In the beginning I've always dreamed of being a hero, but all dreams don't come true do they?

Some dreams die and some just don't happen, I think that's what happened to mine. Where are my manners, my name is Issac and this is my story and how I became the monster I'am now.

It all started that fateful day back in Greece it was a nice and sunny day with the wind blowing through my curly hair "ISSAC!!!" I hear my friend Isreal yell "Are you just going to stand there, or are you going to take this seriously?" He asked "We are only 16 and in highschool why do I always have to worry about practice it's just some dumb tournament that we can do another year" I said as I throw a strike out towards him.

He exhales and dodged the attack "You have to worry because you throw out sloppy kicks and punch's like that"He said worryingly "I don't even know how you made it past the qualifiers" He said confused as he throws out a fast kick towards me. I jumped back nearly being hit by the kick "I made it because I'm just good"I said proudly while running at him "Yea, then show me how good you are" he said excitedly. Then I leaped in the air and did a fancy kick "exactly what I thought" he said under is breath as he knocks me to the ground.

As dust gets thrown into the air as I hit the ground hard "you really had me excited for a good sparring match there for a second" he said in a sadden tone " why did I have to be injured for the qualifiers". He reaches out his hand to help me up from the ground " you really should've been in them instead of me, I'm not as good as you are" I said laughing " you know that I'm not the only one worried about the tournament right" he said like he was questioning me.

As I got up from the ground I start to dust off all the leaves and grass blades off me " yea and who else is worried about it" I said curiously " Amanda" he said sternly "you know she has had a thing for you for years, there is no way you haven't noticed it yet" he said .

As soon as he said that, I started to think does she really have a thing for me or she just a really supportive friend. I'm not that good looking, but I'm better looking then most guys " yeah right, now you are just playing with me" I said while pushing him jokingly " you know I have liked her since we where kids". I started to think again, the only things I have going for me are my green eyes and my brown curly hair, my height is average for someone my age and my body is built do to all the training and weights I do for my mix martial arts fights.

Isreal sighed while turning around and started looking down at the hill while watching the sun start to set over the sky " you should consider yourself lucky at least you have someone who may like you" he said kind of relieved. I mean Isreal isn't bad looking ether he has blond short hair which is pushed over to the side and his blue eyes shimmer like the ocean, but can be cold like ice if you make him mad enough . We are similar in size and build. The only downside I would say he has is that he takes everything a little too seriously. I took a deep breath in "being out here in this country side of Greece is way better then being back home stuck on some old pig farm" I said joyfully "Yea… at least you have a home to go too" he said sadden. See Isreal's parents died at a young age, so he goes home to a orphanage, where his guardian's are always arguing with one another, but other then that he has a good life they treat him with love and compassion.

I started to look at him " it's all going to be okay trust me, we will win the tournament get the money and buy a house once we graduate." I said with a smile on my face. He turned and started to look at me " we better start heading back to the hotel" he said still kind of bummed " yea we can't be late or will be killed by our teacher and Amanda" I said with a worried expression on my face. We started to walk back as the sun started to sink deeper into the sky, then we started to hear some noises coming from the bushes.

We both jumped back and took our fighting stances, the noise keep getting louder and scarier. Then it stopped and we hear a loud boo, I throw out a hard kick to hurt our attacker, then I realized who it was. It was Amanda, panic started to hit my face I couldn't stop my leg from hitting across her face all of a sudden I see a blurr come from my left, it was Isreal.

The blow ended up hitting him in his gut so hard that it knocked the wind out of him. He looked like he was about to throw up from the sheer force " Oh my god are you ok Isreal" Amanda said concerned for her friend " yeah, I will be" Isreal said doubled over in pain "your dead when I get up" he said glaring at me angrily. I helped him up and helped dusted him off, he ended up punching me over the head " next time wait to see who it is before you do that" Isreal said lovingly "I'm so sorry Isreal" I said trying to stop him from hitting me more " Anyway why are you here Amanda we were just on are way back" I said concerned " Yea I'm sorry I was just worried that yall go lost, so I decided to go find yall" she said casually "oh by the way Mr.Walter is pissed that your late and that yall dipped out at the tour of the Temple of Zeus" "DAMMITTTT" I said angrily "what are we going to do Isreal. I can't take another lecture from that man last time he started to scream at us because we where a minute late for his class. Then proceeded to call me childish and irresponsible " I said with tears in my eyes. Isreal started to get flash backs and had a worried expression on his face " yeah well he is right about one thing you are childish and irresponsible but some of the stuff he says shouldn't be legal" " HEY!! I'm not childish, I don't like that word I like to call it being free spirited" I replied happily " yea well doesn't matter what you call it we need to hurry up and get back before we make it worse" said Isreal in a panic.

