Chapter 1 - The Rebirth

---

The Realm of Murim was a place where the heavens kissed the earth, where the air itself seemed to hum with the energy of countless cultivators striving for immortality. It was a world of endless possibilities, where the weak were trampled underfoot and the strong ascended to godhood. But even in such a world, there were secrets buried deeper than the roots of the oldest mountains—secrets that could shake the very foundations of existence.

---

Feng Yusheng opened his eyes to a world that was both familiar and alien. The last thing he remembered was the cold steel of a laboratory table, the hum of machines, and the faint scent of antiseptic. He had been a scientist in a world of logic and reason, where the mysteries of the universe were unraveled through equations and experiments. But now, he was here—in a world where the laws of physics bent to the will of those who dared to defy them.

He sat up, his body feeling strangely light yet powerful. His hands, once calloused from years of handling delicate instruments, were now smooth and unblemished. He looked around and found himself in a lavish room adorned with silk tapestries and jade ornaments. The air was thick with the scent of incense, and the faint sound of a guqin being played echoed in the distance.

"So, this is the Realm of Murim," he murmured, his voice calm but laced with a quiet pride. "A world of cultivation and martial arts… How fascinating."

As he rose to his feet, memories of his past life flooded his mind. He had been a man of science, a prodigy in his field, but his thirst for knowledge had led him to experiment with forbidden technologies. His death had been swift, but his rebirth… this was something entirely unexpected.

"Feng Yusheng," a voice called from outside the room. It was deep and commanding, yet carried a hint of warmth. "The family council awaits your presence."

Feng Yusheng straightened his robes, his expression calm and composed. He was the eldest son of the Feng family, one of the major clans in the Realm of Murim. His new life came with responsibilities, but it also came with opportunities. Opportunities to explore this world, to master its mysteries, and perhaps, to uncover the truth behind his reincarnation.

Meanwhile, in another part of the Feng estate, Feng Lingxi was causing quite the stir. She stood in the middle of the training grounds, her arms crossed and a defiant smirk on her face. A group of disciples surrounded her, their expressions a mix of awe and annoyance.

"Is that all you've got?" she taunted, her voice dripping with mockery. "I thought the Feng family was supposed to be one of the strongest in the realm. Or are you all just here to look pretty?"

One of the disciples, a burly young man with a fiery temper, stepped forward. "You dare disrespect us, Lingxi? You may be the eldest daughter, but that doesn't give you the right to—"

Before he could finish, Feng Lingxi moved. Her movements were swift and precise, a blur of motion that left the disciples stumbling back in shock. In an instant, she had disarmed the young man and pinned him to the ground with a single hand.

"Disrespect?" she said, her tone icy. "I'll show you disrespect if you ever look down on me again. Remember this—I may be kind, but I won't tolerate arrogance from anyone, especially not from someone who can't even hold their own in a fight."

The disciples exchanged uneasy glances, but none dared to challenge her further. Feng Lingxi straightened, brushing a strand of hair from her face. She had been reincarnated into this world just like her half-brother, Feng Yusheng, but unlike him, she had no intention of playing by the rules. This was her second chance at life, and she was going to make the most of it.

As the sun set over the Realm of Murim, casting long shadows across the land, a figure watched from the shadows, smiled to himself as he observed the Feng siblings from afar. His plans were already in motion, and soon, the entire realm would be caught in his web of deceit.

"Let them play their little games," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "In the end, they will all bow before me—the future God of All Realms"
