Synopsis
Synopsis – The Hype War: When the Entertainment Industry Forgets to Entertain Once upon a time (or maybe it wasn’t, because this doesn’t even really sound like a story) there was a world dominated by two gaming companies that competed for something much more valuable than the players’ enjoyment: their money. On one side, Cruel Territories, a studio whose name says it all. Their games were brutal, realistic, and required the player to buy a Season Pass to unlock the option to pause the game. On the other, Lekox, who believed that if a story didn’t leave you confused enough to doubt your own sanity, then it wasn’t even worth playing.

Lexstar Superhero RPG – The game that makes you feel powerful… until the first bug

120,000 copies sold in the first month. That means that 120,000 people, confident, invested their hard-earned US$ 59.99 to finally get a taste of being a superhero… until the moment when the character got stuck in the texture of the floor and had to restart the game.

With a score of 8.2/10, Lexstar established itself as a solid title, proving that, despite the initial bugs, players have an absurd tolerance for technical problems. After all, who has never paid a lot of money to become a superhero who flies due to a collision error?

In the first 6 months, 450,000 copies were sold, generating US$ 26,995,500 in revenue. That means that Lekox made so much money that, if it wanted to, it could hire famous voice actors for the next game… or simply invest it all in dubious NFTs.

Among the strong points, we have impressive graphics and an engaging story. Among the weak points, we have the slow progression and technical bugs — which may or may not include a glitch where the protagonist decides that the best way to save the world is to spin infinitely in the air while screaming.

With 88% positive reviews on Steam, it is clear that the gaming community has seen much worse and decided to embrace chaos. After all, after Cyberpunk 2077, any game that works 60% of the time is already considered a masterpiece.

In the future, Lekox promises updates and DLC, because, of course, there is nothing like paying more to fix a game that already cost a small fortune. And for those who liked the title, good news: the company's next project is an open world of exploration and narrative. In other words, another giant map full of icons that you will never have the patience to complete.

Congratulations, Lekox, you did it! Now all that's left to do is wait for the Netflix series based on the game... which will be canceled after the first season.
