The next day,as usual Donald ignored Juliana throughout. When it was lunch break she picked her phone and went to the lunch hall.The day before she skipped lunch because she was still settling down. She stepped into the hall and sat down at a corner. She was focused on her phone while eating and didn't notice when someone sat beside her. Kaiden was watching her all the while. It was until she mistakenly touched his hand when she wanted to pick her spoon that she noticed him.
" Hi" she said awkwardly.
" Hey, I am Kaiden "He said. Juliana immediately recognised him as one on the diligent riches. He was blonde and also the kindest.
" I am Juliana, we are at the same department " Juliana replied.
Kaiden smiled and said " Yeah I know, you are Donald's seat mate right "
"Yeah " Juliana said
" So how are you guys getting along " Kaiden said smiling.
Juliana paused and looked at him " He practically ignored me throughout even when I greeted him"
" Sounds like Donald. Well you shouldn't take it to heart. It's his attitude, not doing it intentionally " Kaiden said.
" Yeah I know, I still wonder how you cope with him " Juliana said jokingly.
Kaiden smiled and said " well I am stucked with him so I am coping you know "
Just then Donald entered the hall and saw both of them smiling together. He kept wondering what was so funny. He stared at Juliana and recognised her as the new student. Didn't she just resume yesterday and here she is already smiling with Kaiden. No wonder she tried to talk to him.
Donald stared at them for a while and walked out of the hall without eating. Instead he went to the canteen and ordered sandwich with drink.He sat at one end of the table eating and playing game. Juliana came out of the lunch hall and went to the buy yoghurt at the canteen, as she was about to leave she saw Donald and was surprised.
" Why didn't he eat in the lunch hall? Such a weird guy."she murmured and walked away.
After the lunch break she had physics practical. She was paired with Donald again. Juliana kept wondering why her luck was so bad to be paired with this cold guy.
After the practical she had two lectures .Immediately after her lectures she went back to her hostel.
Donald also went to his hostel after his lectures . He had just finished a shower and changed his clothes when he heard a knock. He opened the door knowing who it is already. Kaiden entered and sat on the cushion. Donald sat not far away from him playing with his phones
" You know you don't have to ignore everyone you come across. At least try to make friends " Kaiden said.
" So I must start talking with anyone that comes my way " Donald replied not raising his head from his phone.
" Never said so" Kaiden said " Says the person who started talking with someone he just met" Donald said
" She is a very nice girl " Kaiden said chuckling.
Donald knew that was why he came.He stood and said "whatever, it's none of my business" before walking into his room and closed the door. Kaiden sighed shaking his head looking at the closed door.He walked out of his hostel
