Waking up ,I expected to see my plain white room ceiling. Except I didn't.
I saw a clean wooden interior above me as I layed on my back. In the background ,I heard three people whispering vaguely.
I had no time to pay attention to what they were saying as a stream of new memories began flowing into my head.
Memories of another life in the world of Remnant. The life of Evan Cress played through my mind as I digested the memories.
He had the same first name as me ,but a different last name. Other than that he also had a very timid personality ,he was very similar to one of his friends in this new life.
Jaune Arc. That was a familiar name in more ways than one. I knew him as a close friend ,but I also knew him as a character in an anime I watched.
It was called RWBY if I recall correctly. It was a world filled with monsters known as Grimm and humans with special abilities known as hunters and huntresses.
They had fantastical powers known as Aura and Semblances along with their unique technologies made using a special compound unique to remnant known as Dust.
It was also a dangerous world where strong amounts of negative emotions can attract the Grimm. Leading to various attacks by Grimm almost daily.
When I took a deeper dive through my eighteen years of memories in this life ,I realized that I only had a semblance that slightly boosted my overall physical abilities and aura capacity by 50% of their base amount as long as it is active.
But due to the big all around improvement ,the drain on my aura is still very significant.
At the moment ,I can only last five minutes with my semblance active. I guess I should get up and start training.
Sitting up ,the three hushed voices turned into gasps before they started cheering. I was disoriented by the loud cheers for a moment before I regained my senses and looked over the three people next to my bed.
It was two guys and a girl huddled around one side of my bed. The girl had bunny ears ,which was normal in this world.
These types of people were known among humans as Faunus. Humanoids with animal features on their bodies somewhere.
Usually in the form of ears and tails. Other than that one of the boys was a wolf Faunus ,with the last boy being a regular human like me.
I recognized them from my memories as Evan Cress by the names ,Scarlet ,Riolus ,and Shane.
Scarlet being the bunny girl ,Riolus was the wolf boy ,and Shane was the other human boy.
"Good Morning?"
I greeted them in a confused tone as my most recent memories from Evan Cress are very blurry and hard to recall.
After a few explanations ,they told me the story that preluded my reincarnation into this new body.
Apparently ,after being accepted as a team leader of team CRESS.
They added the first letters of my first and last name as well as everyone else's first letter from their first name too for the name.
Since I was the leader ,the team was named after me too.
Anyway ,after being named the leader the day after completing the Beacon Academy entrance test. I competed in a mock duel with another team leader.
During the duel ,right as my aura ran out due to over consumption. The opponent took advantage of my moment of weakness to trip me and I hit my head on the floor with no protection.
It had been three days since then and I only woke up just now. They were starting to think I wouldn't wake up anymore.
Well that would have been true if I hadn't occupied this body. Now ,Evan Cress has been brought new life through me.
Suddenly ,a feeling of lightness flowed through my body as I felt a warm current fill my muscles and mind.
My physique became more compact and dense as my aura reserves expanded by at least twenty percent.
