Lin Mao took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. Alright, let's not be too harsh, he thought. It's just the first story. Maybe I was too quick to judge.
He went to the wall, picked up the book, and sat back down at the table. He opened it again, only to realize it was upside down.
Of course, he muttered to himself, flipping it around.
As he adjusted the book, his eyes fell on a section labeled as Table of Contents.
He quickly flipped to the page and scanned the list. As his gaze explored the content, his expression shifted from curiosity to shock.
Holy God, Jesus...

"What the fuck...I underestimated the degeneracy of these so-called scholars."
He reread the titles in disbelief. "This stuff has everything—adultery, taboo, cheating... and..."
"Incest too?"
He leaned back and laughed a bit louder. "No wonder they treat this thing like sacred scripture. It's the only entertainment they have got!"
Lin Mao tapped the page with two fingers. "Well, let's see just how degenerate this thing gets," he said with a grin.
Just then, a knock interrupted his thoughts.
"Brother Lin, it's me, Junior Chu Ha," a soft, melodic voice called from outside the room.
Lin Mao froze. Chu Ha? His eyes darted to the sacred text of degeneracy in his hand.
"Oh, hell no!" he whispered as he frantically shoved the book beneath a pile of random papers on the floor. He dusted his hands like it would erase any evidence of sin.
He took a deep breath, composing himself, and quickly stepped out of the study.
"Come in."
The door slid open.
Lin Mao's mouth dropped.
An angel.
There she stood, draped in a flowing snow-white robe that seemed to have been crafted from moonlight itself. Her long, silky white hair cascaded down her shoulders like a river of purity, perfectly complementing her attire.
Her big, dark eyes sparkled with innocence, and her face... flawless, like carved jade.
"Jade beauty," he whispered.
He shook his head wildly, snapping himself out of his dreams. God, please don't let this be like one of those stories where she is somehow, magically Lin Mao's sister.
The girl immediately ran toward him and grabbed his arms eagerly.
"Brother Lin! Did you miss me?" she asked, her voice sweet as honey.
Lin Mao felt his brain short-circuit. The sudden act of intimacy caught him so off guard that he couldn't form any thought. Her soft touch, her radiant smile—he wasn't ready for any of this.
Too much female interaction in a single day…
His cheeks flushed as he glanced away, desperately trying to appear composed.
"I—uh… Of course," he mumbled, stumbling over his words. Why am I blushing? Stop blushing! This is just normal human contact!
She tilted her head, a playful smile dancing on her lips as she pressed his hands innocently between her soft chest.
Lin Mao's breath stopped. His entire body tensed as a rush of heat flooded his face, turning it an even deeper shade of red. He felt his heartbeat race, and to his horror, another part of him responded instinctively to the sudden stimulation.
"You virgin ass motherf—calm the fuck down!" he cursed inwardly, fighting a losing battle against his own body.
This is just skin! Skin and warmth! Basic biology—there's no need to react like this.
But the warm, pillowy softness of her chest pressed against his hands said otherwise, mocking his inner talk. He clenched his jaw and swallowed hard.
"Brother Lin, are you feeling unwell?" Chu Ha asked, her eyes wide with concern, completely oblivious to the chaos erupting in his mind.
Lin Mao's lips twitched. "N-no, I'm fine. Totally fine," he lied, pulling his hands back with the delicacy of a man handling live explosives.
"For the love of Confucius, Sun Tzu, Epictits, Sexpair please, please let me survive this."
"Brother Lin, don't worry about the defeat," Chu Ha said, her voice soft and soothing. "One day, Sister Jin Lina will regret rejecting you."
Jin Lina? Defeat? Lin Mao mentally tried to connect the dots but was unsuccessful.
"Wait, Jin Lina... defeat?"
Chu Ha's eyes grew watery with worry. "Yes! Did something happen to you? You have been acting so weird today!"
Lin Mao scratched the back of his head. "Well... uh... how do I put this? I kinda... lost my memory?"
Chu Ha's mouth dropped open. "What? Lost your memories?!"
Before he could brace himself, she leaped forward, throwing her arms around him in a hug. Her head was buried dangerously close to his lower abdomen.
"Oh no. No, no, no! Danger! Too close!"
Lin Mao immediately straightened, his whole body locking in.
He froze like a statue as her arms tightened around him. He could feel her gentle breathing, brushing against his stomach, and a bead of sweat fell down his face.
"Why is my life suddenly a collection of impossible situations?! Someone, save me from this madness!"
