In the beginning—the true beginning—there was only a void, an infinite, boundless expanse of nothingness stretching out across what would later be known as reality.
There were no concepts, matter, energy, nor time – The void was a state of perfect equilibrium, where the laws of physics were but suggestions, and the fabric of reality yet to be woven.
In the depths of this eternal expanse of nothingness, a flicker of consciousness emerged. This spark, or perhaps thought, ignited a transformation that reshaped the very fabric of the void bringing about reality or existence as we've come to know of.
The Boundless Void, once a homogeneous sea of nothingness, began to take form, as the consciousness drifted across the newly formed reality.
As the consciousness drifted alone in reality, the void surrounding it pulsed and trembled, occasionally given rise to universes and those universes eventually burning out as they reached their heat death—all of this happening in a mere moment to the consciousness..
As time passed in this newly formed reality, the consciousness began to take form moulding a body made up of the energy of the void, soon a humanoid figure floated in the void, the figure opened its eyes which glowed with an ethereal intensity.
Gazing at the void it muttered, "Hmm", as the word echoed across the infinite expanse, carrying with it a resonance akin to a law.
With this declaration, a large transcendent orb of swirling energy coalesced in the void, the being gazed at the orb, with a thought split it into two primal forces, each governing a primary concept of reality.
One force the being named Primal Chaos, embodied the very concept of chaos and randomness, a dark swirl of energy that swallowed light with am intense hunger. The other the being named, Primal Order, and embodiment of the concept of order and harmony, a bright swirl of energy that vanquished darkness.
These twin forces, born from the beings self-awareness, came to be known as the first children of the void.
Gazing at it's creation the being muttered "Merge" as Primal Chaos and Order, began to fuse, their existence now symbolized by the ancient Yin-Yang symbol burning brightly through the void, an eternal cyclical circle.
As the two primals revolved around each other, their interaction spun and wove the fabric of reality, a boundless expanse of time, space, and endless possibilities.
With the birth of Primal Chaos and Order, the being that had ignited The Boundless Voids transformation watched as universes began to take form as big bangs happened simultaneously across the infinite expanse of reality, with some of the newly created universes creating different variations of themselves, a multiverse centered around them, each a story to be told.
With a thought the remnants of the old universes created before the twin primals gathered in the beings palms, as it merged them together in to a floating disc shaped realm that expanded infinitely looking at his new creation, the being smiled, as it vanished into the merged form of Primal Chaos and Order.
Relinquishing control to the twin forces, and thus began the grand symphony of existence, as Primal Chaos and Order orchestrated the ever-unfolding expanse known as reality.
Much like the being had before them, Primal Chaos and Order brought forth a multitude of other entities, that later came to be known as Elder gods. These entities were tasked with overseeing the vast expanse of reality, each wielding dominion over a distinct domain.
The Elder gods were the second generation of children born from the voids infinite energy. As such, they possessed the ability to tap into a minute portion of the energy that had shaped the Void. With this power, they could create universes and multiverses alike, each of them a different story.
And just like there is creation there must be destruction, from the two primal forces another entity came into existence, this entity a massive malevolent behemoth the size of a universe, its form a deviant from the very laws of existence, as it existed as much as it didn't exist, it's presence a paradox.
Gazing at the endless expanse of reality, this entity felt a primal urge from within its very self, a never ending hunger to be satiated by consuming universes, as it began crawling towards a universe floating in the void, it's form enveloping the universe as it devoured it.
As the entity devoured the universe it's form glowed and expanded, the Elder gods each in their respective domain, sensed the unusual activity converged around the enigmatic presence.
The Elder gods watched in silence, as the universe was slowly consumed—its stars, planets, and civilizations erased from existence. The area where the universe once stood was now a desolate, empty void, their collective gaze now on the emptiness left by the universe's demise.
"Intriguing," one of the Elder gods muttered, its form that of an old man and a young lad standing side by side.
Another Elder god, it's form a glitching specter of pixels flickering across a digitally static frame with a crown of fractured code hovering above it's brow, however was less thrilled.
"What's so intriguing about that, vile creature?" it spoke, gazing at the entity, "You dare trespass on the domain of an Elder god? I'll do reality a favor and erase you."
As it spoke, a colossal void emerged from the darkness, spewing forth an endless torrent of black fire. The Elder god's face remained impassive as it gazed down at the entity.
"303, perhaps next time examine the energy signature before acting," The Elder god in the form of Old man and young lad said, the Elder gods gaze narrowed. "It has an identical energy signature to us."
As the black fire dissipated, the entity stood there unscathed.
