Year 2056: The near wind of mankind
The years 2056 nearly marked the end of humanity — or so it seemed
The planet's magnetic field destabilized. Within half a year the ozone layer crumbled. Leaving the Earth defenseless against the Sun's relentless ultraviolet assault, fire rained down from the heavens.
The skies burned, the oceans boiled, and the land itself cracked under the Sun's fury. The lands vegetation withered, animals parished, and those who survived were left scarred and dying.
Civilization crumbled as the very planet was now fighting againt them. Chaos erupted. Cities became ruins, remnants of a once great civilization, now like those of past they were relics. The world governments crumbled. The planet had become a battle field and nature was winning.
But humanity was not quite ready to die out.
In the midst of desperation the world's brilliant minds stepped into the realm of impossibility ,the realm of the gods. Giving humanity the power to control that of which belonged to nature. They devised a solution— the MFS Pillars: Magnetic Force Stabalizing Pillars. The monoliths of impossible engineering,Three towering structures that generated artificial magnetic fields, shielding the remnants of civilization from the Sun's wrath .
Encased in these protective domes, humanity clung to survival, barely holding on. Once more humanity thrived. They had worn the battle against nature but sadly the war wasn't over . The Unburnt emerged.
Those who had survived life outside the MFS domes, those who should have been burnt, but didn't. At first, they were miracles ,hope that life beyond the domes was possible. But the hopes of making were quickly taken from them, withered into nightmares, endless horror.
The survivors had changed, their flash hardened and charred. Twisted into grotesque figures, their minds gones, No conscious, their humanity gone replaced by an endless hunger for human flesh.
They called them the unburnt human and animal alike, mutated into ruthless predators, driven by primal instict, devouring all that dared to live.
Once again Humanity stood at the brink of extinction.
But then, something changed.
The last of humanity began to evolve. It was as if the universe itself refused to let then die without a fight. Deep within their DNA the will to fightburned bright, unlocking secrets that lay within. Gifting humanity with the abilities to fight back, some gained inhuman speed, superhuman strength, others heightened senses and some gained abilities that defied logic.
At first they feared what they had become, but quickly came to realise that this was no curse but a blessing, a blessing they call The Gene Flow. For the first time since the fall humanity had been gifted a weapon.
And that is when the war for survival began. With this found weapon came the Ranger Corps, the spearheads of humanity's fight for survival. Armed with the power of Gene Flow, they carried mankind's last hope I to the new world standing as the final line between Survival and extinction
