Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: Hunters Guild

Ryo stood before the grand hall of the newly established Hunter's Guild. It had been constructed hastily, yet its structure was impressive—crafted with reinforced stone and enchanted wood, standing tall as a beacon of opportunity for adventurers and mercenaries alike. The guild emblem, a twin-headed dragon with crossed swords, shone proudly above the entrance.

As he stepped inside, a large crowd of aspiring hunters turned their attention to him. Veterans, rookies, and even some noble mercenaries had gathered, eager to hear what he had to say. At the center stood the guild master, a burly man with grizzled silver hair, exuding an aura of leadership.

"Welcome, Lord Ryo," the guild master greeted with a deep bow. "We appreciate your time and wisdom in guiding us."

Ryo nodded. "I may have experience, but a guild is only as strong as its members. The system we build here will determine its future."

He glanced around the hall and spoke clearly, his voice infused with authority. "First, let's define the role of the Hunter's Guild. Unlike a normal job, this one is primarily focused on eliminating threats—monsters, criminals, and rogue beings that disrupt balance. Missions will be ranked from F to SSS, with strict qualifications for each rank."

Murmurs spread across the room. Some were eager, others cautious.

"To ensure efficiency," Ryo continued, "hunters will be classified based on their abilities. Combat types, magical support, reconnaissance, and specialized trackers. You will not be sent blindly into missions—you will be assigned based on your strengths."

The guild master stroked his beard. "That's a more structured approach than I expected, but I can see its merit."

Ryo then gestured to a newly built board where mission postings would be displayed. "Each mission will have a clear threat level. Completing them will grant merit points, which determine promotions, rewards, and access to exclusive training and weapons."

A young hunter raised his hand. "Lord Ryo, what about rogue elements? If someone abuses the system or endangers a mission?"

Ryo's eyes gleamed. "Good question. The Hunter's Guild will have an internal disciplinary force—the Hunter Sentinels. They will oversee disputes, prevent corruption, and ensure missions are handled correctly. Any misconduct will lead to expulsion or worse, depending on the severity."

Tension filled the air, but many nodded in approval.

The guild master stepped forward. "Then we will enforce these regulations strictly. This will not be a place for reckless glory-seekers but true hunters of the land."

Ryo smirked. "That's the goal."

He turned to the recruits. "Lastly, the guild will have alliances with other factions—the Adventurer's Guild, Mercenary Associations, and even the Royal Court. This ensures proper funding, recognition, and large-scale cooperation in case of continent-wide threats."

As he finished speaking, applause erupted. The Hunter's Guild was not just another organization—it was a disciplined force that would shape the world's safety.

The guild master extended his hand. "With your guidance, this will become a force to be reckoned with. Thank you, Lord Ryo."

Ryo shook his hand firmly. "Make sure it does."

With his role fulfilled, Ryo took his leave. As he stepped outside, he exhaled, taking in the crisp air. The formation of the Hunter's Guild was only the beginning—there were many more responsibilities ahead.

He stretched his arms and sighed. "Now that's done… time for the real challenge."

From the next day onward, his academy classes were going to start.
