"I lay in bed trying to shake off the exhaustion from another sleepless night. My eyes were fixed on the toilet door, which was wildly opened as if inviting me to see whatever lurked within. The sound of a single drop of water hitting the ground echoed through the room steady and relentlessly. As I listened to the gentle drip my eyelids grew heavy and I felt myself falling off to sleep. But just as I closed my eyes, the sound changed. Tap. Tap. Tap
"Haaaaa. so cold" I whispered as the chill crawled down my skin like icy fingers. I wrapped the bed cover around me, making myself look like a bee in a hive with only my face peeking through its small hole. My eyes where fixed on the toilet door my breathing slow and deliberate, while my chest tightened up, I tried to convince myself it was no fear just my mind playing tricks or hallucinations.
The silence was broken by the sudden ring of my phone, shattering the stillness, As I reached for it I unwrapped myself from the bed cover feeling a bit silly for having to hind under the blankets like a rabbit in its hole or a little child. I answered the call, expecting a familiar voice or maybe a wrong number
"hellooo" I said, waiting for a response.
The silence on the other end was unsettling, I dropped the phone but it rang again, I hesitated for a moment before answering,
"Mushi mushi..." No response. All I could hear was heavy breathing, like a predator waiting to pounce,I dropped the phone quickly as my heart was racing.
The ringing persisted, echoing through the room like a scream.
"Who's this?" I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady, at the end of the line was a child's voice.
"Gummy bear wants to use the bathroom" it said, the words sending a chill down my spine I could no longer feel my legs as if they'd turned to ice, All I could do was stare at the bathroom door which was no longer wildly open but closed as if something had slipped inside waiting for me,and I knew at that moment I wasn't alone in my bedroom.
I chose to be skeptical.
"Emm hahaha, hey little one, I'm not who you're thinking I am," I said, trying to sound calm and friendly knowing i had no niece or nephew anywhere. But before I could hang up.
child's voice replied, Your bathroom door is closed now! Hehehe

The child giggled softly. Gummy Bear was naughty today and got dirty, Look! he's in there!
My hands trembled as I heard running water in my bathroom immediately as the child spoke. I dropped the phone and sat on my bed trying to process what was happening. The water continued to run and I closed my eyes, telling myself I was just tired and had a long day or maybe I ate something poisonous which is causing hallucinations or making me see and hear things.
But as the water stopped I opened my eyes and saw that my bathroom door was open. I sprinted out of my room like a raging bull,screaming my ass out not caring about any part of my body, I could feel my left shoulder brushing the wall I felt I could run faster than usual because of fear and feel no pain but I felt someone running behind me,I screamed again without confirming if anything was really behind me or not,I grabbed the door handle, but it wouldn't open, I remember I dropped the keys on the table in my room.

"Ha! I really don't want to end up dead like in horror movies"I thought.
I took a few deep breaths, turned away from the door, and headed back to my room.
My legs shaking as I walked, I had second thoughts and considered jumping out the window but it was a four story building. I entered my room, picked up my phone slowly, and said, "What do you want from me this time?"

"I don't know... Gummy Bear just really.. really likes you. Do you like him too?"
I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the question. "Yes" I played along.
