A modest apartment. The walls are white, the furniture simple yet neatly arranged. The sound of running water echoes continuously from the small bathroom. Steam rises, fogging up the mirror above the sink. Veil (internal thoughts): Nothing beats a good shower after a long day... He turns off the water. The warmth of the room contrasts with the cold air seeping under the door. Veil pulls back the shower curtain, reaching for the towel hanging to the side, but it slips to the floor. Veil (sighs): "Of course... Figures..." He steps one foot out of the bathtub, still wet, and places it on the smooth floor. The sole of his foot slides. His balance breaks. Veil (grimacing): "No, no, no!" He flails his arms in an attempt to steady himself, but he loses control. His head hits the edge of the sink with a loud thud.
