Suddenly, everything went silent. His vision blackened. The sensations of his body were gone. Had he been hit? But there was no death message? Perhaps his mind gave out from overusing the skill? 'No! I refuse.' A sound like a bell echoed throughout his empty mind. From within his mind a golden thread cast out before him like a fishing line."Auric Horizon!" The words didn't come from his mind instead they came from deep within his soul. With frightening speed that shattered the ground beneath Kuro surged directly towards Lycagon his katana sliced across the entirety of her body. Mid-air he sheathed his sword a mass of slices ran up the night's body like the branching paths of lightning his hit counter shot up rapidly.27 hits. One skill had not only delivered a powerful singular strike across the whole body, but had also been followed up with 21 smaller strikes along the original slice. 'Auric Horizon' A skill never before heard of. Lycagon slammed onto the floor, rapidly she deviated he trajectory to face Kuro, who was still in the air. Tendrils of lightning etched off of her body, not because of her abilities but instead because of his skill whatever he had done actually dealt damage. Kuro landed on the ground gracefully and faced Lycagon. His mind pounded in his head, the cost of that skill no doubt. He was also no longer able to use 'Segment Mind' making this fight around 100x harder than it just was.Lycagon lifted her head and released a screeching howl, the sky trembled while it may have been above her it was not out of reach. She was superior. A crushing weight pushed down onto Kuro and his body was sapped of its strength. "Dominance of The Night?" Kuro exclaimed with wide-eyes. He stared down at the system alert unmoving, one couldn't be sure if it was because of his current state or shock.'You have been afflicted with 'Dominance of The Night.' Kuro's face paled. "This isn't possible..." Despair struck like a hammer on iron. "What do these devs expect me to do against that!?" He cried out, "I bet it's one of those devs who loves the impossible for the story vibe!" His eyes glanced over at the win conditions, "Even just 10 seconds... I have to try." Kuro pulled himself to his knees stabbing his sword into the floor as a crutch to stabilise himself. Despite the weight crushing his body. He persevered. Weakly, he tapped the accept option and using a rush of strength he lifted his sword into a defensive position. Lycagon hurdled forward slamming her paws down on him in consecutive rapid attacks. His katana screeched as metal began to splinter. Tendrils of shadow ruptured from the earth, attacking from behind. Onslaught ensued as Kuro struggled desperately to maintain dodging and parrying.9...The attacks grew lighter. However, there speed seemed to double. What were once visible attacks transformed into blurs of black and purple. Kuro strained as it became harder to manage parrying and dodging all without the help 'Segmented Mind.' 8... The attacks were unyielding. Lycagon showed now signs of exhaustion or hesitation. Kuro's movements began to slow and his accuracy wavered. What were once effortless manoeuvres became an overexerted struggle for life.7...Only three meagre seconds had passed yet to Kuro it felt like hours... His parries became too much effort and he forced his attention on the soul priority of dodging. Forcing strength into his legs he activated an agility skill.6...Kuro Launched into the sky like a rocket, the tendrils of night veered directly up, hunting him like pray. Lycagon's form disappeared. She morphed into the night, planning a decisive strike. By now, Kuro expected this.5... As to not waste an ounce of energy he waited for the latest possible moment. Lycagon reappeared. Her jaws wide open and ready to snap him in two. Seconds before falling into her giant maw he parried with all his might. While the force did nothing to Lycagon it was enough to just barely push Kuro out of the way.4...The two landed on the ground with respective thuds. Lycagon disappeared once more. Tendrils hunted Kuro. He dodged them with difficulty only to be met with Lycagon's form right beside him. A paw slammed down. The ground shook and dust arose.3... Kuro, who had been right next to where the paw impacted, was flung into the air. Lycagon hastily manoeuvred her other paw to slash him out of the air, he directed the point of his sword at her paw. With a loud ting the blade of the sword snapped like a twig. But, it had done it's job, he survived the impact and was flung a large distance away from Lycagon.2...Lycagon began pacing full speed in the direction Kuro had been sent. Tendrils of darkness shot ahead of her attempting to restrict Kuro's movements, but the distance was too great. Kuro's shot of brilliance in sacrificing his weapon to gain distance might just win him the battle. The tendrils exploded on nearby rocks and Lycagon focus not on attacking but reaching him. 1...By the time Lycagon had reached Kuro it was already too late... She merged with the darkness to attack him from all angles shooting tendrils of various sizes and speeds but before they could reach him the time limit ended.0!The Unique Scenario: Wrath of The Night.
