"Wake up, Al!!"
"You are going to be late for school."
"What? But it's ....."
"No. It's already 8 o'clock. Gotta hurry."
Al gets up from the bed with his still sleepy look n his face and hurries into the washroom.
"Slow down, Al."
Al's mother calls out from behind.
Al not even listening to anything close the washroom door.
Al's mother looks for some moments and heads to kitchen.
Al comes out from the washroom after washing up and quickly finding his clothes and wearing them, he grabs his bag and head to kitchen.
"Mom. I am going to school. It's already late so I will skip breakfast today."
"Al, wait."
But before she could utter more words, Al had already rushed out of the door and she couldn't even see him.
Sigh.
Taking a long sigh, she returns to her work.
Evening
Al having completed his class for the day returned to his home, only to find it surrounded with people and cops blocking the house.
Al's heart skipped a beat and he was motionless. No thoughts came to his mind and his face was blank. His heart was anxious and was in panic but his expression was blank.
After some time, he slowly walks toward the house but the cops blocks him. The cop had a frame in his hand containing the photograph of his and his mother. Al slowly looks at the cop and peek into the house.
The house floor was red and there was a body at the entrance. It seemed like a female body. He looked at the feet of the motionless corpse and slowly looked upward toward the face but the face was covered with a cloth.
Gasp. Gasp.
Al wakes up. His body drenched in sweat. He quickly calms himself and finds the familiar surrounding. It was his base of operations.
Al looks around but finds noone.
"Where has Mike gone?"
Al gets up from the bed and looks at the time. It was 9 o'clock in the morning.
Since we have taken care of everyone in Kite's group along with Kite, there should be no problem for us in a short time. Al thought to himself.
He washes himself up abd looks in the mirror.
Al was 5 feet 8 inch tall with black hair and black eyes. His hair were long, going past his ears but not touching his shoulders. He looked average with no facial hair.
Looking at himself in the mirrror, Al couldn't help of things he had been through since that day when his mother was shot dead in his own home. His life was never easy but he endured, endured and endured and here he was.
He saw many things good and bad and done many things just to survive. He had no goals nor dreams but he wished to survive. For as long as he could.
Creak.
The sound of door opening spread and Al came out his tboughts. He looked back and saw Mike bringing groceries to prepare meal.
Mike was someone he saved 4 years ago and two had stayed together since then. He trained Mike at least to enough to protect himself and two had survived to this day.
"Come. Help me." Mike said heading toward the kitchen.
Al said nothing and went to prepare breakfast along with Mike.
Two bowl of oats and milk were prepared and they took seat and started eating.
"Is there any news?" Al said, eating.
"Nothing. The Tiger gang has shown no movements. But I believe they already know that Kite was taken down. It's just that they can't track us or even know we killed Kite."
Al nodded but said nothing.
Mike seeing this, couldn't help but say,"Al, do we really had to do this? Provoking them only leads to trouble. Killing Kite was an overkill. We could have just run away."
"No. Killing Kite was for his own good. With the things we stole from them yesterday, Kite would have been implicated and have fate worse than death."
"It was better that we killed him and what we stole testerday no should know. You know the consequences of that, right?"
"Well, who could have guessed that Tiger gang had bullets and Firearms though there were only 7 guns and about 100 bullets."
Al looked at Mike with cold emotion.
"Shh. Don't talk about this."
Hearing this, Mike immediately shut his mouth. But after thinking, he couldn't help but ask.
"Isn't trading of Firearms banned? And how did they get these. If military gets wind of this they are finished, no?"
"Mike. Be careful about this topic and sanothing more about it. It's better if you forget about it."
Al said sighing not wanting to continue the conversation.
"But."
Hah.
"Mike. This matter is between Military and Tiger gang. We shouldn't concern ourselves with it for our own good. And it seems there's a big conspiracy about this ban and there are traitors in military willing to overlook ban and trade weapons."
"They may be planning something big. And with the situation that turned out after ban, it definitely is something we should steer clear of."
"Then what about those 50 bullets and 2 guns we stole?"
"Let's hide them for now. It's better not to use them. They are only trouble and might draw us unwanted attention. Unless we are at ends rope, let's forget we have those."
"Al, do you think we made a mistake stealing those?"
"No. That was the best choice. Though we were just trying to steal some cash, who would have thought there were firearms there. And it was our only opportunity to get it."
"As long as we never mention it. Tiger gang won't mention it either. They have more troubles to watch out for than us becausr of this."
"And they are in more danger if this news leaks out. They know this too. They are also aware whoever stole those guns can't do anything woth them and just have to hide it and f9rget anything if they want to remain safe. So they are silent."
"But if they get any information about this they won't hesisate to attack us at once."
"So lets keep it low for some days. We have neccessary cash and provisions so lets take it as a chance to get rest."
Al said looking quite tired.
"Yes." Mike said, after thinking it through.
"It's been many days since we had rest."
