Chapter 32 - 32

Chapter 32 Mr. Chi

Chapter 32 Mr. Chi

"Master, we're here." The driver Xiao Li said to Chi Yan who was sitting in the back seat with his eyes closed.

Chi Yan did not move and continued to sit quietly.

Xiao Li has followed Chi Yan for several years and understands his young master's temper. He did not say anything and waited silently.

A few minutes later, Chi Yan said without even opening his eyes, "Let's go back to the old house."

"Yes, young master." Xiao Li was a little surprised, but as a subordinate, only by being obedient can he stay safe.

The car drove steadily to the Chi family's old house, stopped the car, and Xiao Li said, "Master, we're here."

"Yeah." Chi Yan finally opened his eyes. He looked out the car window at the brightly lit old house with a dark look in his eyes.

Xiao Li got out of the car and opened the door for Chi Yan. Chi Yan hesitated for two seconds before getting out of the car, straightened his clothes and walked towards the old house.

"Go back, I'll stay at the old house tonight." Chi Yan said without turning his head.

"Yes, young master." Xiao Li immediately responded respectfully.

"Young Master, you're back!" Uncle Chen was very surprised to see Chi Yan coming in. The young master usually didn't come back to the old house for ten days or half a month, so how could it not be surprising that he came back for two consecutive days.

"Well, Uncle Chen, is my grandfather here?"

"Yes, the master is practicing calligraphy in the study!"

After Mr. Chi handed over the company to Chi Yan, he began to live a retirement life.

Every day I either grow flowers or practice calligraphy, and my life is very leisurely.

"Okay." Chi Yan nodded and walked upstairs.

"QQ"

"Grandpa, it's me." Chi Yan said in a cold tone.

"Come in!" An old but deep voice came from inside.

"Card"

As soon as Chi Yan entered the room, he saw his grandfather writing with a brush in a flamboyant manner.

"Why are you back again? Wasn't your second uncle's problem solved?"

Mr. Chi's tone was filled with impatience.

Outsiders all thought that Chi Yan didn't like going back to the old house, but in fact it was just the opposite. It was Old Man Chi who didn't like others disturbing his life. He was so leisurely and comfortable.

But as soon as Chi Yan came back, he started telling people what not to eat and what not to eat, and he was even more nosy than his personal doctor.

Don't you think about how old he is? If you don't eat a few more bites now while you can still eat, do you have to wait until he is lying in bed unable to move before eating?

What an unfilial son, just like his useless father.

Chi Yan's father is the eldest son, and he should have inherited the family business, but his father was born with an adventurous heart and started his adventure journey when he was in his teens. When he was young, he had limited places to go, but when he grew up, he was free to do anything dangerous. When he was young, the angry old man Chi would beat his son up every time he saw him, and he would only stop when he was lying in bed.

Later, Grandpa Chi notified Father Chi that as long as he gave birth to a grandson, he could go wherever he wanted and the father would no longer be responsible for him.

Unexpectedly, in order to get rid of Grandpa Chi's control as soon as possible, Father Chi found a woman to marry in less than a month. This woman was naturally Chi Yan's mother, Ms. Xiang Ya, who also had an adventurous spirit.

The next year, Chi Yan was born. Afterwards, the couple left Chi Yan to Old Man Chi and continued their adventure hand in hand.

Old Master Chi was so angry that he almost choked.

Fortunately, he had an eldest grandson, which prevented Grandpa Chi from sending people to capture Chi's father and beat him up.

"It's not Second Uncle's business." Chi Yan came forward and looked at Grandpa Chi writing the four characters "Everything you eat is delicious" in a flamboyant manner, and his eyes twitched uncontrollably.

People say that the older you get, the more childish you become. His grandfather really lived up to these words.

In the past, my grandfather practiced calligraphy with ambitious words such as "great ambition", "a long and arduous journey", and "the peak of career". But now, he writes in a childish way.

"Isn't he your second uncle? Then go back!" If he wasn't that useless second son, then it wouldn't be a big deal. He didn't want to hear it.

Old Master Chi was so depressed about his two sons that he wanted to vomit blood.

The eldest son perfectly inherited his business talent. He could maximize the business interests he set his eyes on with just a flick of the finger and make a fortune.

Unfortunately, he is a fool with no ambition and only knows how to take risks.

The second son is ambitious. He has ambitions for power, status, and money. This is a good thing. Which man doesn't have ambition? Those without ambition are fools (such as the eldest son).

But the second son had ambition but no ability to match it. All the properties entrusted to him were bankrupted and liquidated in less than three months, and he had no idea how much trouble he had to clean up for him.

But the man still has no self-awareness and has not given up. He still resents that all he has given him is a small business. If he were to hand over the family to him and let him participate in a cooperation worth tens of billions, he would definitely make money.

Old Master Chi was so angry that he was about to spit blood. If he were really allowed to get involved in a cooperation worth tens of billions, the Chi family would go bankrupt in minutes.

Even after Ayan grew up and took over the group, he still targeted Ayan and always hated Ayan for snatching the family inheritance rights that should have belonged to him.

If he had not been concerned about the blood relationship, he would have kicked the second son out of the house and left him to fend for himself.

He had warned the second brother to behave himself more than once before, but he didn't expect that he would still attack A Yan. This made Grandpa Chi unable to tolerate it.

Chi Yan was trained by him personally. He is second to none in terms of his keen sense of business and his judgment of people. He is the perfect and outstanding heir who can lead the Chi family to another peak. He is his Achilles' heel. Anyone who dares to touch him must be prepared to be expelled from the family, even his own son.

"Grandpa Qian Tao." Chi Yan went straight to the point without any hesitation.

"Shua..." The hand holding the brush trembled, and the tip of the brush scratched the rice paper. He didn't have time to feel sorry for the good calligraphy, and looked at Chi Yan in shock, "Qian Tao, what's wrong?"

"Grandpa, if I don't know, how long are you going to keep it from me?" Chi Yan didn't answer but asked back.

If someone else asked Chi Yan such a random question, they would definitely be confused, but Chi Yan was brought up by old man Chi, so he could tell what he meant just by looking at him.

Speaking of Qian Tao, it is naturally the car accident that nearly killed Chi Yan 10 years ago.

Mr. Chi did not answer, and Chi Yan was not in a hurry either. The room fell into silence in an instant.

After an unknown amount of time, Mr. Chi asked in a hoarse voice, "How did you know?" This shocked him. After all, they had already cleaned up the matter and it was impossible for anyone to know who leaked the news.

Old Master Chi didn't believe that any of the brothers who had followed him through thick and thin for so long would betray him.

"Grandpa, you haven't answered my question yet." Chi Yan asked instead of answering.

"Always." Feeling guilty towards Qian Tao, if Chi Yan couldn't find out the truth, he would take that matter to his grave.

As expected. Chi Yan concealed the dark light in his eyes.

"How did you know?" Mr. Chi kept asking.

"Grandpa, if you don't want others to know, then you'd better not do it." Chi Yan didn't want to tell his grandfather about Xiao Wan'er's specialness, and did not explain it to him.

Seeing that Chi Yan didn't want to talk more, Old Man Chi stopped asking questions and just asked the question he wanted to know most, "The one who told you this was…" one of his brothers?

"No," Chi Yan shook his head, "I learned the truth from another channel." What he meant was that there were no traitors among the old man's brothers.

Mr. Chi got the answer he wanted and breathed a sigh of relief.

Not bad, not bad.

He really couldn't stand being betrayed again.
