Chapter 80 - Chapter 80: The Siege Begins

The convoy of armored vehicles sped down the dark highway, their headlights slicing through the night. In the distance, Langston's fortified estate loomed like a fortress tall iron gates, security towers, and armed guards patrolling the perimeter.

Inside the lead vehicle, Isabella sat beside Alexander, gripping her weapon. This was it. No more running. No more waiting.

Damian's voice crackled through the comms. "We're five minutes out. I'm jamming their external comms now. They won't be able to call for backup."

Ethan's chuckle came through next. "Hope you all brought extra ammo. This is gonna get loud."

The first explosion lit up the night. BOOM.

One of the security towers collapsed as Claire's precision explosives did their work. Before the dust settled, the convoy pushed forward, ramming through the front gate.

Gunfire erupted. Langston's men were ready but so were they.

Isabella leaped from the vehicle, firing as she took cover behind a concrete barrier. Alexander was beside her, moving with lethal precision.

Ethan's crew spread out, engaging in brutal close-quarters combat. Damian, still in the van, hacked into the estate's security grid, shutting down motion sensors and scrambling surveillance feeds.

The battlefield was chaos.

But they had the momentum.

"Go! Move up!" Alexander shouted, signaling their team forward.

They stormed through the front courtyard, eliminating the remaining guards. The main mansion loomed ahead, its towering glass windows reflecting the fires raging around it.

Damian's voice came through the earpiece. "Isabella, you've got two minutes before Langston seals himself in the panic room. If he gets inside, we lose him."

Isabella bolted for the entrance. No way was she letting that happen.

Kicking open the doors, she and Alexander charged into the mansion's grand hall—marble floors, golden chandeliers, and the stench of power.

Langston's remaining enforcers were waiting.

The gunfight was brutal. Close quarters. Fast. Deadly.

Alexander tackled one of the guards, disarming him with a brutal twist. Isabella took out another, dodging behind a pillar as bullets tore through the walls.

Then, she saw him.

Langston.

At the top of the grand staircase, flanked by his last few bodyguards, he was already moving toward the underground bunker.

"He's getting away!" Isabella shouted.

Without hesitation, she sprinted forward. One shot. One chance.

She aimed—

And fired.

BANG.

Langston stumbled, clutching his shoulder, his blood splattering against the pristine white walls.

But he wasn't down yet.

With a glare of pure rage, he disappeared through a hidden door.

Isabella gritted her teeth. "We're not done yet."

She and Alexander rushed forward, descending into the depths of the estate.

The final confrontation was about to begin.
