Chapter 78 - Chapter 78: Trip

Ryo sat in his study, examining the sealed letter he had received from the academy. It was an official request for students to visit Eldoria on a cultural and diplomatic trip. The letter lacked specific details, so he decided to inquire further at the academy the next morning. Since he was responsible for supervising the student council members, it was his duty to ensure everything was in order.

The next morning, Ryo walked into the student council office. The room was already bustling with activity, stacks of documents piled on desks as the members discussed upcoming academy events. As soon as he entered, the council president, greeted him with a nod.

"Lord Ryo, you've received the request about the Eldoria trip, correct?" He asked.

Ryo nodded. "Yes, but there weren't many details. I assume you all know more?"

One of the council members, a girl with fox-like ears, spoke up. "Eldoria is neutral ground between the major nations—Vampires, Dragons, Elves, Demons, and Dwarves. It's a symbol of peace, a city where all races coexist. The academy organizes these trips for students to experience interspecies diplomacy firsthand."

Another member added, "Each carriage will have eight students. Since the council members are in charge of overall management, we'll need additional help ensuring the safety of everyone. That's why we wanted to ask you to keep an eye out for potential threats. We can't cover every student alone."

Ryo leaned back in his chair, arms crossed. "You suspect something could go wrong?"

Darius sighed. "It's not a certainty, but with so many different races traveling together, tensions could flare up. Plus, we don't know if any external threats will target the event. Given your strength, we'd feel more at ease if you kept watch."

Ryo considered the request for a moment before nodding. "Fine. I'll make sure nothing happens. Anything else I should know?"

The vice president handed him a document. "Here are the details—lodging, schedules, and activities planned for the trip. We depart in a week, so students have time to prepare. Each group will have members from different classes to encourage interaction."

Ryo skimmed through the document before standing up. "Got it. I'll prepare accordingly."

After leaving the student council office, Ryo returned to his class. The day passed uneventfully until an announcement was made.

"Attention, students. The trip to Eldoria is scheduled to take place in one week. Students will be divided into groups of eight per carriage. Those participating should finalize their groups soon."

As soon as the announcement ended, Selena, Seyra, and the others gathered around Ryo.

"So, who should be the last member of our group?" Selena asked curiously.

Seyra crossed her arms. "We have a strong lineup already, but another reliable member would be ideal."

Ryo sighed. "We'll figure it out soon. Let's not rush."

Later that evening, as they returned to Eldoria, a sudden gust of energy surged in front of them. A small figure materialized—a silver-scaled dragon no larger than a house cat.

"Nova?" Ryo blinked in surprise.

The infant dragon flapped his tiny wings excitedly.

Seyra chuckled. "It looks like he teleported here."

A thought crossed Ryo's mind. "Can he use teleportation in his base form too"???

The system answered immediately. [Nova possesses a unique bond with you, allowing him to teleport to your side anytime. You may also summon him via telepathy or summoning magic.]

Ryo glanced at Nova, who was rubbing against his leg. "So I can call you anytime?"

Nova chirped happily.

Selena smiled. "That's convenient. Nova will be useful for the trip."

With that settled, Ryo began preparations for the journey. He gathered supplies, ensured everyone had necessary travel gear, and coordinated with the academy for final logistics. The upcoming trip promised new experiences, but Ryo had a lingering feeling that something unexpected awaited them in Eldoria.
