Chapter 3 - Purchase

DING!

(You got a skill that suits you, One Claw, do you want to use it?)

(Yes/No!)

(Yes!)

Enzo didn't think about selling the skill because there probably wouldn't be anyone interested in buying it.

After he chose yes, the Skill Book disappeared by itself.

DING!

(You have a new skill, One Claw!)

- One Claw

When the skill data appeared, Enzo immediately sensed its existence and he knew how to use it.

As far as he knew, Awakeners usually needed to learn their skills first because they did not immediately master the skills they got except for Innate Skills.

To master the Skill, Intelligence was needed.

However, he mastered the skill right away, which was probably because it was created by himself.

The skill was also physically based so he did not need Primordial Energy to use it.

'Although the skills I'm currently making are weak, if I have a lot of skills, wouldn't that make me have a lot of advantages...'

Shua!

The claw appeared in his hand, completely made of iron with sharp edges.

The taxi driver who was focused on driving couldn't help but be stunned. He saw the claw through the inside mirror, which made him look back.

With a wry smile, he said, "young man, congratulations on your success in becoming an Awakener, but I don't think you need to show your strength in the car. I don't want to brag, one of my customers is also an Awakener and he's very strong."

"I didn't ask," Enzo replied with his eyes only continuing to stare at his claw.

This driver seemed to think he was showing off. He was rather annoyed at being misunderstood like this.

After that, he pulled the claw into his hand until it disappeared.

When he saw an ATM by the roadside, he asked the taxi driver to stop.

"Wait a moment, I want to take some money," he said.

The taxi driver did not refuse his request even though his previous response was quite rude.

He stopped his car in front of the ATM.

Although it's easier to transact online nowadays, cash is still needed, like paying for this taxi, which is easier with cash.

Besides, in the Dragon District, which can be said to be quite underdeveloped, only a few shops accept online payments.

Enzo withdrew 1K dollars, which he would use for his personal business while the rest he would continue to save for any important purposes he might need.

The journey continued and Enzo again tried to make a skill.

He envisioned a foot under which a spear appeared that could stab enemies when he kicked with the bottom of his foot.

Since he didn't have Primordial Energy yet, he was forced to focus on physical skills first.

DING!

(Your Intelligence is not enough to make this skill and you cannot reduce its power anymore. The one you imagined is already the weakest version. Increase your Intelligence by 5 points!)

"What?" Enzo was dumbfounded by the notification until he spontaneously touched his head and scratched his hair.

He imagined another skill, an elongated hand, but that also failed.

'Looks like I need to go to the Primordial World first, now I can't expect anything,' he thought.

He didn't push himself when he realized his incompetence.

After that he remembered the forum and marketplace said by the women in the Primordial Association.

He logged into the Association's website with his cell phone number and immediately received a login code.

Before becoming an Awakener, he did not get that code if he tried to log in to the site.

Once logged in, he did see the forum and marketplace.

When he opened the first one, he found so many threads.

These threads consisted of introductions, guides and discussions on many things in the Primordial World.

Enzo opened the introduction thread to find out the details of the world.

On public sites, information from the Primordial World tended to be limited as the Primordial Association tried to hide it from ordinary people. Only when one became an Awakener did one earn the right to know more.

Opening the thread, Enzo was immediately surprised.

The first thing written was the ranks of the Awakeners starting from Beginner, Expart, Master, Grandmaster, then Ascendant.

There wasn't any description of each rank, but there was a video showing the power of an Ascendant.

Enzo turned it around, seeing a figure shrouded in flames standing in the middle of a large forest.

Suddenly the flames from the figure expanded, engulfing the forest in a huge area.

It was only a moment before the flames disappeared and the result was that the forest swallowed by the flames turned into ashes.

From the video, Enzo could not predict how big the burned area was. However, he was speechless with a gaze that showed disbelief.

This power surpassed his prediction. It was too much more powerful than he thought an Awakener could be.

With that kind of power, wouldn't one person be able to ravage human civilization.

Subconsciously, his hand scrolled down the screen to see more information.

It is said that the Primordial World is a world that earthlings can think of as an infinite fantasy with interesting monsters and inhabitants.

More interestingly, this world is not only connected to Earth.

Unfortunately, more information about that wasn't written, just a piece of information that made people speculate.

After that, the thread began to introduce the various monsters and structures of the Primordial World.

Enzo didn't have a habit of reading, but all the information he read had such a high appeal that he couldn't help but keep reading.

As he continued to read on the forum, he received recommendations on items that he should purchase before entering the Primordial World.

The most important one was Rank 1 Tier C Weapons whose prices ranged from 1 to 1.5K, depending on the type of weapon.

With a savings of 2K which he considered a lot, this price was enough to make him frown.

Unfortunately, being without a weapon in the Primordial World for a beginner was really dangerous.

He had no choice but to order.

What he chose was a knife that cost 1.5K. It was the most expensive type because it had the ability to extend in the form of light.

Although it hurt to spend so much money, Enzo thought it would be helpful. Perhaps it was better than his skills.

After buying the knife, he bought a uniform similar to a swimsuit that would cover his entire body. It cost 500 dollars.

It was something specially made with the ability to not tear so that when he was pierced by thorns or something in the Primordial World, the poison from those thorns would not enter his body.

Protection like this was very important because there were many poisonous plants there. Only when one reached the Expart Rank would they be able to ignore most of the poison.

When he ordered it all, Enzo asked the vendor to send him to the street in front of the Dragon District. He would wait there. The delivery would only take about 30 minutes at most by relying on drones since he was buying from Vera City itself.

"Young man, we've arrived at the Dragon District, where's your house?" The taxi driver suddenly spoke, which took away Enzo's focus.

His eyes stared ahead, looking at the Dragon District in front of him.

It had nine small-sized streets that only fit two cars and then there were many narrow alleys that were only enough for pedestrians.

Most of the buildings around the street were very old and unkempt but the crowds beat the city center with many children playing and drunks wandering around.

Trash seems to be scattered all over the place as everyone is always throwing trash on the street even when there are trash cans next to them.

Instead of cars, the streets are filled with motorcycles with loud exhausts.

Dirty and noisy, that is the only impression given of this district that is considered a thorn in Vera City.

With the advancement of civilization, while the economy seems to be experiencing a great improvement, unfortunately the inequality is very serious, causing a group of people to be very poor.

Poverty then produces a generation that lacks education. The end result was the residents of the Dragon District and it was predicted that they would get worse in the next generation.

"Enough here!" Enzo replied.

He paid the taxi driver with the right amount of money before getting out of his car.

After that, he sat on a chair on the sidewalk, waiting for his order to come while daydreaming.

What he was waiting for came sooner than he expected.

A large drone the size of a motorcycle descended quickly from a high altitude.

It carried many boxes and when it arrived in front of him, it lowered one box into his hands directly. It was only the size of a shoebox because inside was only one knife and a uniform.

He didn't open it, just carried it away, putting it in a plastic bag so that it looked like he was carrying nothing important.
