Here is the continuation:
Sunny walked outside, breathing in the cool evening air. He didn't want to remain inside again, surrounded by the sights and sounds of suffering. He just wanted to go home and sleep, to try and process everything that Marcus had told him.
What Marcus told him made him realize what many soldiers were going through, he wondered how many deserted were in the war
As he walked slowly, lost in thought, he didn't notice the person in front of him. Without realizing it, he bumped into someone, causing them to drop the contents of what they were carrying.
Sunny's thoughts snapped back into reality as he realized that he had just bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorry," he said, as he knelt down on one knee to help pick up the scattered items.
As he stood up, he was greeted by a beautiful face. The woman's eyes were a deep brown, and her skin was a smooth, creamy complexion. Her hair was long and dark, falling down her back like a waterfall.
Sunny felt a jolt of surprise, followed by a sense of embarrassment. He hadn't expected to bump into someone, let alone a beautiful woman.
The woman smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "It's okay," she said, her voice warm and soothing. "Accidents happen."
They stood awkwardly in quietness, the sound of crickets contributing to the awkwardness. Sunny, who wasn't very fluent with ladies, was tongue-tied. He had been trying to think of something to say, but his mind was a blank.
After what felt like an eternity, Sunny finally managed to stammer out a question. "What's your name?" he asked, feeling like he had just run a marathon.
Catherine smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "My name is Catherine," she said, her voice sweet and melodious.
Sunny felt his heart skip a beat as he gazed at her. He was taken aback by her beauty and charm.
"Was your name...?" Catherine asked, her voice trailing off as she waited for Sunny to respond.
Sunny's face grew hot as he realized he had been staring at her. "Sunny is my name," he replied, feeling like a clumsy fool.
The silence that followed was awkward, with only the sound of crickets breaking the stillness. Sunny and Catherine stood there, looking at each other, unsure of what to say next.
"So... I can see you're in a hurry, let me not take most of your time," Sunny said, hiding his sweaty hand behind his back. He felt a pang of disappointment that their encounter was coming to an end, but he didn't want to keep her from whatever she had to do.
"Yeah, of course," Catherine replied, smiling briefly before turning to hurry into the church. Sunny's eyes followed her, and he couldn't help but notice the curve of her body as she rushed away. She was heavily blessed, and Sunny felt a flush rise to his cheeks as he turned his head, shaking it wistfully.
He walked forward to the chair at the front of the church, waiting for his mom to finish whatever she was doing. As he sat down, he felt a wave of boredom wash over him. He took out his phone and began to surf the internet, his eyes scanning mindlessly through social media and news feeds.
The church was quiet, the only sound the soft murmur of voices from the back where his mom was helping the refugees. Sunny's mind began to wander, thinking about Catherine and their brief encounter. He wondered if he would see her again, and what she would be like if they had a chance to talk more.
As he scrolled through his phone, Sunny's eyes began to glaze over, his boredom and fatigue getting the better of him. He leaned back in his chair, his eyes drifting shut as he let out a soft sigh. The sound of his phone buzzing in his hand was the only thing that kept him from drifting off to sleep.
Then suddenly, he heard a soft, familiar voice say "hey". The voice went straight to his ears, and his eyes snapped open. He turned back, and his heart skipped a beat as he found the beautiful face staring down at him.
Oh no, Sunny thought, feeling a wave of panic wash over him. He had been happy that he hadn't embarrassed himself more the first time they met, and now here she was, standing in front of him again.
"Hey," Sunny replied, trying to sound casual. "What are you doing here?" he asked, and then immediately realized that he had asked a stupid question.
She raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing on her lips. "Any body can come here is a public place I presume," she said, her voice dripping with amusement.
Sunny felt his face dropped as he realized the absurdity of his question. "Right, of course," he muttered.
Catherine chuckled, her eyes sparkling with mirth. "Don't worry, I won't bite," she said, her voice softening. "Unless you're hiding something from me, that is."
Sunny's heart skipped a beat as he met her gaze. He felt like he was drowning in the depths of her eyes, and he couldn't look away. "I'm not hiding anything, they barely meant fifteen minutes ago sunny wondered
Catherine smiled, her eyes never leaving his. "Good," she said, her voice dripping with sincerity. "I'm glad to hear that."
