Chapter 69 - Assault on the Mansion IX

Everyone present had stood still. All they could do was silently stare at the silver-haired girl. Jalren, Mostrug, Igroxith, Brozgathan, and Aris had come to an understanding: they were not going to leave this place alive. The silver-haired girl was looking in another direction; she was not looking at them. At first glance, it seemed like she had let her guard down. But they knew that even if she let her guard down, no one would dare attack her. And the reason for this was simple: their bodies were not responding to them properly. They had seen that the girl seemed to have spoken to the void, but they knew better than anyone that there was nothing in this place. The girl soon broke the silence.

"Do you want to fight me?" the silver-haired girl asked into the void. She seemed to be talking to someone. Everyone present thought she had gone mad, but the reality was very different. It wasn't long before a voice could be heard throughout the area. That voice sent shivers down everyone's spine.

"Kukukuku. You are a most interesting girl. You must be the variable that will destroy this world sooner or later," the voice said in a playful tone.

"You interfered with my authority to save the lives of those individuals. Your actions are a declaration of war. Answer the question I have asked you," the silver-haired girl was demanding an answer to the question she had asked.

"I don't want to fight you, but that Aris over there is my friend and I can't let you kill him. If you let him go, I promise I won't interfere. What do you think?" the voice said.

The strange voice, coming from nowhere, could be heard everywhere. Aris knew who that voice belonged to. Without a doubt, it was Gardolak. He knew that if Gardolak had come to their rescue, they could get out of this place alive. But unfortunately for them, the silver-haired girl spoke.

"Your interference won't change anything. They will all die. You cannot defeat me in this realm; at most, you can hurt me, but it is impossible for me to lose. While I cannot kill you, you cannot kill me either, and besides, I have the advantage in this situation. You used your own authority to undo mine; that caused my authority to undo itself and spread throughout the realm like a wave. Just imagine what will happen if a dragon senses my authority and decides to come and see what is going on." The girl's statement rendered Gardolak silent. He did not want to draw attention to himself. He had attempted to suppress the girl's authority, but he miscalculated the amount of energy she had pent up. And that caused the girl's authority to shatter and spread throughout the area. If, by pure chance, a dragon sensed the energy, it would undoubtedly perk up and enter the fight, whether it was for fun or personal reasons.

"You seem to be familiar with the dragon race?" the voice asked.

"Enough of unnecessary talk. Try to protect them again, if you dare," the girl replied.

"Kukukuku, you're so stubborn. It's a pity you're not as understanding as that white-haired, blue-eyed boy. It's certainly a pity to have to kill you in this place," the voice said.

Everyone was witnessing the exchange between the silver-haired girl and that voice that had suddenly appeared and could be heard throughout the area, the silver-haired girl commented to the void.

"Let's see if you can stand up to a full display of my authority," the girl said.

After the silver-haired girl said those words, an imposing energy appeared on the girl's body. It was a colossal energy. The girl's body seemed to be unable to withstand all of her mana, so it had begun to leak outwards. The world trembled uncontrollably; space was deformed due to the tremendous amount of mana that the girl was radiating. And again, the little girl let out a barely audible whisper:

"Liar's World".

But she wasn't the only one who uttered those words; Gardolak could also be heard releasing his own power at the same time:

"Liar's World".

After those words were heard, everyone present could see how the world had turned completely white for a few moments before changing to black. The world kept changing colors; it alternated between black and white. The walls of the place they were in could no longer be seen, nor could the ceiling. Everyone who was trapped within this strange, ever-changing phenomenon, who was trapped could feel how two colossal energies seemed to be fighting for control of the place. It was not long before the voice of that little girl could finally be heard:

"You're going to have to try harder if you want to surpass me," the girl said as she seemed to be increasing her energy.

"Little one, don't try to be a smartass or I'll have to teach you a lesson. I'm not sure how you did it, but you're definitely using something similar to my authority," he said as he increased his control of his own power.

