"JIHYUN GET UP, YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE" my mom yelled from downstairs, her voice echoed through the hallway as I tossed my backpack on and grabbed my stuff
I was already up, having barely slept a wink all night, too excited and nervous for the biggest day of my life so far.
The entrance exam to the prestigious Dehan University of Law and Politics, a dream I'd been working toward for 2 long months, and finally the day had arrived.
I headed downstairs and found my mom waiting for me in the kitchen. She'd made me a simple but comforting breakfast- toast, coffee, and some fresh apples that she spent so much time growing.
"Thank you," I said, turning to my mom with a warm smile.
Her eyes welled up with tears, and I could see the pride and love she had for me written all over her face.
I gave her one last big hug before I headed out, "Love you mom," I said while running out the door. 'Love you too, Jihyun!' she called out after me. I sprinted to the bus stop seeing the bus in the distance.
I had to cross the street to reach my bus stop, as soon as it was my turn to cross the street I ran as fast as I could.
I made it to the bus stop just in time.

I had finally arrived at the university; it was so big and beautiful. There were trees everywhere and students walking around laughing with their friends. It was time to take my test.
I made it to the testing room, and the professor started to hand out the tests, "Good luck to all of you," he said filling us with encouragement. That made me smile.
I started my test, and it was already looking hard, but I studied 2 months for this so I know I would pass it. I was stuck on the last question… what is your purpose in life?
I never really thought abut my purpose in life. I guess it would be to help my mom and make her proud by getting accepted into this school. I had turned my test in after answering the question.
I had to wait another hour to see what I got on the exam. When I had finally got my paper.
I PASSED WITH A 87/100! I can attend Dehan University now. I can't wait to tell my mom about this.
I was walking back to the bus stop with the biggest smile on my face and my paper in hand, I was waiting to cross the street. As soon as it was my turn to cross, I skipped across the street.
Then suddenly "BOOM" I felt something hard knock me over.
Why did I feel cold? It was almost summer. I hear people shouting, what are they saying? "Call 911" I heard somebody yell in panic. Am I hurt? But there's no pain…just tiredness.
I feel somebody shaking me, but why? I'm not hurt I'm just tired. My eyelids felt heavy… I started to close my eyes. "I feel… sleepy" I remember mumbling that before I fell asleep.
I heard the sound of a beeping machine…where am I?
Oh, the beepings getting faster, People are shouting something.. "GET THE DEFIBRILLATOR ." Who's dying? Is it me?
It can't be I need to tell my mom I got accepted to the university.
