After leaving the Marine base the three of us follow Rika to the outside of a restaurant.
Luffy started telling her about Zoro eating her rice balls.
"Really?!" She gasps happily.
"Yeah! He ate it all up!" Luffy tells her.
"Also said it was delicious." I add.
"I'm so glad!" She smiles widely.
Koby was sitting on the floor, contemplating the situation. "Is Zoro really as bad as everyone says?"
"He's not!" Rika snaps at Koby. "He got crucified in my place after all…"
Ouch, she's too young to be blaming herself for someone's else decision.
"Huh?" Luffy asked from his barrel. "What do you mean?"
"It's all that Helmeppo's fault," Rika said. "he's captain Morgan's son…"
Huh, so it's like in the manga. Helmeppo for some unholy reason decided to have wolfs as pets, and untrained ones at that. They were running loose in the town and entered her mother's restaurant, Rika tried to scare them away, but a wolf attacked her, but before any damage happened, Zoro intervened, killing the wolf. When Helmeppo tried to have it out with Zoro, he just threatened him, making the brat almost pee in his pants. But he wouldn't let it end like that, telling Zoro that he would tell his father about this, and Rika and her mother would be the ones to suffer the consequences for being the ones who messed with his pets to begin with. To avoid this, he proposed for Zoro to take their place by being a prisoner for a month, not receiving any food and if he held on everything would be fine.
Honestly, Zoro is too honorable for his own good.
"It's been three weeks already, and Helmeppo hits him while he's tied up!" Tears begin coming from her eyes. "I don't… don't…"
I kneeled next to her and placed a hand on the top of her head.
"Don't worry, everything is going to be fine." I assure her.
Then a commotion starts at the restaurant behind us.
I stood up and went alongside Rika towards the entrance.
Of course, Helmeppo was there.
"Hehehe! I have been bored lately," he says to no one in specific. "So, I've decided to execute Zoro tomorrow! Look forward to it! Hehehehe!"
"Wow, I knew you were an asshole, but I hoped you also didn't completely lack honor." I say before scoffing. "You just got somehow even more pathetic."
Helmeppo turned toward me, "Who-"
He got cut off by Luffy punching him on the face.
I snort. "Good punch cap."
"That guy is scum!" Luffy scowled.
Luffy was about to hit him again, but Koby held him back. "Luffy! Calm down! You want to make an enemy of the Marines?!"
"Y-you hit me!" Helmeppo cried. "I'm Captain Morgan's son, you know!"
"No shit Sherlock, that's like the one thing I know about you." I mock.
"Shut up!" Helmeppo cried once again, huh, he seems to love doing that. "I could have you both executed for this!"
"Not really." I drawled
"Why don't you just fight us yourself!" Luffy struggled against Koby, well, more like he didn't want to hurt him.
"Without his father he is worthless, incapable of doing anything himself." I mock him before laughing.
Luffy declared that Zoro will join the crew, Helmeppo was helped to his feet and started making his way to the door, only to fall again.
I was going to trip him, but he seems to have done that to himself.
"So, are we getting Zoro now cap?" I smile, turning around to face Luffy.
"Shishishi, yep!" He laughts.

Luffy and I went back to the yard Zoro was tied up, startling him awake.
"Oh," He calms down. "It's you two again."
"Sup?" I raise my hand.
"You seem to have a lot of free time." Zoro grumbles.
"If I loosen up the ropes, you're going to join me, okay?"
"What?" Zoro asks baffled.
I snicker, seeing people deal with Luffy's craziness is hilarious.
The two go back and forth, Luffy dead set in making Zoro join the crew.
Then Luffy mentioned that everyone already sees him as a criminal.
"I don't care what they say about me." He says. "I haven't done anything that I regretted in the past and it will be the same for the future! I won't become a pirate!"
"Huh? Yeah?" Luffy shrugs. "But I've decided you will join me!"
"Quit deciding on your own!" Zoro yells.
This is so much funnier in real life, Zoro looks so mad.
"Hey, I heard that you use a sword, is that right?" Luffy says while completely ignoring Zoro.
"Yeah. That bastard kid took it." Zoro responded. "It's what I treasure the most…other than my own life."
"Ohh? Treasure, huh?" Luffy contemplates. "It must be something great!"
"So, if you want your sword join my crew!" Luffy said.
Wahahah, I had forgotten. Arguably the most loyal strawhat was blackmailed to join!
No wonder he fits so well, he and Luffy are both weirdos.
"That's dirt!" Zoro screamed.
"Shishishi," Luffy laughs, turning to run off.
"Wrong direction Cap!" I yell.
"Thanks Clair!" He smiles, now going to the right direction.
"Is he planning to bust into the marine base by himself?" Zoro mutters to himself as I decided to untie his hands.
"Yeah, he will arrive with your swords soon." I untie his left arm. "After probably destroying the entire base."
"You know youre going to be executed for this, right?" Zoro says. "I'll be out in 10 days."
I feel Koby's presence arriving.
"No, your not." I said, trying to untie the other knot. If it wouldn't hurt Zoro, I would just burn it. The rope marked his skin, he is lucky it didn't mess with anything beyond that. "Even if my Captain didn't do what he did, Helmeppo planned to execute you tomorrow anyway."
