Everyone in the room was shocked. The royal family had no words to describe what was happening; the existence they considered invincible was being dealt with easily. The invisible existence seemed to not be giving its all; it seemed like it was simply testing the dragon, or to be more precise, it was toying with it. Lia was watching with wide eyes what was happening. She was not able to see her friend, as he was invisible. But, from everything she had heard so far, it seemed to indicate that her friend was stronger than she thought. There were many mixed emotions inside her: fear, admiration, happiness, respect; all of these were mixing inside her. Soon, everyone in the room heard a voice; it was D, whom they knew very well.
"Hey, I don't have all the time in the world. Since you already said you weren't going to leave peacefully, I have no choice but to start attacking you to death. I am fair with my opponents, so since you are not directly related to the guys trying to take the elf girl's life, I have decided that if you survive one of my attacks, I will answer your questions and let you go," declared the invisible existence. There was an unprecedented seriousness in his voice; without a doubt, he was serious. But this did not seem to be well received by the person right in front of him, just a few meters away.
"It's fine," the dragon replied as he let out a sigh. It was more than clear that he was upset; after all, a vein could be seen bulging on his forehead. It seemed like rage was about to explode inside him; his pride had been hurt. It was the first time he had been treated in such a way. But he had already dismissed those thoughts; he told himself that this existence that remained hidden was a worthy opponent, so there was no reason to feel ashamed.
Fanaryss had remained silent until now; she had not said anything since the moment that existence had appeared. She was analyzing the entire environment she had been forcibly brought into. One glance was enough to know that this place was formidable; even she, a being that transcended all logic, was affected by the power of this place, or more specifically, the power of this dimensional space. She knew that maintaining this place required immense reserves of mana. She realized that this did not seem to be a problem for that existence that remained invisible. She had already been told a few things about this individual, so she could imagine what he really looked like: this was an extremely powerful individual. It was more than clear that this was not someone she could easily deal with; to begin with, she did not even know how much energy this individual had, and from the little she had seen so far, she was not even able to perceive the phenomena that the invisible individual was shaping. It was as if an invisible force was hiding the processes that were normally visible with the 'magic eye'. Fanaryss had not said anything regarding the intervention of that being, as she was busy analyzing it; for her it was a good object of study. It was the first time she had encountered such a strange subject. Soon she could hear the voice of the individual who was hidden.
"From what I can see, your race is quite proud. As a sign of respect, I will let you see my true appearance, although it may be the last thing you ever see," the invisible existence declared. Shortly after saying those words, a few meters away from the dragon, a figure slowly began to appear. Everyone present turned their heads towards the place where the boy's voice came from, and soon everyone witnessed the appearance of the guy who had been hiding. The boy had white hair and light blue eyes; his skin was beautiful and he was finely dressed in a beautiful black suit that made him look even more beautiful than he already was. Seeing the true appearance of that entity, the dragon quickly opened its eyes in surprise and asked:
"A human?" the dragon asked in shock.
"Why do you ask that? Can't you see that I'm a human through and through?" the figure of the white-haired, blue-eyed boy asked with obvious annoyance; his patience was running out.
"The balance is definitely broken; this should not be possible."
"Just shut your mouth and defend yourself; I'm going to attack," declared the white-haired, blue-eyed existence.
Right after he let out that statement, everyone witnessed how a figure had suddenly appeared behind the dragon, but the dragon had not noticed that fact; he had simply materialized behind the dragon's back. The royal family and the divine beast witnessed this, but they did not say anything and remained silent. The dragon was not aware that the white-haired, blue-eyed boy had already appeared behind him, but there was something that had left everyone confused: there were two white-haired, blue-eyed boys; the one who was staring at the dragon and the one behind the dragon. A voice could be heard; it was the boy who was behind the dragon.
"Sweet dreams, dragon," the figure that had appeared behind the dragon had declared. By the time the dragon tried to turn its head to make eye contact, it was too late. The small human boy had already touched its back with his right hand. Almost instantly after having touched it, a phenomenon occurred that took not only the dragon by surprise, but everyone present, who were stunned by what they were seeing. They all witnessed how cuts began to appear all over the dragon's body; blood could be seen seeping out of the wounds that had suddenly appeared. It was a curious phenomenon that sowed many doubts in everyone present, since no weapons had been used to create such a thing; the appearance of the wounds was almost instantaneous. They could only see how the blood of one of the most powerful creatures in the world flowed in droves.
Ugh!
The creature's groan could be heard. It fell to the ground without putting up any resistance, and it was normal for this to happen; after all, many nerves had been compromised and most of the muscles had been cut internally, and if one took into account the fact that even parts of the heart and brain were cut off, it was normal to expect this to happen. The white-haired boy's intention was never to let this existence go, but if it was actually able to survive this, he would undoubtedly keep his promise, the boy said loudly for everyone to hear.
"In the end, you were just a little dragon," the boy declared arrogantly. The reality was that he didn't want to fight this individual, as he knew that this guy had nothing to do with the invaders who were after the elf girl's life, but at the same time he knew that this guy could cause big trouble. The only reason he was able to easily defeat him was because he was within the authority; if it were a face-to-face fight, without the aid of an authority, his defeat was guaranteed; that dragon outclassed him in almost everything: strength, speed, defense, agility, experience. The only thing he was confident he could outdo was the amount of mana.
