In the previous chapters we see Baek yung was stabbed by the oblivion which was capable of destroying even the fabric of existence but it seems he had survived, but no, only his essence got transferred into baek Yung's dead body,.. no memories, and no powers.
The gods are the Apex predators of Nirvana, the higher ups of the food chain,..... the dark creatures are what they considered as their food but when the dark gates suddenly formed, all their foods fled,and then after found out that they weren't able to go through the gates.
So the gods made energy containers (cores) capable of storing natural flowing energy and sent it to the beyond the gates..That was when the awakening began to occur for those who could harness the raw power all around them.a majority of the dark creature ran back into the gates (what was left of them) when the humans decided to wage a war against them.
