Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The Sealed Phase – Blood Manipulation

Ryo stood alone in the center of a barren wasteland. His body, battered from the previous training, still ached from the countless wounds he had suffered. But his mind was sharper, more focused, and he had no choice but to press on.

The system's voice echoed through his consciousness once more, chilling in its simplicity.

"Phase 3 begins. From phase 3 to phase 6, only one offensive ability may be used at a time. All other offensive abilities will be sealed. For this phase, use only Blood Manipulation."

Ryo's heart sank. Blood Manipulation was one of his most potent abilities, but it wasn't as versatile as the full range of powers he had at his disposal. Without his other elemental skills and enhanced attacks, it felt like he was being stripped of his greatest tools. The thought of going through another grueling phase with a single offensive ability was enough to make him question how he could possibly survive.

"What now?" Ryo asked aloud, his voice strained. "How am I supposed to deal with this?"

The system responded flatly, as if it knew exactly what Ryo was feeling. "Survive. Use your blood to its fullest potential."

"Great. Just great," Ryo muttered under his breath. His hands clenched into fists. If survival was the goal, then that's exactly what he'd do.

The ground trembled as another wave of monsters appeared, rising from the earth and the shadows. Their eyes burned with malice, and the air grew thick with the scent of blood and death. This time, Ryo's enemies were far more varied, each different from the last, and all of them extremely dangerous.

First up were the Shadow Wolves—creatures that were both fast and relentless. Normally, he could simply burn them with Fire Magic or manipulate the elements, but now he had only Blood Manipulation at his disposal. The wolves' sharp fangs and claws slashed at him, forcing him into a defensive position. He summoned a barrier of blood to protect himself, the red liquid forming an invisible shield around his body. It wasn't perfect, but it worked.

Ryo's Hemokinesis kicked in, and he used the blood of the wolves that he struck down to form sharp, spiked weapons. With precision, he threw the blood-spikes at the oncoming beasts, each spike impaling them with a sickening thud. The rest of the pack hesitated, but only for a moment before they charged again. Ryo's body was still sore from previous battles, but he pushed through, using every ounce of his Blood Manipulation to maintain the barrage. Eventually, the last wolf fell, but not without cost. Ryo had lost a limb during the fight, his arm almost completely severed by a wolf's brutal bite.

"Dammit," Ryo grunted, watching as his arm reattached itself with his Regeneration Boost ability. He had learned long ago not to dwell on the pain. He had no other choice.

As Ryo continued forward, the next wave of monsters appeared. Trolls, Orcs, and Ogres, each one towering over him with brutish strength. These creatures weren't as fast as the wolves, but their power was monstrous. The Trolls began lobbing rocks, their immense strength capable of crushing Ryo with a single strike. Ryo had no time to think—he had to adapt to the situation, and fast.

Using Blood Puppetry, Ryo manipulated the blood of a fallen Troll, forcing its massive form to move. He controlled the creature's limbs and sent it charging toward the other Trolls and Orcs, using its sheer size as a weapon. The attack was effective—at least for a moment—but Ryo was not invincible. The Orcs rushed in with their axes, and one of their strikes cleaved through Ryo's side. The pain was blinding, but his Infinite Regeneration kicked in, his body healing the injury almost instantly.

Ryo was relentless. He summoned blood blades from his body, extending them out like whips and lashing out at the Orcs and Ogres. He couldn't afford to hold back. Each swing of his Blood Weaponry severed limbs, and each swipe sent enemies flying. But the monsters were endless, and they just kept coming.

An Ogre grabbed Ryo by the neck, lifting him off the ground. Ryo gasped for air, his blood struggling to flow properly as his body was squeezed. But Ryo wasn't helpless. He used Blood Puppetry once more, forcing his own blood to flow with a vengeance. He focused on the Ogre's brain, manipulating its blood flow and causing it to collapse under its own weight. As it fell, Ryo stabbed his blood blades into its heart, ending the fight.

He was covered in blood—his own and that of his enemies—but he was still standing. Barely.

