He decided to discard the necklace, choosing to give it to one of the newbies grinding not so far away from him.
"Thanks, Brother!"
He had also gained another level, boosting him to Level 2. He, deciding the best thing to do was secretly cheat by going to the locations of the secret quests and items and thus gaining lots of fame for "somehow" being the richest person in the entire game, did exactly what he decided to do.
The first quest he went to was by far the most influential, The Quest of The Dragonfang.
This quest granted him to be a Dragon, one who ranks up through the means of devouring and conquering.
There were many races, most notably the:
Orcs,
Angels,
Dragons,
Beasts,
Fairies,
and the Dark Ones.
These 6 races maintained the balance of God's descent, since three were "good", and three were "bad".
(The ones in italic are good, for those wondering.)
Among them, all were Legendary Grade. Dragon being the highest grade at Artifact, due to it's ability to level up the host of the race through the means of eating other beasts, and the lowest grade Orcs, being at legendary level, granting the host of the race an extra talent which grants authority over lower beings, useful at some situations.
Here are the grades in order,
Common,
Uncommon,
Rare,
Legendary,
Mythic,
Divine,
and Artifact.

Alex walked into an old cabin, with a haystack acting as a bed. On it, was lying an old man.
"Young man, I do not have much time left." Said the old man. "I need you to carry on my lineage, please.. Accept my offer.. I'll grant you immense power.."
[Quest: Dragon Race]
[Description: Accept or Refuse.]
Rewards: Dragon Race
"Huh.. quite simple." Said Alex, he was expecting a much more fierce task to complete.
Alex's finger hovered over Accept, he accepted the quest.
A glowing light enveloped Alex.
[Congratulations on receiving the Dragon Clan (Artifact)!]
[Effects: As a Dragon, you can level up through feasting on monsters, preferably Dragons. By doing so, you get exp based on the tier it was.]
Alex was perplexed. What does that mean? The tier of a monster? That was something nobody found out about even in his past life.
"Why am I even thinking about this? No matter the tier, I'll eat it. Simple."
But after thinking about it for some time afterwards, he knew he couldn't eat so much. That was the first thing he should've even thought about.
"I guess I'll find a way out of this mess after, like, I do more quests." Alex thought.
And then, the real grind began. It was mostly just defeating monsters, gaining talents, getting accessories, and then the sweet reward of the quest was given.
Alex defeated a quest for a Mythic Grade Empyrean Sword, another for a Stealthy Steps Skill-book (Sword art - Artifact), and one for a Divine Judgement [Artifact Skill], and the last for an Artifact Grade Set of Hatred [Equipment].
At this point, the only thing that he had under Artifact Grade was the Empyrean Sword, but that was because he was only in the Starter Village.
Any other quest that gave less than a Mythic was out of the question. Alex didn't have time to do so many quests just for a worse reward than normal.
He also discarded every Talent that he got under S rank, he didn't want the system to flood his vision with Talents everytime he opened it. The same went for accessories and equipment.
"System,"
"Stats."

Alex was overwhelmed. He was now having the Stat window that a Level 500 Boss normally had. Not to mention players, who had a hard time finding even Mythic drops and skills.
He also got many points for discarding other talents. That wasn't mentioned in the system. It added three Effects to his Talent.
"Holy shit, wait a second."
Alex received a God-given talent - Shadow Assassin. It had immense speed and stealth, Alex didn't know how to feel. Perhaps a God had taken interest in him. There was no notification that he got about a God-given Talent. Perhaps even the Gods didn't even know that he was a reincarnated being. Perhaps it was the God of Destiny himself, since he received his blessing when God knows when. Literally and metaphorically. Nonetheless, he had to kill the Gods, no matter if they knew about it or didn't.
He decided to leave the town, but the towns after this one were locked, opening in 6 days for the players to prepare before leaving. He had to wait 6 days to get his job too, so that was unfortunate.
"Should have mentally prepared myself for this but, ah, what can I do.."
Meanwhile, in the heart of Starter village.
"Hey! What the fuck are you doing?" A man in robes shouted out, his hair as black as an endless pit.
"Mind your own business. I'm walking here." A woman in red garments, with unique patterns, commanded. Her voice that of a commander who had witnessed many battles and authority flowing out her mouth. Her tresses as black as raven.
"U-uh-uhh, Sorry, M-ma'am." These were the words of the same man who had cursed at her.
Back where Alex was, he decided to set up a shop near the Blacksmith, selling all of the loot he got by defeating the monsters in the quests.
"Selling uncommon and above loot, lower than market price!"
In God's Descent, any person can set up shop if they had the materials. It was an inbuilt feature of the system.
Thousands of people swarmed around him, and seeing his quality equipment, gave thousands of white gold and gold coins to him in exchange for the lowest grade rare weapon, since getting a drop in the starter village was especially hard, due to there being as many bosses as fingers on your hand.
1 White Gold Coin = $10,000
1 Gold Coin = $100
1 Silver Coin = $10
1 Bronze Coin = $1
"Hey boss, do you have any Legendary equipment?"
A man with a formal yet pleasing voice asked.
"?!" Alex immediately recognised that face. It was Dave, a man who was by his side even when the Gods came down specially to kill him.
Alex wanted to immediately hug him. However, he resisted his urges, and said, "Yes, Dave."
"How... do you know my name?"
