Yet, the crown jewel of Damsel was the King's palace, an architectural marvel of rose-gold marble, so vast that traversing its entirety would take a lifetime. Every chamber was grander than the last, radiating a celestial energy so intense that no mere human could withstand it.
But how did this magnificent world come into existence?
The Two Rival Kingdoms
Before Damsel, two kingdoms stood in contrast—Buolengia and Mosgario—two realms bound by an ancient rivalry.
Buolengia, the kingdom of eternal beauty and peace, flourished under the divine blessing of Queen Veliean, a goddess in her own right. The gods had granted her people ageless grace, with their beauty increasing each time they used their powers for good. Veliean herself was the embodiment of divinity, her turquoise-blue eyes hypnotic, golden-brown hair flowing like molten gold, and lips of soft peach. Her presence exuded an aura of pure serenity, her kindness and loyalty making her a revered ruler. She was known as the Goddess of Positivity.
On the other hand, Mosgario was a kingdom cursed by darkness. Enshrouded in shadows, it was a place where negative forces thrived. Its ruler, King Blaze, was feared even by the most formidable creatures. His coral-green eyes could pierce souls, and his towering physique, veiled in shadows, exuded power so overwhelming that the bravest of warriors would tremble before him. He was a beast in human form—terrifying yet strangely compelling. Despite his monstrous strength, he ruled his kingdom with a fierce sense of justice and loyalty. He was known as the God of Negativity.
A strict decree had kept these two realms apart for centuries: no being from either kingdom was to set foot in the enchanted forest that divided them. It was the one rule that could never be broken.
Until one fateful night under the silver glow of the moon, Queen Veliean wandered her kingdom, unable to find rest. The wind carried a gentle hum, the sky twinkled in silent harmony—until a strange, unnatural glow flickered in the distance. A deep crimson light.
Her heart pounded. That glow… it could mean only one thing. A creature from Buolengia had crossed paths with one from Mosgario.
Dread filled her chest as she soared towards the forbidden forest. The moment she arrived, her breath hitched—a child from Buolengia was trapped in a cage of hellfire, surrounded by demons.
Veliean's pulse quickened. Fury ignited in her veins. No one harmed her people.
Without hesitation, she unleashed her celestial energy, striking down the devils. The forest erupted into chaos. The clash of light and darkness shattered the night. The air was thick with flames, the cries of battle deafening.
Then, a force unlike any other descended upon them.
King Blaze.
His presence alone sent tremors through the battlefield. His blood-red eyes burned with rage, his mere glare disintegrating anything in his path. He was a walking catastrophe, and he had lost control.
With a flick of his wrist, entire legions fell—until his gaze locked onto her.
Veliean turned, ready to strike—only to freeze.

The crimson light exploded—a cataclysmic force so powerful that it erased both kingdoms from existence.
As Veliean and Blaze stood amidst the ashes of their fallen realms, the heavens split open. A golden light descended, and from it emerged Miraculas—the Supreme God.
His presence was suffocating, his voice thunderous. "You have broken the ancient law. Because of your recklessness, both your kingdoms have been destroyed."
Veliean and Blaze fell to their knees, helpless.
Miraculas' eyes burned with divine fury. "For your crime, I curse you both—your powers shall be stripped, your very essence merged into one. You will be tormented by the energy of your opposite—Veliean, you will bear the burden of darkness. Blaze, you will be consumed by unbearable light. And in a decade, this agony will claim your lives."
Veliean's hands trembled. Blaze's heart pounded. They had already lost everything—now, they were condemned to die.
Desperation gripped them. They begged for mercy, pleaded for a chance to atone.
Miraculas was unmoved. Then, after a long silence, his divine gaze softened.
"The curse cannot be undone."
Veliean choked back a sob. Blaze clenched his fists.
"But… I will offer you one chance. A new fate."
Hope flickered in their broken souls.