The next wave was a more disturbing one: Zombies and Vampires, their twisted forms shambling toward him with relentless hunger. The Zombies were weak, but there were hundreds of them, all with decayed, rotting flesh that made them difficult to take down quickly. Every swing of his blood weapons tore through the undead, but they didn't die easily. Each strike required more energy, and with his only offensive ability restricted, Ryo struggled to keep up with the oncoming horde.

Worse still were the Vampires. These were no mere monsters. Their bloodlines were ancient, and their strength was formidable. They moved with inhuman speed, dodging his blood weapons with ease and retaliating with ferocity. One Vampire slashed at Ryo's throat, leaving a deep gash. Ryo stumbled back, feeling the draining effect of the Vampire's bite. He had no time to react before another one lunged at him, but he quickly used his Blood Puppetry to force the blood from his own veins, sending it into the attacking Vampire, causing it to burst into flames from the inside out.

The Zombies, however, were easier to manage. He used Blood Manipulation to raise their bodies from the ground and send them crashing into each other, their rotting corpses piling up like a grotesque mountain. It wasn't a fast method, but it was effective.

As he fought, Ryo's body began to deteriorate. The constant use of Blood Manipulation drained him. His movements slowed, and his vision blurred. His body felt as though it was on the verge of collapse, but he couldn't afford to stop.

The final wave brought even more challenges—Magic Beasts, Boars, and the terrifying Berserk Beasts. The Magic Beasts had powerful elemental abilities, and the Boars were fast, with tusks that could pierce through anything. The Berserk Beasts were monstrous, their forms nearly as large as the Ogres, but with even greater speed and power.

Ryo was exhausted. His blood was almost depleted, his body torn to pieces, and his mind on the brink of madness. But he couldn't stop.

Using every ounce of his remaining strength, he manipulated his blood into the form of Blood Scale Armor, fortifying his body against the crushing blows of the Boars and the Berserk Beasts. His blood wrapped around him like a second skin, hardening into near-invulnerable armor. With every strike, he felt his strength wane, but he refused to yield.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the last of the Magic Beasts fell. The battlefield was silent, save for Ryo's ragged breathing. He could barely keep his eyes open.

The system's voice rang in his mind. "Phase 3 complete. You have endured and survived."

Ryo slumped to his knees, feeling the weight of his exhaustion. His body was barely holding together, and his blood reserves were dangerously low. But somehow, he had made it through.

"What now?" Ryo asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Rest. Phase 4 begins soon." The system responded coldly, as if the horrors he had just endured were nothing more than a stepping stone.

As Ryo collapsed to the ground, his body healing itself for the hundredth time, he couldn't help but wonder how much longer he could keep going.

Author's Note:

Hello, readers! Welcome to Chapter 29 of The Accidental Supreme: Limitless Regression and Endless Fiancées.

This chapter delves deep into Ryo's grueling training in Phase 3, where he's forced to rely solely on his Blood Manipulation abilities. The journey through this phase was meant to push him to his limits—not just physically, but mentally as well. The training here is meant to show just how far Ryo has to go before he can truly master his powers and understand his own strength.

The monster waves he faces are varied and challenging, from Shadow Wolves to Orcs, Zombies, and even Vampires—each bringing a unique threat. I wanted to emphasize how even the smallest mistake could lead to his downfall and the mental toll of dying over and over again. This is not just about brute strength but about survival, adaptation, and, most importantly, perseverance.

Ryo is forced to rely on Blood Manipulation, a skill that he is familiar with but can be limiting when facing such overwhelming odds. This limitation, however, helps shape him into a more adaptable and resourceful fighter, even if it drives him to madness along the way. It's a reminder that the path to growth is rarely smooth—sometimes it's through pain and failure that we find our true power.

I hope you enjoyed this intense phase of Ryo's training. His struggle is far from over, and Phase 4 promises to be just as grueling. Thank you for sticking with the story, and as always, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments! Your feedback means a lot to me.

Until next time!
