Azrael returned to the system tab and opened the last section there. This tab also showed another gift he had received from Thanatos, and the system wrote out a message once the tab came forward.
_____
Thanatos has granted you the Artifact [Divine Storage - EX]
Divine Storage: A storage space measuring 1000 cubic meters in volume. It can hold any non-living thing that possesses Divine Essence within it. Thanatos has instructed the user to use this as a storage space for his sword and any other artifact he acquires.
Effects of Divine Storage:
-> Weightless: The user will not be burdened by the weight of the items stored inside the divine storage.
-> Omnipresence: The divine storage can be accessed at any given time, regardless of where the user is.
_____
Azrael skimmed through the message quickly, and he was left surprised by how useful the new Artifact was.
Azrael had fully expected Thanatos to try and take his left arm in exchange for something like this, but surprisingly, Thanatos didn't even bother to ask for anything in return.
He was just giving him away something this impressive?
And the craziest part was the fact that the Artifact was EX ranked! Finding an EX Rank artifact in this world was close to impossible! The highest-graded artifact that anyone had known to exist in the mortal plane was an A-ranked Artifact that was being held at a museum and shown to students during excursions! If word got out that Azrael was gifted with an EX Artifact like such, it wouldn't be wrong to think that people would scramble madly to try and buy it off him.
Stab!
"Shit!"
Azrael suddenly felt a pain shoot through his hand… it felt like a needle pricking his hand. He looked down to see that there was some sort of red discoloration spreading across the wrist of his right hand.
Azrael immediately took the glove off, and his eyes widened when he realized that it wasn't just the wrist that had been turned red! His entire hand had turned red!
The hand looked like it had been submerged in boiling oil! The skin was red, and there was a dull, rhythmic throb that Azrael could feel every few seconds as the redness continued to spread further up his arm!
What the hell was this?
Necrosis?
Ding!
Another system message appeared in Azrael's vision, and he immediately turned his attention to it.

Azrael's eyes widened in shock once he saw all this.
He thought that he would at least get some time to think about how to go about what he had to do! Or maybe he would be able to arrange a plan that would allow him to kill someone without anyone finding out about it. But the system was telling him that he had to kill someone right now!
Azrael glanced down at his hand with a frown on his face. He then closed his eyes, took a breath, and pulled his gloves back on.
There was no point in lamenting his rotten luck. With how low his luck stat was, Azrael should have already expected something like this would happen to him.
Since he had no choice but to take a life right now, Azrael was going to have to go for the best victim he could think of.
Azrael turned toward his backpack and grabbed it off the ground before taking out a black cloth. It was long and wide enough to be folded into a face mask, and since this was all he had, he had to make do with it.
Securing the cloth over his face, he tightened his hand against the sheath of Oathkeeper, and he felt it vibrate with bloodlust. The blade was hungry, urging him to do what he had to!
Azrael put his backpack in a place where he could return to it later. Then, without hesitation, he walked out of the alleyway, following the direction Francis and his lackeys had taken,

"Did you see that idiot's face!? The fucking bastard really thought he could win against three people with his fists! Hahaha!"
The sound of laughter echoed through an empty road leading to the dorms of the Divine Academy. Francis and his two friends strolled aimlessly, trying to waste as much time as possible outside before heading back to their rooms before the curfew. The dorms in the Divine Academy had a curfew of eleven o'clock, so they still had about thirty minutes before they needed to get back inside.
Francis walked with his hands stuffed in his pockets, a deep scowl on his face as he halfheartedly listened to the rants from his lackeys. They were excited about what they had just done to Azrael, but Francis was not the least bit happy. That bastard Azrael had almost beaten him!
Even though they had taken down Azrael in the end, Francis couldn't shake the fact that, in that brief moment, Azrael had almost overpowered him! Even with Francis using his God Aspect and the fact that Azrael was tired from working out, how in the world had that guy managed to overpower him!?
'Did the fucking bastard lie about having a God Aspect?' The thought gnawed at him. 'Maybe he has something related to strength, and he's just hiding it from everyone. He's a child of darkness, so I wouldn't put it past him to do something that is underhanded.'
Thoughts like these filtered through Francis's mind as he tried to bring up an excuse for what had happened earlier. His pride had already taken a great hit when he had gotten just an A rank in the potential ranking. Even though people had applauded him and cheered his high rank, he could tell that there were a lot of people who had been looking down on him. The only King that didn't get an S rank. That was what he was going to be!
Even the other two Kings, who he had been competing with for the top spot all this time, had already started to look down on him as well. Both Sunny and Jane were giving him looks of pity, and Francis could feel an inferno burning in his heart just by recalling the way they looked at him! They looked at him like he was some sort of reject, a failure!
