Chapter 1 - Azure Sky Mountains

The Divine Sword Sect stood tall amidst the towering peaks of the Azure Sky Mountains, its vast courtyards filled with disciples practicing sword techniques and elders imparting wisdom. But beneath this grandeur lay a truth often ignored—the lives of the servants who toiled in the shadows.

Among them was [Protagonist's Name], a lowly servant clothed in tattered robes, his once-bright eyes dulled by suffering. He had no family name, no status, and no future—just another nameless figure assigned to sweeping floors, fetching water, and enduring the scorn of disciples who saw him as nothing more than an insect.

But he had not always been a servant.

A Past Drenched in Blood

Three years ago, he had a family. His father had been a minor elder of a declining clan, and his mother, a kind woman who always believed in his potential. But that life was torn apart in a single night.

The Fierce Blade Sect, a rival force, had descended upon his clan like wolves, slaughtering everyone in their path. His parents, uncles, and even the young children of the clan were mercilessly cut down. He had survived only because his mother had hidden him beneath the floorboards, her blood seeping through the cracks as she was slain before his eyes.

He had wanted to scream, to fight, to avenge them. But what could a powerless boy do?

When he finally crawled out of the blood-drenched ruins, all that remained was ashes and corpses. He wandered for days, surviving on scraps, until he was taken in by the Divine Sword Sect—not as a disciple, but as a servant. A slave meant to clean the grand halls where true cultivators trained, while he was forced to kneel in the dirt.

A Life of Humiliation

"Move faster, trash!"

A bucket of cold water splashed onto him as a group of outer disciples sneered. Bai Shan, one of the sect's young geniuses, smirked as he kicked him aside. "How dare a mere servant block my path? Know your place."

The other disciples laughed, enjoying the sight of his misery. They always targeted him because he never fought back.

But deep inside, he wasn't broken.

He endured, gritting his teeth, waiting for the day when he could rise above them all. He trained in secret at night, mimicking sword techniques he had observed. His hands bled, his body ached, but he never stopped.

Yet, no matter how much he trained, it was useless without a proper cultivation technique. He remained stuck, a mortal among immortals.

Until that night.

The Dao Comprehension System Awakens

The sky was dark, the moon shrouded in thick clouds. He had just finished his daily chores when an old sword caught his eye in the abandoned storage hall. It was rusted, barely more than a broken relic, but something about it called to him.

As soon as he touched the sword—

Ding!

A voice echoed in his mind, cold and emotionless.

[Binding System… Complete.]

His vision blurred, and a wave of enlightenment surged through him. Images of swords cutting through mountains, warriors splitting the heavens, and divine figures wielding celestial blades flooded his mind.

His heart pounded.

For the first time in three years… he felt hope.

This was the beginning. The path of revenge had begun.
