A Lesson in the Forbidden

Lily led Harry down the long, winding halls of Potter Manor, moving with a purpose that made Harry's stomach twist with anticipation.

"This isn't Hogwarts magic," she warned as they descended a flight of stone steps into a hidden training chamber. "The spells I'm going to show you today don't rely on incantations or wands. They come from within."

Harry listened intently as she continued.

"The Lords of Magic did more than erase the Archmages. They changed the way wizards think about magic. They convinced everyone that wands are necessary—that without them, we're powerless."

She stopped at the center of the chamber, her emerald eyes glowing with powerful intent.

"They were wrong."

She raised her hand, fingers barely moving. A pulse of magic rippled through the room, and suddenly, the floating candles flared brighter, the air thickened with energy, and Harry felt his own magic stir in response.

No wand.

No incantation.

Just willpower.

Harry's breath hitched.

He had to learn this.

His Gamer System reacted instantly.

New Skill Unlocked: [Wandless Magic Mastery] (Lv. 1)

• Effect: Allows control of raw magic without a wand.

• Current Efficiency: 20%

Lily nodded, watching his reaction. "Good. Your magic is already adapting."

Harry grinned. "Show me more."

The First Test

Lily spent the next hour teaching him how to pull magic from his core, how to manipulate it without words, and how to bend the energy around him instead of just channeling it.

It was exhausting.

His head throbbed, his hands trembled, but with every attempt, he could feel the power growing inside him.

His Gamer System kept track of every tiny improvement.

Skill Progress:

• Wandless Magic Mastery (Lv. 1 → Lv. 2)

• Mana Control (Lv. 4 → Lv. 5)

• Mystic Insight (Passive) reacting to new teachings…

"You're learning faster than I expected," Lily admitted. "But there's a difference between knowing magic and using it under pressure."

Harry's body ached, but his mind was sharp. He knew what was coming next.

A real test.

Lily stepped back, raising a single hand.

"Defend yourself," she said.

Before Harry could question her, a blast of golden energy shot toward him.

A Fight Without a Wand

Harry's Gamer instincts took over.

He moved—not with a spell, but with raw reaction speed. His mother's magic sizzled past him, narrowly missing his shoulder.

He barely had time to think before she sent another blast, faster than the first.

I have no wand. No spells ready. What do I do?!

His Mystic Insight pulsed.

And suddenly, he knew.

Harry threw his hands forward, pulling the ambient magic in the air toward him—just like he had done in the dungeon.

A barrier of pure energy erupted between them.

Lily's magic slammed into it, rippling against the shield, but did not break through.

His Gamer System flashed.

New Spell Unlocked: [Arcane Barrier] (Lv. 1)

• Effect: Creates a shield of raw magical energy.

• Cost: 50 MP per second.

• Efficiency: 40% (Improves with training.)

Harry barely had time to breathe before Lily attacked again—but this time, instead of a blast, she vanished.

His heart pounded.

She's fast—!

A sharp wind hit his back, and before he could react, Lily appeared behind him—her palm pressed lightly against his shoulder.

"You're dead," she said calmly.

Harry exhaled, his magic fading. His body ached, and his energy levels had dropped drastically.

His mother lowered her hand, nodding in approval.

"You did better than I expected," she admitted. "Most adult wizards can't use wandless barriers, let alone react fast enough to block spells without training."

Harry groaned, still catching his breath.

"But," Lily continued, "you rely too much on your system. You let it guide you instead of thinking on your own. That will get you killed against the wrong opponent."

Harry flinched at the truth in her words.

She wasn't wrong.

His Gamer System was a gift, but if he let it control him, he would never become truly powerful.

He had to start using his instincts.

His mother seemed to sense his realization. She smiled, resting a hand on his head.

"Don't worry. You're learning. And now, you have something most wizards will never have—true control over your own magic."

Harry looked up, determination burning in his eyes.

"Teach me more."

Lily chuckled. "That's what I was hoping you'd say."

A Name That Shouldn't Exist

That night, after his body had recovered, Harry returned to the ancient journal.

He flipped through its pages, absorbing more of Arcturus Potter's words.

Then, suddenly—

A name appeared.

One that should not exist.

His Gamer System reacted violently, flashing red.

WARNING! UNKNOWN ENTITY DETECTED.

• The name you have read has been removed from time itself.

• The Lords of Magic erased it for a reason.

• Proceed with extreme caution.

Harry's breath hitched.

The name was short.

Simple.

Mordred.

New Quest Activated: [The Forgotten Name]

• Someone erased the existence of Mordred from magical history. Discover why.

• Difficulty: ???

• Reward: ???

Harry clenched his fists.

Someone doesn't want me to know the truth.

That only made him want it more.