The people who had been caught in the middle of these powers could tell that their bodies had started to burn from the excess energy in the area. Unfortunately, they couldn't use any kind of power since they were trapped in this place. All they could do was sense those gigantic energies and quickly burn up from the residual energy that was hitting them. The silver-haired girl had deployed a barrier around Naida and Keijo. That barrier was powerful enough to withstand the pressure that was being exerted by those two entities. On the contrary, the five invading individuals had started to burn without being able to do anything to stop it. Even Jalren, who had the strongest defensive powers, was slowly turning into ashes.

"Hey, wait a minute. You're just passing me by because I'm too far away," Gardolak said.

"And what do I care? You're the one who doesn't want to leave that library. It's not my fault that you thought you could defeat me using only a part of your power," the girl replied.

Gardolak could sense it. After a few minutes of fighting, he realized that he was being outmatched in terms of the amount of energy he had. His control over his authority was greater than that girl's, but unfortunately, he was far away, so he couldn't use his full power. And if he stopped using his authority, he would undoubtedly easily kill Aris. There was no way for him to resist the authority of 'Liar's World'. He had made a mistake; he completely underestimated that girl. He thought that he could easily overtake her. Realizing his mistake, he quickly thought of a way to remedy it.

"I know. How about we call it a draw?" Gardolak suggested.

"No," the girl replied.

"You should accept. If we continue to exercise our powers, there will be nothing left out there. Our energies will be like poison to all the inhabitants of your kingdom. Right now, all living beings nearby must be suffocating with our energy, since we both made our authorities clash, the transfer to another dimension was not completed. In short, we are still in our original dimension. The consequences for this world will be serious and we will attract a lot of attention if we continue doing this," Gardolak explained.

"I don't care. I already said that I would eliminate all the invaders. I can't let go of people who may come back in the future to try to take my life. It's stupid to let them go," declared the silver-haired, green-eyed girl. Once she finished speaking, she increased the energy that was coming out of her body even more. After said energy increased, small cracks could be seen starting to spread throughout the little girl's body. It was more than clear that she had already reached her limit several times.

"It seems like it's only a matter of time before you die. You've overextended yourself; you have more energy than you can control," the voice said.

"It doesn't matter if I turn into ashes from the excess energy; those invaders will die no matter what," he said as he continued to increase the energy. Cracks could be seen spreading rapidly; they covered his legs, arms, and parts of his face. His entire body seemed to be breaking apart.

"I'm sorry, Aris. I know you came to rescue me, but it seems I won't be able to help you. I made a small miscalculation. The story would have been different if I had moved with my real body," Gardolak was apologizing to his friend, as he knew he couldn't save him. He was in a bad situation and couldn't use all his power. All he could do was say goodbye to his friend.

"Don't worry, it will only be a matter of time before we meet again," Aris declared. Those were his last words.

After those last words that Aris had uttered, the silver-haired, green-eyed girl drastically increased her energy. Her body turned into something that seemed to be a kind of statue, and at the same time the world they were in had finally acquired a completely white color. In an instant, the fragment of Gardolak was attacked and suppressed by the authority of the 'Liar's World', making it return to its place of origin. At the same time that this happened, the five figures were completely turned into ashes by the residual energy that had been scattered throughout space. Jalren, Mostrug, Igroxith, Brozgathan and Aris were successfully eliminated by that extraordinary power. The only ones who had survived this entire catastrophe were Naida and Keijo, who after a few seconds had returned to the real world. The barrier that had protected them had disappeared, and the barrier that had been created by their mistress was also gone. The mansion they had been in could no longer be seen anywhere. All that was left around them was a wasteland filled with dirt. Destruction could be seen everywhere; the atmosphere was hot and the mana in the atmosphere had increased very radically. Without a doubt, the entire area had become an uninhabitable place. If they stayed in this place, they would be poisoned by the excess mana.
