Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The world spun violently, a whirlwind of neon lights and blaring car horns. When the dizziness finally subsided, she found herself standing in the middle of a sleek, modern penthouse apartment. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcased a glittering city skyline, and the minimalist decor screamed "billionaire bachelor pad." Considering that her apartment back home was not even half this size, she figured she was either kidnapped or had somehow time-traveled.

"What the hell?" she muttered, clutching her temples. The last thing she remembered was falling asleep after binge-reading that godforsaken novel, *A Journey Through Flowers*—a story that had absolutely nothing to do with the title. It was so ridiculously tragic and toxic that she'd thrown her phone across the room in frustration. And now… she was here. In the book. As the heroine.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me," she groaned, staring at her reflection in the glass wall. Long, flowing auburn hair, doe-like brown eyes, and a delicate frame that screamed "helpless damsel." Great. Just great. She was now *Anna Kelly*, the naive, kind-hearted heroine who spent the entire novel being tormented by everyone around her—her abusive fiancé, her jealous stepsister, and even the so-called "love interest," the CEO of Bloom Industries, who was more of a brooding tyrant than a romantic lead. And let's not forget the endless parade of stupid supporting characters. Sometimes, she wondered if the government in this world even functioned properly.

"Nope. Not happening," she declared, straightening her spine. If this was some kind of twisted transmigration scenario, she wasn't about to play by the rules. She had zero patience for toxic relationships, manipulative villains, or tragic plotlines. And she certainly wasn't going to let anyone walk all over her.

As if on cue, a mechanical voice echoed in her mind.

**[Host, congratulations on binding the Sign-In System, Version 009.]**

"Ah, so I do get a golden finger," she mused, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Figures. The protagonist always gets something like this in these stories. I'm just glad it's a sign-in system—less work for me." She couldn't help but smile at the thought. A sign-in system meant she could grow stronger without having to jump through too many hoops. Perfect for someone who had no intention of playing the victim.

She had always hated the idea of transmigrating into a novel and being forced to act like she loved the male protagonist for system rewards or similar nonsense. The thought of it infuriated her, especially when the male lead was a scumbag. Thankfully, this system seemed different.

**[Hello, Host. 009 at your service.]**

"Ah yes, I almost forgot about you," Anna said, crossing her arms. "Hello, 009. Can you introduce yourself to me?"

**[Of course, Host. I am a sign-in system dedicated to serving you. You only need to visit specific locations provided by the system to sign in and complete tasks. In return, you will receive generous rewards.]**

"What kind of rewards are we talking about?" Anna asked, her curiosity piqued.

**[The rewards vary depending on the task and your performance. They can range from wealth and skills to unique items and abilities. The better you perform, the greater the rewards.]**

Anna raised an eyebrow. "Is there a penalty for failing to sign in within the time limit?"

**[There is no penalty for failing to complete a task, Host. However, if you miss a sign-in, you will be unable to sign in again for the next 72 hours.]**

"Well, that's not too bad," Anna said with a shrug. "It's not like I'd want to miss out on free rewards anyway." She chuckled to herself, already feeling a sense of amusement at the thought of how easy this system seemed.

"Alright, 009," she said, clapping her hands together. "Let's get started. Where's my first sign-in location?"
