"Didi!"
Xilu: Combat Power 350 Million (First Level)
After nearly being turned into a carrot and eaten by Ultimate Cell, Dr. Gero developed a psychological aversion to creating artificial lifeform androids. Instead, he shifted his focus entirely to mechanical androids.
It didn't take long before Dr. Gero completed Android 16, modeled after his deceased eldest son, and Android 19, based on his only close friend from his student days—a short, chubby man.
Of course, in this timeline where Renkai had intervened in the story, the two newly developed mechanical androids originally had different names. But at Renkai's suggestion, Dr. Gero decided to name them the same as in the original storyline.
Android 16 was equipped with an eternal energy core and had a combat power of 800 million.
Android 19 was fitted with an energy absorption device and had an initial combat power of 90 million.
After observing them for some time, Dr. Gero realized that despite Android 16's immense power, he was a pacifist. Silent and contemplative, Android 16 only seemed happy when surrounded by nature.
On the other hand, Android 19, despite being weaker, was a competent research assistant. He was polite toward Dr. Gero but often engaged in negotiations regarding his work. Even Dr. Gero had to compromise on occasion.
Still, Android 19 was the most obedient artificial human Dr. Gero had ever created.
If Renkai had not intervened, Dr. Gero would have sealed Android 16 and simply continued using Android 19.
However, knowing that Renkai possessed the power to switch bodies, Dr. Gero had considered having him swap Android 16 and Android 19's cores with obedient clones of his Kalamis.
But Renkai shook his head.
"Sorry, Dr. Gero. Mechanical androids are immune to my body-swapping ability. But you don't need to worry. Android 19 might be questionable, but you can absolutely trust Android 16.
As long as you treat him well, he won't abandon you in times of crisis."
This was Renkai's advice.
The Android 16 in the original story was a nature-loving, peace-seeking machine who despised violence. But when the situation demanded, he was a reliable ally.
Dr. Gero had always trusted Renkai's judgment. So, in the end, he didn't seal Android 16.
Although Android 19 was stubborn, Dr. Gero's personal safety was assured as long as Android 16 was around.
And even if something went wrong...
How could Dr. Gero forget?
Renkai was a Divine Dragon.
If worst came to worst, he could simply bring Dr. Gero back to life with ease.
The Birth of a New Generation
With Renkai in the world, life became peaceful.
And amidst that peace, he and Bulma had children—a pair of twins.
Renkai Sam (Elder Sister) Renaki Tom (Younger Brother)
Since Shenron's unique lineage could not be passed down, Renkai had chosen to inherit the strongest available Saiyan hybrid genes.
Among all the bloodlines in the Dragon Ball universe, none surpassed that of a Saiyan-Human hybrid.
(Okay, maybe some did—but Renkai had no interest in fathering alien-looking children.)
Thus, just like Goku and Chi-Chi's son, his twins were born with monkey tails, appearing no different from ordinary humans.
Interestingly, Son Goku and Chi-Chi's child was born after Renkai's twins.
As a result, little Son Gohan called Renkai Sam and Renkai Tom his elder sister and brother.
From an early age, the three children played together, forming a close bond.
The Arrival of Raditz
Age 761.
On a bright, cloudless day, a small spaceship resembling a metallic sphere shot through Earth's atmosphere like a meteorite.
With a deafening crash, it smashed into the ground, leaving a large crater in its wake. Dust and debris filled the air.
Nearby, a farmer was startled by the sudden impact.
Alarmed, he grabbed a shotgun and cautiously approached the smoking wreckage.
As he drew closer, he discovered the strange metal sphere.
"Could this be... a meteorite?" he wondered aloud.
Just then—
The spaceship's hatch opened.
A tall man stepped out, clad in armor-like battle gear, his wild black hair flowing behind him. A monkey tail wrapped around his waist, and a cruel smirk twisted his lips.
The farmer froze.
"...Who are you?" he stammered, raising his shotgun. "And why the hell did you come out of that thing?!"
The Saiyan warrior, Raditz, didn't even acknowledge him.
Instead, he muttered to himself:
"So... this is the planet Kakarot was sent to as a child? Not a bad environment... should fetch a decent price."
Then, at last, he turned his attention to the farmer—who was still pointing a gun at him.
Raditz frowned.
"Kakarot... what the hell are you doing?" he muttered. "Why haven't you wiped out the natives yet?"
Confused, the farmer had no idea what Raditz was talking about.
Meanwhile, Raditz raised his hand and pressed a button on the scouter over his eye.
The combat power detector scanned the farmer's energy level.
"Didi!"
Earthling Native: Combat Power 5.
Raditz clicked his tongue in disgust.
"Tch. And here I thought Kakarot was strong. But this is what I find?
Scum with a combat power of five? How pathetic!
Has Kakarot been sleeping all these years instead of wiping out these weaklings?!"
Raditz shook his head in disappointment.
At that moment, the farmer—who was still being ignored—grew irritated.
"If you won't answer, I'm gonna shoot!"
Bang!
A gunshot echoed across the field.
The bullet zipped straight at Raditz—only for him to casually catch it between his fingers.
The farmer's eyes widened in horror.
"...A monster..." he whispered.
Raditz smirked.
"A weakling like you... dares to challenge me?"
With a flick of his wrist, he crushed the bullet into dust.
Then, without a second thought, he raised a hand and fired a ki blast.
The farmer barely had time to scream.
BOOM!
Where he once stood, only a smoking crater remained.
Raditz snorted in contempt.
"Pathetic," he muttered.
"Now... let's see where Kakarot is."
He tapped his scouter once more.
"Didi!"
The device rapidly scanned for the highest combat power on the planet.
Suddenly—
BOOM!
Raditz's scouter exploded.
"...What the hell?!"
His face twisted in shock.
The old-model scouters used by Frieza's forces could only measure up to a maximum of 20,000 combat power before breaking.
And yet...
Somewhere on this planet, a power level exceeding 20,000 had just been detected!
"Impossible...! Who the hell is this?!"
Raditz's eyes darkened.
The invasion of Earth... had just become far more complicated than expected.