His eyes widen and I just give him a pitying look. "I did warn you, Helmeppo has no honor whatsoever." Oh, screw this damn knot! "This is going to burn a little." I warn him, before writing a rune on the rope.
"Wait what?!" Zoro asks confused. "Ouch! Why the fuck didn't you just cut it?!" He complains.
"Forgot to bring a knife, and this is faster." I say, before finally destroying the damn rope.
I hear a loud crash from the other side of the Marine base. I pause. "Luffy as expected."
"Clair, I came to help!" Koby came running across the yard.
I sigh. "Good timing! Help me with the last rope."
"Seriously, just leave!" Zoro yells again. He sure is persistent, no wonder Luffy wanted to recruit him.
"They would have killed you anyways! When Luffy heard that, he punched Helmeppo on the face. These marines… they have no honor!" Koby glares at the rope he is trying to untie. "They're after him now. He wants to save you, so I hope you'll help him."
Zoro just stays silent.
I turn around, feeling the presence of Morgan and his subordinates.
"End of the line! For the crime of treason against me, I sentence you to death!" Morgan's voice calls from across the yard, Zoro and Koby turn around to look.
They all have guns pointed at us, but I am not worried. I lift my hand, ready to pour my magical energy into my bracelet, in order to activate my mystic code.
Morgan begins ranting about some self-important bullshit that didn't deserve my attention, so I just keep my focus in the goddamn rope.
"Fire!" I hear him yell, and before I use my mystic code I feel Luffy's presence, so I decided to let him be in the spotlight for now. Zoro needs to see how strong Luffy is after all.
Luffy lands in front of us, catching all the bullets in his body before shooting them out.
"Just in time cap." I spoke.
"Shishishi, not like you couldn't stop them yourself." He laughed.
"What the hell are you?" Zoro asked, looking a bit disturbed at Luffy's display.
Luffy just turn and grins. "I'm Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm going to be King of the Pirates!"
Zoro just sputters. "King of the- are you out of your mind?"
I just laugh. "Wahahaha, he absolutely is! But he is also completely serious, and he can do it too."
"I sure can! Thanks Clair!" Luffy laughs.
He turns to Zoro with a smile. "Look, which one is your treasured sword? I couldn't figure it out, so I brought all three of them!"
"All three are mine." Zoro said, grabbing at the swords only for Luffy to pull them back. "I use three sword style."
Luffy's smile widens. "Hm, resisting the marine with me will make you an outlaw! Or maybe you want to die here?"
Zoro huffs. "Are you the offspring of the devil?" I mean, basically? "Fine. If its die here or become a pirate, I will join you."
Luffy begins cheering, and I decided to just reinforce my nails to cut the damn rope, how the fuck did I forget a knife?!
Zoro is finally free. Luffy gives him his swords while the Marines start charging at us with swords.
With his swords in hand, Zoro blitzes at the Marines making a clanging sound as he blocks nine swords with his three.
Impressive speed, I can only imagine what he will be able to do with things like Soru and Reinforcement.
Zoro holds the marines in a stalemate. "I'm officially a criminal now. So, I'll be a pirate, that I promise. But I will warn you, I have my own goal, to become the World's Greatest Swordsman! If you interfere in that, I will kill you!"
"World's Greatest Swordsman? Cool!" Luffy beamed. "The King of the Pirates deserves nothing less. It would make me look bad!"
A swath of marines starts charging at us. "Clair." He warns and I duck.
Luffy whips his leg around, taking the marines out.
"Seriously, what are you?" Zoro asks, his voice sounds a bit weird as he still has a sword in his mouth.
"He is a Devil fruit user. After eating the Gum Gum fruit, he became a rubber man." I explain.
While I was explaining to Zoro, Morgan yelled at his soldiers, ordering them to kill themselves.
"Luffy, go kick his ass." I smile at my captain, and he smiles back.
Koby echoed my statement.
Not gonna lie, watching Luffy beat Morgan's ass was really nice.
I suddenly hear the sound of a gun cocking by my head.
Huh, his presence is so low I couldn't even feel him. I actually forgot he was going to do this.
"Hold it Strawhat! Look over here!" Helmeppo yells triumphantly.
Luffy just keeps punching Morgan until Zoro calls for his attention. He pauses his beatdown to look at me, I just shrug. He smiles.
I look at Helmeppo. "Bad choice brat." He looks confused at me, before I shoot a Gandr at him. A weak one of course, that made him immediately faint.
"Shishishi, not like that was a threat at all. Right, Clair?" Luffy asked.
"Honestly, he was so irrelevant I didn't even feel him."
"Luffy!" Koby screamed as Morgan loomed behind him.
Before Luffy could react, I summoned an Amber from my ring and shot a Lightning strike at Morgan, frying him.
Everything became quiet. The marine's eyes widened in fear, and even Zoro looked a bit disturbed, makes sense he barely meets Luffy and now not only a Rubberman but a guy that can shoot lightning? Yeah, he is not used to that.
As Morgan fell, the Marines started celebrating as I walk to Luffy and Zoro. "Huh, everyone hated him."
"I guess so…" Zoro mumbles, then falls to the ground with a groan. "Shit, I'm hungry!
