Chapter 2: Girlfriend Sakura
Sakura Haruno widened her eyes, thinking she must have misheard.
Whenever she came to see Sasuke-kun in the past, she was either turned away or left empty-handed.
Sasuke had never shown her a kind face!
He always wore a stern expression, as if the entire world owed him money.
Yet, despite this, Sakura had never given up on her feelings for Sasuke.
Her devotion even caused a rift with her childhood friend and closest companion, Ino Yamanaka, as they both grew up liking the same person.
---
"Sas... Sasuke, what did you just say?"
Sakura lifted her delicate, fair face, which was now flushed with a rosy hue. Her expression was a mixture of shyness and disbelief, as though she were dreaming.
Sasuke looked at the beautiful girl in front of him, her eyes filled with joy directed solely at him.
Before he transmigrated, as an otaku, he never received such treatment.
'This is Sakura Haruno, the main heroine of Naruto!'
To have her so devoted from the start...
If it weren't for the [Invincible Sign-In System], Sasuke might not have had the courage to navigate this unfamiliar world.
But now, with his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and Jonin-level chakra reserves, even someone as strong as Kakashi Hatake would have to bow before him and call him "Master!"
Sakura, always conscious of her appearance, had meticulously maintained her pink hair, which looked exceptionally glossy and beautiful at this moment.
Sasuke flashed a confident, handsome smile. "Silly girl, of course, I meant what I said."
"From now on, you're my girlfriend."
Although Sakura's personality in the original series wasn't particularly likable and her popularity paled compared to Hinata's, it was mainly because the audience viewed Naruto Uzumaki as the protagonist. Naruto's unrequited love for Sakura, his persistent devotion, and her often dismissive attitude made her come across as ungrateful.
Compared to Hinata's unwavering affection for Naruto, Sakura seemed far less endearing.
But think about it from another perspective:
If Sasuke Uchiha were the protagonist instead?
Sakura's obsession with Sasuke's good looks might be a given, but throughout the entire series, she never wavered in her feelings for him. Her heart always belonged to Sasuke, no matter what.
A girl this devoted, with her eyes filled only with him—how could Sasuke, now a transmigrated otaku, possibly reject her?
---
'Of course, hehe, all the beautiful girls in Naruto will be mine!'
Having transmigrated to this world of gorgeous anime characters and possessing Sasuke's handsome features, there was no way he wouldn't create a massive harem.
"Sakura, I've seen all the things you've done for me over the years and how deeply you care for me."
Sasuke spoke sincerely. "Sakura, become my girlfriend."
"Sasuke—!"
At that moment, Sakura's heart raced like a deer caught in headlights. She had never imagined that her brave confession today, accompanied by a gift for Sasuke, would actually move him.
She was overjoyed!
Overwhelmed with emotion!
Unable to contain herself, Sakura threw herself into Sasuke's arms. For countless nights, she had dreamed of being with him...
Now, her wish had finally come true.
To confirm that this wasn't just a dream but reality, she clung tightly to Sasuke.
Sasuke, of course, welcomed her embrace.
Unlike Sakura, who had pined for Sasuke for years, the otaku he had once been had fantasized endlessly about intimate moments with beautiful anime girls.
Now, his dream had become reality.
"Sasuke, Sasuke, I... I like you so much! I really, really like you!"
Having harbored feelings for him since childhood, Sakura was overwhelmed by emotions now that Sasuke had suddenly accepted her.
Tears of joy welled up in her eyes as she poured her heart out to him.
Sasuke held her close, savoring the sweetness of being embraced by an anime heroine.
'So this is what it feels like to hug an anime waifu. It's even better than I imagined.'
He now fully understood why he had always been drawn to anime girls and characters in games. It wasn't just because they were beautiful, with perfect bodies and personalities.
It was because they embodied the ideal, free from the flaws of real-life women.
Sasuke silently marveled, 'I love this anime world. I adore these anime girls.'
---
Sakura, finding emotional solace, felt truly cherished.
Sasuke, on the other hand, felt his otaku fantasies fulfilled.
The two embraced each other for a long time, both too moved to let go.
After a while, Sakura calmed down and started to feel a twinge of doubt.
'Is this really Sasuke-kun in front of me?'
How could he have changed so much?
If Sasuke had been moved by her dedication and decided to accept her feelings, that would have been understandable.
But...
'Could it be...? This isn't Sasuke-kun?'
'What if it's Naruto Uzumaki transformed to look like Sasuke?'
The thought made her face turn pale.
She remembered a specific moment from the original series when Naruto had ambushed Sasuke, transformed into his likeness, and attempted to deceive Sakura, even trying to steal her first kiss.
It had been a shocking and unforgivable act.
Now, with Sasuke acting so differently, Sakura couldn't help but suspect that this might not be the real Sasuke.
Quickly, Sakura pushed him away.
Her pink hair was slightly messy, and her red qipao outfit looked disheveled. Her face was flushed, a mix of shyness, gratitude, and suspicion.
Her gaze became more serious as she studied Sasuke closely.
"Sasuke, I'm so happy that you've accepted me as your girlfriend…"
"But!"
"Are you really Sasuke?"
Sasuke froze for a moment, realizing he might have overdone it earlier.
His mind raced.
He had three options. The first was to come clean and admit he was a transmigrator, now inhabiting Sasuke's body.
But that was out of the question—he would never reveal that secret.
The second option was to use the [Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan] he had just unlocked. By casting a genjutsu, he could erase Sakura's doubts completely.
However, resorting to genjutsu seemed like a cheap move. Winning someone's love through illusions felt hollow.
So, Sasuke decided on the third option: he would earn Sakura's trust through genuine emotions.
And if that didn't work, well, there was always genjutsu as a last resort.
