Chapter 1 - Ch -1 Sword God system

The chilling night wind howled through the mountains as rain poured down in torrents, drenching the blood-stained figure that lay motionless on the muddy ground. His robes, once pristine, were now torn and soaked in a mix of blood and rainwater. His face, pale and gaunt, bore the marks of recent wounds, and his breathing was weak, barely clinging to life.

This was Wang Lin, once the most promising disciple of the Azure Cloud Sect—now a discarded corpse left to rot in the wilderness.

The memories of his betrayal flashed through his mind like a broken dream. Just a day ago, he had been on the verge of breaking through to the Foundation Establishment Realm, standing proudly among the elite disciples. But envy and greed had always lurked in the shadows. His so-called brothers and friends, the very people he had fought alongside, had turned against him.

"Senior Brother Wang, you shouldn't have been so talented..."

Those were the last words he heard before a sword plunged into his chest, severing his dantian. His spiritual core was shattered, his cultivation destroyed—reduced to a cripple.

As he lay there, abandoned in the cold wilderness, despair threatened to consume him. But fate had other plans.

Ding!

A strange mechanical sound echoed in his mind, breaking through the haze of pain and exhaustion.

[Sword God System Activating…]

[Host Detected: Wang Lin]

[Status: Critically Injured | Dantian Destroyed]

[Initializing Emergency Restoration Protocol…]

Wang Lin's eyes widened as he felt a sudden warmth spread through his body. A surge of mysterious energy coursed through his shattered meridians, weaving through his veins like molten gold. His broken dantian, which should have been irreparable, began to reconstruct itself.

The excruciating pain that had threatened to drag him into the abyss was replaced by an overwhelming sensation of power. His heart pounded as new strength surged through his limbs. He clenched his fists, feeling his body regenerate at an impossible speed.

[Restoration Complete.]

[Host's Cultivation: Recovered]

[New Path Unlocked: Sword God Physique]

A new status screen appeared in his mind.

—--------------------------------

Name: Wang Lin

Age: 17

Cultivation: Foundation Establishment (Reformed)

Physique: Sword God Physique (Incomplete)

Skills: None

Sword Qi: 0/100

—--------------------------------

"Sword God Physique?" Wang Lin muttered, his voice still hoarse from exhaustion. But before he could process the change, a surge of information flooded into his mind.

The Sword God Physique was an ancient, lost inheritance—one that allowed its wielder to dominate all paths of the sword. Unlike ordinary cultivators who required a dantian to store qi, Wang Lin's new body could directly absorb Sword Qi from the heavens and earth, surpassing all conventional limits.

The implications were shocking. A destroyed dantian was a death sentence for any cultivator, but Wang Lin had not only survived—he had evolved into something greater.

His fingers trembled as he reached for the blood-stained sword lying beside him. The moment his hands touched the hilt, an invisible force surged from his body. The rusted blade trembled, as if awakening from a long slumber.

[New Skill Unlocked: Sword Absorption]

[Absorbing Sword Qi… 10… 20… 50…]

The old, broken sword disintegrated into motes of light, and Wang Lin felt its essence merge into him. A newfound sharpness filled his mind, as if he had become one with the sword itself.

The rain had stopped. The night air was now eerily silent. Wang Lin slowly rose to his feet, his eyes burning with renewed determination.

He had been betrayed. Left for dead.

But he was not the same Wang Lin anymore.

A cold smirk formed on his lips.

"The Azure Cloud Sect… my dear senior brothers…" His voice carried a chilling edge. "You wanted me dead?"

His gaze turned towards the distant mountains where the sect resided. A storm brewed in his heart, fiercer than any heavenly tribulation.

"Then wait for me."

For the first time in history, a Sword God was about to rise.
