Chapter 19 - CHAPTER NINETEEN:Tamed by love

Six days had passed, and Aria remained unresponsive. Lord Nigel's concern deepened, his anxiety growing with each passing moment. The thought of losing Aria was unbearable.

In his chambers, Lord Nigel stared at the bead bracelet that belonged to aria, Suddenly, there was a knock and the door opened revealing Lady Charlotte as she rushed in.

"My lord, the physician said Aria moved her finger," Lady Charlotte announced, her voice trembling with excitement.

Lord Nigel's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? Aria moved her finger?" he repeated, his voice filled with hope.

Lady Charlotte nodded. "Yes, my lord."

Lord nigel instructed Lady Charlotte, "Go, I'll meet you there." She bowed and hurriedly departed.

Lord nigel then selected a fine outfit, ensuring he looked his best,he had never been that fast when selecting an outfit,Once ready, he exited his chambers, accompanied by two guards.

Upon arriving at Aria's bedside, the physician bowed. "I heard Aria moved her finger. Is that true?" Lord nigel asked.

The physician nodded. "Yes, my lord. It's true. I believe a miracle might happen."

Lord nigel exhaled in relief. Lady Charlotte, who was also present, shared his optimism, hoping Aria would awaken soon.

The physician turned to Lady Charlotte. "Prepare water, in case she wakes up. She may ask for it."

Lady Charlotte agreed. "Of course, I will."

Lord nigel sat beside Aria's bed, his eyes fixed on her. He asked the physician and Lady Charlotte, "Can you excuse us? I'd like to be alone with Aria."

Lady Charlotte smiled and nodded. "Of course, my lord." The physician bowed and departed, leaving Lord Miguel alone with Aria.

As soon as Lady Charlotte and the physician left, Lord Miguel held Aria's hand, his voice trembling. "I'm sorry for everything. If I knew I'd love you this much, I wouldn't have punished you then.. I still feel guilty."

He struggled to contain his emotions, his voice wavering. "If I must confess, I love you, Aria. I love you. I don't know how it happened, but I love you."

Lord nigel bowed his head, overcome with emotion. Suddenly, he heard a faint whisper. "You love me?" Aria's weak voice surprised him.

Lord nigel's eyes widened in shock. "Did you... did you hear that? She spoke!" He exclaimed, his voice filled with joy.

Aria weakly continued, "You said you loved me, my lord. How can you say that?"

Lord nigel rushed to her side, hugging her gently. "Don't talk, don't talk. Thank you for surviving, thank you for surviving."

Meanwhile, outside the door, the physician and Lady Charlotte conversed in hushed tones. "Don't you think Lord nigel is changing?" the physician asked.

Lady Charlotte smiled knowingly. "Yes, I know he is changing. And it's for the better. He's been cold and feared by many, but soon he'll become softer."

Just then, the door burst open, and Lord nigell rushed out. "Physician, come quickly! Aria has woken up!"

The physician hurried in, followed by Lady Charlotte. They found Aria with her eyes open, a miracle indeed.

The physician examined her and bowed to Lord nigel. "A miracle has happened, my lord. She has survived."

Lord nigel's face lit up with joy, a feeling he had never experienced before.

Davina paced back and forth in her room, her mind racing with frustration. Her plan had been foiled, and the maid she had sent to Ashwood had been captured, locked up, and tortured by Lord nigel

Davina's anxiety grew. Why was it so hard to get to Lord nigel? She wanted him, not just for his power and wealth, but because she saw him as perfect - handsome, strong, and capable of keeping her safe.

Despite his fearsome reputation, Davina believed Lord Miguel was a prize worth fighting for. She felt an overwhelming desire to possess him, to make him hers.

But now, with her plan ruined, Davina was at a loss. She needed a new strategy, and fast. She thought and thought, but her mind was a blank. What could she do?

Davina's determination only intensified. She couldn't bear the thought of giving up on Lord nigel, a man feared and respected by many. To her, he was a prize worth fighting for.

"How could I possibly let him go?" she asked herself. "How could I let a lowly maid, someone so beneath me, take what's rightfully mine?"

Davina's anger and frustration boiled over. "No, no, no! That maid can't have him! Lord nigel is mine! He's too perfect for anyone else. I won't let some poor, insignificant girl steal him away from me!"

Her ranting continued, fueled by her obsession with Lord nigel. "He's mine, mine, mine! No one else can have him! I'll do whatever it takes to keep him!"

Lord Nigel spoke with the physician after Aria had been given water and helped to sit up. "How are you feeling?" he asked.

Aria replied weakly, "So tired."

Lord Nigel gently stroked her hair. "It's okay, it's okay."

He turned to the physician and said, "I'll take Aria to my room, where you can continue her treatment."

Aria looked at him, concerned. "My Lord, you want me to stay in your room?"

Lord Nigel explained, "I won't have you staying in the maid chambers anymore. I don't want you to be harmed again. You'll stay in my room from now on."

Aria, still tired, protested, "No, my Lord, I can't."

Lord Nigel silenced her by gently placing his hand over her lips. "Don't worry, you'll be safe."

Lady Charlotte, blushed and felt glad, thinking to herself that it was clear Aria was the prophesied one.

Lord Nigel carefully lifted Aria in his arms and took her to his chambers, walking gently, his steps alone could make a lady loose her bance, the maids who witnessed this exchange whispered among themselves, feeling jealous.

"What did she do to deserve this?" they whispered. "She's not even that beautiful."

Some even boasted, "I'm more beautiful than her."

Lord nigel carried Aria to his chambers and gently laid her on his bed. As she looked around, she was struck by the beauty that surrounded her. Everything was immaculately arranged, exuding luxury and refinement.

"This guy is freaking neat," she thought to herself, her eyes scanning the room. The floors, in particular, caught her attention, polished to a high shine that seemed almost fragile.

Aria turned to Lord nigel and said, "Lord nigel, don't you think I'll stain your bed? I haven't taken a bath, and I don't know how long I've been uncounsious."

Lord nigel smiled, his expression warm. "I don't care," he replied. "You can stain it as you like."

Aria's lips curved into a smile. "Lord nigel," she began.

But Lord nigel interrupted her, his eyes sparkling. "Don't call me that," he said.

"From today onward, call me nigel."
