Chapter 18: The Shadows Deepen
Niva's Perspective
Niva was finally discharged from the hospital, though her heart remained heavy with grief. She returned to the mansion, where Brian, Victor, and Emma did their best to support her. But just as she began to feel a sliver of hope, tragedy struck again.
It was a dreary morning when she received the news. Her father had died suddenly, leaving her feeling more alone than ever. Brian tried to comfort her, but the pain was too raw, too overwhelming.
Brian: "I'm here for you, Niva. We all are."
Niva: "I know, Brian. But it feels like everything is falling apart."
Brian's Perspective

Victor's heart pounded as he listened to Brian. He glanced at Emma, who was still asleep, and gently shook her awake.

Emma's eyes widened in shock as she quickly got up and dressed. They rushed out, meeting Brian at his house.

After what felt like hours, the car stopped. She was dragged out and thrown into a cold, damp room. The blindfold was removed, and she found herself face-to-face with Catherine.
Catherine: "Hello, Niva. Remember me?"
Niva's eyes widened in recognition.
Niva: "Catherine? Why are you doing this?"
Catherine smirked, her eyes filled with malice.
Catherine: "You took everything from me, Niva. Brian should have been mine. Now, I'm going to make sure you pay."

Brian, Victor, and Emma searched tirelessly, using every resource at their disposal to find Niva. Days turned into a week with no leads, and the desperation grew. They finally received a tip that led them to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town.
Brian: "We have to be careful. Catherine's dangerous."
Victor nodded, his face set in grim determination.
Victor:** "Let's end this."