The comment he had made was heard by everyone present; the main idea behind this comment was that he wanted to instill fear and respect; he didn't want to look weak in front of the royal family, much less in front of that great beast that looked like a giant wolf. The boy spoke as he looked at the dragon that had been shrunken.
"Though I must acknowledge your bravery; not just anyone would dare to oppose me," the white-haired boy declared. The royal family and the divine beast did not know that the boy was bluffing; the reality was that he would not be able to activate his authority again, as doing so would run him out of mana; he had completely abused his power, he had completely overstepped his bounds. Though it was Gardolak's fault ; he had forced him to exert too much force, and the mana expenditure he had had was massive. Right now he only had the energy left to activate his authority once more. After a few seconds of observing the dragon that had apparently been killed, the white-haired boy realized one thing.
"Are you really still alive?" the white-haired, blue-eyed boy said out loud. His words made everyone present fix their gaze on the dragon lying on the ground, seemingly dead, but they all thought it was impossible for something to survive with such injuries.
"Interesting; I've definitely learned something new today. Next time, I won't underestimate a dragon's heart."
The boy could see that the dragon's heart was beating; it was so slight that it was difficult to identify such a phenomenon. Noticing this he immediately spoke, while turning his head towards Angrod .
"This guy is alive; I'll let you decide whether you're going to let him live or let him die. From now on, he's in your hands."
After the white-haired boy declared that, he immediately raised his right hand and snapped the fingers of his hand. And almost instantly, the world that had turned white quickly disappeared; the world had once again taken on its original color. Everyone had returned to the forest they were in. Everyone could tell that there were no longer two white-haired boys; now there was only one left, and it was the same one who had attacked the dragon from behind. Just as the royal family was starting to relax, the white-haired boy turned his head towards the large wolf-like beast and asked in a threatening tone:
"Do you wish to fight me?"
With the single question that was asked by the boy, everyone could feel that the tension had risen again. The boy was staring at the beast with a cold and indifferent gaze. Fanaryss didn't know the reason why that boy was asking that, but she decided to answer him with a question anyway.
"What will you do if I say yes?"
"I'm going to kill you in a horrible way that you won't even be able to imagine," the boy declared as he looked up at the massive beast. The reason behind why the boy was so menacing was because he had been reading the beast's mind, and it seemed to be eager to fight him.
"How interesting; you're quite confident despite having used a great amount of energy. I know that maintaining authority for such a long time consumes large amounts of mana. Although I couldn't measure how much energy you expended, I know it had to be quite a lot, but are you still confident that you can take me on after fighting that dragon?" Fanaryss was sure that the boy didn't have much energy left; he had to be close to the limit already.
"I don't have the slightest problem with beating you up; in fact, it's very beneficial to me. After I kill you, I'm going to make myself a coat from your skin," the boy declared in a cold and indifferent voice. That statement caused the divine beast to show a strange smile on its beastly face.
"You are a most interesting being. But don't worry, I'm not going to fight you right now. Besides, I don't have a reason to; I just got a little carried away. But at least answer me one question: do you consider yourself the strongest?" Fanaryss asked; she had doubts about that. That individual was undoubtedly arrogant; she wanted to know if he recognized someone as the strongest, or himself. But what the boy said from his mouth made the hairs on her back stand up.
"Unfortunately, I am not the strongest; there are several subjects who greatly surpass me." The boy was talking about that existence locked in the library and that existence that managed to imprison Gárdolak .
"I understand; and those people you consider stronger than you, are they your friends or your enemies?"
"What do you want to know that for?" the boy asked in a cold voice; his mood was getting worse with every passing second. He had to go to sleep soon; after all, he could already feel the after-effects of the battle; his body and soul demanded a rest.
"I'm just curious; it's not every day I meet such a strange guy."
"Those guys are neither my friends nor my enemies. Although, honestly, it's better if we don't cross paths in the future, because that could change."
After the white-haired boy and the divine beast finished speaking, Angrod stepped in; he seemed to have spoken with his son and they had made a decision regarding the dragon that was lying dying on the ground. The decision they made did not surprise the boy at all; on the contrary, a smile had appeared on his face. After all, the royal family had decided that they would help the dragon that was slowly dying. The white-haired boy tried to say a few words to the two, but unfortunately the boy heard a voice inside him:
- LIMIT EXCEEDED. HIBERNATION WILL BE ENTERED. DURATION: 30 DAYS.
The boy quickly understood what was happening, and before he fell asleep helplessly, he said to the little girl who looked at him with tender eyes:
"Take the black cube and do not part with it; under no circumstances let other people touch it; only you are allowed to do so."
The girl who heard the boy's words was unable to understand what he was talking about, but it didn't take long for her to understand what he meant. She witnessed, just like the others, how the white-haired boy instantly disappeared, and in his place a black cube had appeared. This event had left them all shocked.
