The training yard behind the academy was alive with movement as Mira, Eve, and Riku gathered to prepare for their mission. The sun hung low, casting long shadows as the three exorcists stood in a loose formation.
Mira was practically vibrating with excitement, stretching her arms as she grinned. "A lycanthrope hunt? Hell yeah! I was getting bored!"
Eve, ever composed, adjusted the sigils on her gloves. "Don't underestimate it. Werewolves are faster, stronger, and incredibly resilient. If we don't take it down fast, it'll tear us apart."
Riku leaned lazily against a tree, spinning a small dagger between his fingers. "So, we just stab it a lot until it stops moving?"
Eve shot him a glare. "If you don't take this seriously, you'll be the first one it rips apart."
Riku smirked. "That's why I have you two to do the hard work."
Mira cracked her knuckles. "Fine by me! I'll take the lead. I bet I can knock it out in one punch."
Eve sighed. "Mira, this isn't some street brawl. Lycanthropes regenerate insanely fast. Regular attacks won't cut it."
Mira grinned. "That's what makes it fun."
Eve ignored her, pulling out a set of holy tags. "Silver and purification magic are the best ways to stop a werewolf. I'll be focusing on locking it down with sigils, but I need time to set them up."
Mira nodded. "Got it. I'll keep it busy."
Riku stretched. "And I'll… I dunno. Look for information?"
Eve glared. "You're our tracker, Riku. We need you to find that thing first."
He smirked. "Yeah, yeah. I'll find it. No promises on making it easy, though."
Mira rolled her shoulders. "Alright! Let's get moving before the werewolf finds us first!"
Eve sighed, muttering under her breath. "Why am I stuck with these two…?"
