Mahoraga heaved a sigh, wiping the blood and brains off his face. After adapting to more of the two human's attacks, he had successfully killed both one by one. It took him almost a while minute because both decided to run in opposite directions to improve their chances of survival.
"And what is this?" Horamic Haydn, the angel from the Machinery Hivemind spoke as the hundreds of symbols in his iris spun rapidly to deduce the essence of the eye-less creature in front of him.
Mahoraga did not give him more time to think, but as he leapt from his place and towards the strange old man in white robes with an ever-present smile on his face, the old man. In question had already finished analysing.
'Hmm? The ability to… adapt. A good ability… but…' the old man's eyes widened in shock as he changed the way velocity affected distance and caused the punch to miss him.
*Creak*
*Thump*
However, the shock was not from the sheer destructive might behind the punch as it obliterated a stone wall behind him. No, instead it was at the fact that… the ability did not have a limit…!
*Creak*
*Thump*
'I have to stop it before it becomes too strong for us to deal with!' his eyes flashed in resolution as he quickly turned into a formless white fog, covering the area around the creature.
Being a Sequence 2 Knowledge Magister of the Savant pathway, he rapidly began using his abilities to the fullest. He first tried to extract the lifeforce of the creature. And he was successful in doing so, but not a lot came out at once; only a chunk of its white flesh turning decrepit and grey.

And yet, with his years of experience being in charge of the Backlund diesis, Horamic did not stop at one attack and used another one at the same time. He summoned his mechanical avatar to directly battle with the creature while he used more abilities to wain its strength.

'Damn it! I need to move faster!' Horamic cursed in his mind as his eyes saw the help above its head rotating and his body preparing itself for the adaptation to his abilities. He also noticed it splitting into multiple immaterial helms that he could not directly affect.
*Creak*
*Thump*
As more and more abilities were used, more and more helms appeared above its head, causing sweat to appear on Horamic's forehead. The creature did not more; could not move due to the restrictions from the formless white fog, but the helm adapting to that was almost fully rotated.
*Creak*

"No!" the voice that sounded like hundreds of robotic beings exclaiming at the same time emanated from the fog as the wheel completed its rotation, along with a few others allowing Mahoraga not only the ability to move, but also a more important ability.
Mahoraga grinned as he turned around, but instead of battling it out with the mechanical monstrosity, he grasped at the white fog with one hand, and strangely it was no longer illusory in nature to him, closer to a thin sheet of fabric.
And just like such a fabric, he grabbed it with his other hand and tore it in half as a shrieking machinal sound caused reality to shift. Horamic reappeared in his human form, blood flowing freely from his lips and ancient knowledge spewing from his eyes like tears. He activated an ability to escape from the location to report this creature to Him, but froze in place.
Mahoraga grinned even wider as he clicked his tongue, "Tsk, Tsk~ Why are you running?"
*Creak*
*Thump*
Nobody could use escaping techniques related to the Sleepless, Savant, Seer, and Marauder pathways anymore around him. He had adapted to their escape techniques. It was truly an absurd ability.
Not only could his body adapt to attack and become immune, but he could even adapt to reality itself, making it such that escaping was no longer possible for Horamic.
Mahoraga's grin stiffened suddenly as a voice echoed through the underground caves that stopped its movements again, as another helm appeared, rapidly rotating, "Cease your Heresy creature…"

However, this cave Horamic enough time to run far enough from the creature to be able to use his escaping abilities and reach safety.

"Creature… you should not exist… and yet you do… an Error?"
*Creak*
*Thump*
"Did you call me, Yuggs?" Two hands came out of a panting Horamic's mouth, splitting it open to reveal a monocled man in the same western clothing Mahoraga had seen before. The fallen body that was split in half twitched as life escaped it, having been taken over by the monocled menace.
*Creak*
*Thump*
"Amon! What have you done!" the voice boomed in surging anger, but it did not last too long as some of the helms completed their rotations and Mahoraga began moving once more.
*Creak*
*Thump*
He ignored the voice as the helm to attack it was still only 2/8th completed, and instead went to attack- his thought was almost stolen… but it was not as he continued rushing to Amon; the Worm of Time.
"I failed…?" Amon mused as the punch landed on Mahoraga's face instead of his own, a hand on his chin as though in deep thought.
*Creak*
*Thump*
Mahoraga did not stop and continued punching, he could take on as many of his own punches as need be, as he not only adapted to his own punched, becoming immune to them, but also became immune to the man's ability to redirect his attacks back onto him.

"Interesting!" Amon grinned as Mahoraga grinned back.
"I shall take you!" Amon's body melted into hundreds of worms before all of them rushed into the boy of Mahoraga.
The ivory white creature stopped for a moment, hundreds of giant worms wriggling inside his body before he fell to the ground.
