galactic Harem / Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Echoes of Power

Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Echoes of Power

The fire crackled softly in the small cave, casting flickering shadows across the rough stone walls. Harry sat cross-legged, the warmth seeping into his sore muscles. His shoulder throbbed from the blaster wound, but the pain was manageable—a small price for survival.

The System interface floated in his vision, translucent and persistent.

Harry stared at the data, brow furrowed. So this is my life now—a walking stat sheet with magic fused into the Force.

Yet, beneath the annoyance, excitement stirred. This power… it was limitless. Raw, untamed, unlike anything he'd ever felt as a wizard.

But power without purpose is just chaos.

Harry exhaled slowly, closing his eyes. He reached inward, searching for that strange energy he'd wielded so instinctively during the fight. The Force wasn't like magic. Magic had rules—wand movements, incantations, rituals. The Force was different. It flowed—like a river, vast and eternal.

He felt it: a current of life, death, light, and shadow. Not good or evil. Just… there.

"There is no light without darkness," a distant voice echoed in his mind, unfamiliar yet ancient. "Only balance."

His breathing slowed. The pain faded. His awareness expanded beyond his body—into the cave walls, the desert outside, the faint heartbeat of a creature slithering under the sand miles away.

And something else… watching.

Tatooine—Orbiting Imperial Outpost

In the sterile confines of a starship, holographic displays flickered, tracking anomalies across the desert planet. A woman in sleek black armor, her eyes sharp and predatory, studied the readings.

"Another surge," she muttered, fingers dancing across the console. "This isn't just some rogue Jedi."

She turned to her subordinate, a pale man with cybernetic implants.

"Prepare a team. I want that anomaly found. Alive."

The insignia on her shoulder marked her as an Inquisitor—a hunter of Jedi remnants, servant of the Sith.

But this wasn't a Jedi she was chasing.

It was something far more dangerous.

Back in the Desert

Harry awoke from his trance, drenched in sweat. Hours had passed, though it felt like moments.

He smirked. Not bad.

But his satisfaction was short-lived. A cold chill crawled down his spine—a ripple in the Force.

Danger was coming.

Quickly, he gathered the supplies scavenged from the Tusken Raiders. Water, basic rations, a crude vibroblade he wasn't entirely sure how to wield. The blaster he'd kept felt awkward in his hands, but it was better than nothing.

Stepping out of the cave, he scanned the horizon. The night sky was a sea of stars, unfamiliar constellations twinkling above. But it was the distant lights descending from the sky that caught his attention—shuttles, sleek and black, cutting through the atmosphere like knives.

They're hunting me.

System Alert: New Quest Triggered!

[Quest: Evade the Inquisitors]

• Objective: Escape the Imperial patrol

• Optional Objective: Defeat an Inquisitor (High Risk)

• Reward: +3,000 EXP | Rare Skill Unlock (if Inquisitor defeated)

High risk? Sounds like my kind of fun.

Harry sprinted across the dunes, his senses heightened. He could feel them—dark presences, cold and suffocating, like shadows given form. They weren't Sith, not fully, but corrupted by the dark side in ways he couldn't yet understand.

Blaster fire erupted behind him, red bolts scorching the sand. Harry spun, instinct guiding him more than thought. His hand shot out, and the Force responded. A blaster bolt froze mid-air, suspended for a fraction of a second before he redirected it—right back into the chest of the soldier who fired it.

The man crumpled without a sound.

This power… it's mine now.

But then she appeared.

A figure stepped from the shuttle, clad in dark armor, a crimson lightsaber humming to life. The woman moved with predatory grace, her gaze locking onto Harry with icy precision.

"Surrender," she commanded, voice like velvet over steel. "You're not Jedi, but you will come with me."

Harry's eyes narrowed. Not bloody likely.

He raised his hand, summoning the Force in a surge of raw, unrefined power.
