Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: The Unconscious Yang Hui and the Flustered Gundam Meisters

Coordinates ZD9 are located in a canyon outside of Azadistan. The transport ship arrived safely at the designated location under the protection of Gundam Dynames and Gundam Cherudim. Not long after, Gundam Exia successfully joined them.

However, no one felt at ease, as Gundam Rasiel, who was supposed to cover their retreat, had not yet returned.

Seeing Wang Liu Mei nearly crushing her own hand, Neil stepped forward to comfort her, saying, "Don't worry, Myer will be fine. He has never let anyone down."

"But…" Wang Liu Mei wanted to say something, but upon seeing the faint green light in the distant sky, her eyes reddened, glistening with tears. "Yes, he has never let anyone down."

Neil paused for a moment, looked up at the sky, and then relaxed with a smile.

The black dot in the sky grew larger, eventually coming to a stop in front of them, crouching down steadily.

But the moment the cockpit opened, they couldn't help but feel anxious.

Yang Hui struggled to climb out of the cockpit, but slipped and fell towards the ground.

"Myer!" The Dylandy Brothers and Setsuna rushed over to catch Yang Hui and quickly removed his helmet.

This was the first time they saw Yang Hui's face so pale, even opening his eyes seemed to be a challenge.

"Myer, are you hurt?"

"Hang in there, we'll get you to the medical room right away."

"No… need…" Yang Hui weakly raised his hand to rest on Neil's shoulder. "I'm not injured… just… a bit mentally exhausted… take me back to my room… I want to sleep for a while…"

As soon as he finished speaking, Yang Hui's hand fell limply, his eyes closed. Thankfully, his breathing was steady, which didn't alarm everyone.

"Phew~ What's going on? That was really scary!" Lyle complained with a laugh.

"Myer released the restrictions of the Brain Quantum Waves, so he must be mentally exhausted," Setsuna said. They had never seen Gundam Rasiel's explosive mode, but they were all aware of the information regarding Brain Quantum Waves. Coupled with the action mode that seemed to give life to the GN-bits, Setsuna reached this conclusion.

"Phew~ Really… none of you are easy to deal with," Neil grumbled.

As the older brother among the Gundam Meisters, he felt that none of his younger brothers were easy to manage. Now, with Yang Hui added to the mix, he felt a headache coming on.

"Come with me, the room is ready," Wang Liu Mei said anxiously.

Everyone dared not delay and hurriedly took Yang Hui to the room.

It was good that Myer was fine, but with him asleep, no one knew when he would wake up. What would happen to the subsequent battle plans? They had protected the antenna base, eliminated the rebels, and wiped out AEU's secret forces, but the internal strife in Azadistan was still unresolved.

"It seems… we need to work a bit harder," Neil and Lyle exchanged bitter smiles, and even Setsuna nodded in agreement.

Yang Hui had always been the stabilizing force of the Celestial Being team; with him around, there was no psychological burden in any operation. But now, an awkward situation had arisen.

Although Myer was not seriously injured, no one knew when he would wake up. The situation was urgent; as long as Masoud Rachmadi was not rescued, the situation in Azadistan would worsen. Without Yang Hui's command, they were at a loss for what to do.

The three of them now realized that they had been too reliant on Yang Hui all along.

"What do we do now?" Wang Liu Mei asked, her own anxiety evident. There were too many unforeseen factors in this operation. Even if the subsequent actions had predetermined plans, without Yang Hui at the helm, she felt uneasy.

"Let's execute according to the predetermined plan. The AEU forces have been eliminated, and with such a commotion, the PMC will be under UNION's watch. Our most urgent task now is to locate Masoud Rachmadi and rescue him," Neil decided.

"In that case… I will immediately contact the internal agents in Azadistan to see if they have any leads," Wang Liu Mei said.

"Thank you, sister-in-law."

"Uh…" Upon hearing this, Wang Liu Mei's face flushed, and she muttered to herself as she left, "Sister-in-law? How embarrassing! We're not even married yet…"

The Dylandy Brothers chuckled. Yang Hui was their acknowledged leader; aside from Sumeragi, who was also a sister-in-law, no one else did not respect him. A woman who had already established a relationship was naturally considered a sister-in-law by everyone.

However, soon the brothers' smiles faded as they looked at Setsuna.

"What's wrong?"

"Ali Al-Sachez is attacking our PMC forces."

"What!?" Setsuna's expression immediately changed.

"I thought since he's here, you might recall something? Like their hideout," Neil asked seriously.

"...Coordinates F3987."

"Are you sure?"

"Not certain, but the possibility is high… because there…" An unbearable pain crept onto Setsuna's face, memories of the source of his pain flooding into his mind.

"…" Seeing Setsuna's state, the Dylandy Brothers fell silent.

Among the Celestial Being team, the three who had close ties with Ali Al-Sachez were all present. They all wanted to kill him with their own hands, whether for revenge or to sever the past.

"Lyle, you go with Setsuna. I'll notify Wang Liu Mei to prepare for the rescue of Masoud Rachmadi." After a long silence, Neil decided, walking towards the inner room with a stern expression.

"Brother… I understand." Lyle nodded. Setsuna could lose control, but they could not, especially now that Yang Hui was asleep. They knew that if Yang Hui were awake, he would hand Sachez over to Setsuna to deal with, as Sachez meant more to Setsuna than to them.

"Let's go, Setsuna."

"Lyle…"

"I'm leaving Sachez to you, but I'll say this first… if you can't handle it, I won't hesitate."

Feeling Lyle's serious and cold gaze, Setsuna's hesitation and complexity vanished: "I won't give you the chance."

He needed to find out why Sachez was instigating war. Where was his god?

...

The previous battle naturally alerted the UNION forces. Although they set out immediately, they still arrived too late. At both battlefields, they found only wreckage.

"If I were in the military's upper echelons, I would definitely have the head of the intelligence department executed," Graham mocked as he surveyed the devastated battlefield.

"You wouldn't need to lift a finger; they would probably take action themselves," Billy Katagiri agreed. An entire restructured MS squadron, three missile launch sites, and a large number of PMC foreign mercenaries—how did so many troops secretly enter Azadistan right under their noses?

"However… AEU really took a painful hit; an entire squadron was wiped out just like that."

"It should have been Myer's doing. Look, see?"

Graham took the investigation report that Billy Katagiri handed over, glanced through it, and could confirm that this was Yang Hui's handiwork. A few direct cockpit destructions, many destroyed but with the cockpit intact, and missile debris almost covering the ground. Faced with such a situation, even Graham would have no choice but to retreat, let alone the Gundam Meisters.

"What about the other side?"

"Based on the wreckage at the scene, the PMC's MS forces had at least one squadron, and about half of them were annihilated."

"Only half?" Graham was taken aback, surprised. The PMC, aside from a few elites, mostly consisted of weaklings, and their morale was low, not accepting unified command. It shouldn't be difficult to completely eliminate them, right?

"Technicians found traces of a large transport ship at the scene; it was probably there to protect the transport ship."

"I see."

That made sense. With a transport ship holding them back, they naturally couldn't go all out.

Billy Katagiri looked around to ensure the area was safe before leaning down to whisper in Graham's ear, "According to VEDA's intelligence, the commander this time is Kati Mannequin."

"Ha, that guy Myer is really ruthless?"

"Isn't that right? I hope Mannequin won't be too affected," Billy Katagiri shrugged, sincerely wishing her well.

Just then, Howard Mason came running over, panting heavily, and reported loudly, "Lieutenant, it's Gundam! Gundam has appeared again!"

"What? Where?"