"Do not tell me what to do, Old Grey" 303 said, its attention still fixed on the entity. A low, ominous chuckle echoed through the Void. "Fine," 303 said, its voice filled with ancient power.
A snap resonated through the void, and the portion of existence where the entity stood began to erase itself, slowly unraveling like a fabric being pulled apart by an invisible hand, moments later the fabric contorted as the entity was nowhere to be seen.
"That ought to do it," 303 said, its tone a hint of satisfaction.
Old Grey's gaze shifted to 303. "Wasn't that an experimental universe of yours?" it asked, its voice a hint of amusement.
303's expression remained impassive. "Yes, and...?"
Old Grey's eyes glinted with knowing. "Why the righteous bravado, then?"
Before 303 could respond, reality sparked back into existence, restoring the area around the entity. The being continued its rampage, unfazed by the brief interruption.
"Truly intriguing," another of the Elder god spoke up, its voice like a gentle breeze through the void. "This entity is unlike anything I've seen."
In that moment a large gleaming scythe materialized in the Void, its blade slicing through the darkness with a soft, ethereal whisper. The scythe bore into the entity, cleaving a portion of its being apart from the rest. The severed fragment hung suspended, an incandescent mist.
The Elder gods turned as one, their gazes converging on the scythe's wielder. A low, chuckle echoed through the void, the sound like thunder on a distant horizon.
"What? Can't let 303 have all the fun now, can I?" the scythe's wielder said. Gazing at the fragment an unseen force grasped the severed fragment, drawing it towards the Elder god with a pull.
The entity, meanwhile, regenerated at an insane speed, its form blurring and shifting as it reconstructed itself. With each step it took, the entity devoured universes, ending their existence.
As the Elder gods observed the shimmering mist, a voice like a gentle breeze spoke up, "Truly fascinating."
The assembly fell silent for a moment, another Elder god its form a golden Codex inscribed with knowledge of all the known and unknowns muttered, "Null." as it's pages glowed.
To which 303 nodded in agreement. "A befitting name for such a creature."
Without warning, one of the Elder gods, its form a brilliant, glowing light, closed the distance to Null in an instant. With a swift, precise motion, it severed another portion of Null's being.
The Elder god retrieved the severed fragment and withdrew, its light fading. As if on cue, the assembly of Elder gods dispersed, vanishing into the vast expanse of the void.
Unperturbed by the interruption, Null continued its relentless rampage through reality, leaving a trail of desolation in its wake.
Approaching a universe of unprecedented scale, twice the size a universe would normally be, its form surged with anticipation.
However, its attempt to engulf the universe was met with unexpected resistance. A helix shaped diamond-bright barrier materialized before it, blocking its path and preventing it from consuming the universe.
Undeterred, a droplet of Null's essence detached from its main body, taking on a humanoid figure with a face reminiscent of a shattered mirror, and like its parent entity, existed in a state of paradoxical duality.
This Sentinel tried breaching, the universe causing the shield to glow with the intensity of a thousand neutron stars, the Sentinel shrieked loudly before it's essence was burnt away.
Another droplet of Null's essence detached from its main body, now possessing the knowledge gained from its counterpart's experience. The second Sentinel chose a more indirect approach, pressing a finger onto the barrier and channeling its energy into a runic pattern. Spiderweb-like cracks, roughly the size of a planet, began forming on the shield, spreading outward and glowing neon-red before shattering, revealing a gaping hole. The Sentinel slipped into the universe, accompanied by a troop of Sentinels.
Moments later, the barrier dissipated, and Nulls form enveloped the universe consuming all that was in it, unperturbed by the brief interlude.
Learning from it's encounter Null created more of its Sentinels, spreading them out like spores across reality to breach and subjugate universes for it to claim.
"The Entity seems to be evolving," a voice remarked, as a brilliant, glowing light observed Null from a distance.
A tear appeared in the fabric of reality, and an Elder god stepped through the rift, it's form a massive golden Codex.
"Any new information on the entity?" the radiant light asked.
The Elder gods response was concise, "None, Infinity."
Infinity's luminous form pulsed, "Aren't you supposed to know everything, both the known and unknown?" it asked, its voice like a gentle wind.
With a hint of subtle humor, The Elder god responded "Aren't you too?"
To which Infinity replied "The knowns I do know off, but Null is an unknown as much as reality is concerned, that's where you come in Known and Unknown."
"Hmm perhaps, any particular reason why you're interested in this entity?" KAU questioned.
"To understand it of course, that and utter boredom" Infinity replied, a chuckle like the echo of wind chimes reverberating in the void.
"Well I'll leave you to your observations" KAU said as the space around it folded, returning to tranquility moments later, leaving only Infinity floating in the void as it observed Null.
