Chapter 1 - The Fear of human

Nana was awaked in her home to a strange noise coming from inside of the house, a chill was sent down her spine as she could hear something dragging across the floor outside her room. Nana quicky cast [Flame] and lit the lantern on her nightstand. She couldn't shake the unnerving feeling of something, she couldn't quite tell what this feeling was, but she knew something was off. She couldn't help but to feel Fear in her soul. She got up from her bed and started to slowly walk to her bedroom door, her heart was racing with anticipation. She stopped right in front of her door and grabbed onto the knob; she could hear that the dragging noise was coming from the hallway that was only separated by her door. Nana, hesitating at her door tried to calm herself down, reasoning that it must've been Sulie. Nana opened her door allowing the glow of the lantern to penetrate the darkness enveloping the hallway. Staring into the stale corridor, Nana could see nothing. Blowing out a sigh of relief, "She must've had to use the restroom" Nana said to herself.

Nana got back into bed and began to close her eyes, but for some reason, Nana still couldn't shake off the Fear that she had felt. she began to get antsy. She lay in her bed tossing and turning, until one of her motherly instincts beckoned her to Sullies room. She once again held onto the lantern after lighting it once more and heading out into the hallway. The light illuminating the hallway from her lantern didn't reach the end of it making it seem as if the hallway was never ending. After feeling chills up and down her arms she pushed passed the Fear and started to walk towards the end of the hallway where Sulies room was. Reaching the door to Sulies room, she let out a prayer, "Oh Great Spirit of Holy Golden Magic, I pray that my daughter is alright".

Before Nana could open the Door, she snapped her head behind her as she swore that she heard something moving behind her. All she could see was the darkness that filled the hallway. Turning back around she opened the door to Sulies room. Scanning inside the room, her eyes were immediately attracted to Sulies bed where she could see that Sulie was tucked in her bed peacefully sleeping through the night. A warm smile with a hint of relief was on Nanas face as she began to walk towards Sulie before laying her eyes on the picture that was on her nightstand. The picture was an old family portrait of Nana, Sulie, and Guldur, Sulies Father and Nanas Husband. Seeing this picture began to remind Nana of a not-so-distant past.

Guldur Topiah was once a Viscount of the Holy Luetz Kingdom he was a bright man who developed Topiah region far beyond his predecessor. He was at the height of his glory having also been one of the hero's who fended off invaders from the Waltis empire. But suddenly he vanished, one day he just vanished without a trace. The kingdom was efficient in its haste to quell the chaos as they appointed Astum Topiah, a nephew of Guldar, to take over the position of viscount. Astum was cruel, kicking out Guldars family out of the family leaving Nana and Sulie to fend for themselves out there in the cruel world. Nana for the longest time lived on the streets along with her daughter. It was a tough time for them, needing to beg in the streets for a chance of a meal. They were robbed of their life, robbed of a husband… a father. Nana never lost hope for a bright future, anything to give her lovely daughter a good future. Nana at her nearing her last options almost had to resort to prostitution. Anything to help her daughter, Sulie. Before Nana had to resort to this, she was approached by a man. The man was dressed in a white suit and had curly dark brown hair that was long on the top, front, and back, but the sides were short. The man with his dark brown piercing eyes smiled at Nana, "oh my goodness! Are alright? You look awful," Said the man. Nana could only stare at the man, her eyes devoid of any life. Just then Nana had a glimmer of hope, "Please sir, help us please! My daughter and I have been here for weeks and I don't know what to do," Nana said her voice was weak but one could tell she was pushing her voice.

The man just kept his smile up and replied, "Worry no more miss, I shall give you another chance, create a new future for your daughter".

Nana found it hard to believe that it's only been a few months since that man had saved her and Sulie. The man called himself Phanuel, he was a kind gentleman in the eyes of Sulie. Snaping out of her reminiscence, Nana continued to Sulies bed and sat next to her. She put her hand up to Sulies head and began to pat her head. As she was rubbing Sulies head she realized something, Sulie was cold, too cold. Nanas heart sank as she through off Sulies bed sheets. The sight infront of her was horrid. Nana couldn't breath and her heart seemed like it stopped beating, for Nana time stopped. Laying on the bed was Sulie or what's left of her. Sulies legs had been ripped off and her stomach had been ripped open. Her intestines had beef position to look like her lost legs leading out from the torso. Her neck was rotated 180 degrees to her back and her jaw was barely hanging on to her head. Nana was in shock she didn't know what to do, she was in shock. Before she could react, she heard a heavy whisper in her ear, "Make sure that nothing follows you after you turn off all the lights in your house". The next thing Nana knew she was no longer looking a Sulie but was now facing what had whispered in her ear. Her neck was forced 180° to face her assassin.