We started to run until we realized Amanda can't keep up with our speed, then we had to slow down while keeping a steady pace so we would be on time. As we where walking we came up on place for Amanda to take her break. We let Amanda sit down and catch her breath so I started to explore the area, it was an old temple that had been partly destroyed the roof was missing and some of the pillars where gone.

While I was walking around I found a stair case that went down "Amanda do you have a flashlight that I can borrow" "yea but what do you need that for?" She asked while panting " there is a stair case I wanna check it out it looks like something interesting could be down there" I said as she hands me the flash light half dazed. I go down the steps while shine the flashlight on each step " be careful Issac please I don't need you to hurt yourself man" " yea yea I will be ok" I said sarcastically Isreal just rolled his eyes " what do you see in this man" Isreal asked while leaned up against one of the pillars Amanda just started to blush " sssshhhhh what if he hears you" Amanda whispered " Oh yea like he would ever believe me" Isreal said sarcastically

When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I started to shine the flashlight on the walls. There where paintings, of people in the temple when it was more complete. The painting on one wall where of them giving offerings to the statue of Zeu and on the other of people dying and a black plague effecting people. In the middle of the room there was a box which I found it to be really strange.

Behind the box was a painting of a dragon, on the box it had weird symbols on it and dragon wings with a dragon head on it "GUYS I FOUND SOMETHING" I screamed . All of the sudden Isreal and Amanda jump up and come running down the stairs acting like I had gotten shot " Issac are you ok please tell me you didn't get yourself into trouble again" he said kind of excited like he was ready for a fight " or I-i-is there a m-mon-monster" Amanda said stumbling over her words as she started to back up on to the stair case "Whoa this place looks ancient" she said in a tone of amazement "man this place has been through hell" he said as he frowned.

I ignored them and kept staring intently at the box as if it was call my name as if it had be witched me into opening it " Don't touch it" Isreal yelled out as if he was scolding me " but why, it could have gold or a genie, that could give us any wish" I stated excitedly . Amanda starting thinking " if it was a genie then I would wish that me and Issac could be together" she said quietly under her breath " what was that Amanda" I asked. Amanda started to turn red " nothing it was nothing" she said quickly trying to distract them from what she had said just a moment ago. She turned trying to hide her face " anyway what if it is something bad" Isreal said trying to cover up the awkward moment " what if it was like Pandora's box and you spread disease and chaos to the world" Isreal said in a panicked tone "don't worry I don't know who pan-door-hoe is and what's inside her box but it can't be bad" I said with ease " you really don't learn anything from history do you" Isreal said unsurprised from my stupidity.

Amanda giggled and then got serious remembering who pandora is " some say that pandora is the one you gave humans there morality by introducing deadly diseases and despair into the world" she said coldly " the legends also says that there was hope at the bottom of the box" she said hoping that was the case if they decided to opened the box.

I just ignored the remarks and information I couldn't think of anything but the box it was like it was calling my name trying to draw me in. I tried to ignore it and listen to my friends but it kept bewitching me and drawing me towards it " come here Issac" the box said " Umm guys do you here that" I said worried and scared out of my mind " hear what, I can't hear anything" Isreal said in confusion " yea, are you ok your not going crazy on us are you" Amanda said worryingly.

Amanda started to shuffle around has if she was uneasy about this place " Guys let's just go we don't need to be late now or Mr.Walter will be even more mad at us" she said kind of relieved that we would be leaving this place " Yea let just go we got more important things to do then stay here in this creepy place" Isreal said excitedly "yea" I said saddened by the thought of not being able to see what was in that box.

We started to walk back to the stair case all I could do was continue to think about the box I guess I will just put it on the back burner for now. I sighed "SCREW IT" I yelled startling Amanda and Isreal causing them to scream and hold on to each other. Now I'm running towards the box and all I'm thinking about it is opening the box and then I hear it again "yes come closer, open me" I get to the box and flip the lock on the box with ease, like I have done it a thousand times.

All of the sudden I get thrown back by the shock wave and I get knock down to the ground hitting the concrete slabs. Isreal and Amanda also get hit by the shock wave knocking Isreal out and knocked Amanda out of breath as she screams.

The box starts to glow and shoot balls of light out of it, which two balls of light end up hitting Amanda and Isreal right in the chest. They started to glow "WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME" she screams panicking thinking she is going to die, as the room starts to grow cold and a dark energy hits me in the chest and my vision starts to go black.
