Long ago, before the first creatures and people spawned into the world, there were three comets gliding across the cosmos. These celestial bodies collided with the planet, forming giant craters that would later form into volcanoes, like planetary scars. From these craters crawled out three massive beings made of stardust, cosmic energy, and a nearly indestructible, metallic material. These beings were titans, the first to set foot in this world and be revered as primordial gods later on by humankind. Through the maturation of the world, three distinct regions formed: a domain in the sky, one of the sea, and the last on land. The three titans chose their own domains to rule over, although they decided to enslave humanity for thousands of years. The titans would sire children later by three celestial spirits descended from stars. Ten children in all, these celestial beings (gods in the eyes of men) would eventually overthrow their titan parents and free humankind from their enslavement. The children divided up the domains evenly among the ten of them, that they may rule over these regions, becoming patrons of future factions and kingdoms. As it were, there arose three peaks among the gods: Oraelius, god of the sky; Amarinia, goddess of the sea; Thargahl, god of the land.
