Chapter 2 - Furious battle

Opening his eyes and looking around, Adam Blake realized that he was in some kind of forest.

"What the..." - he couldn't believe what he saw.

Adam clearly remembered being hit by a truck.

"Am I really isekai!? Is my life an anime or something?" - the guy chuckled to himself.

Dying because of an accident from a truck was already a hackneyed tradition in all isekai titles. And now the young scientist became one of such characters of such a tradition.

He also remembered the girl he saw before ending up here.

"Most likely, she is somehow connected with the fact that instead of dying I ended up here... Well, or the isekai trick really works!" - he said, shrugging.

Looking around the area again, Adam Blake realized that the forest he was in was unusual.

"I must have gone crazy, since I see a forest that shines like in some fairy tale... It seems that an hour ago (before I died) I took the wrong drugs..."

The forest where Adam Blake was was different from those on earth. The trees glowed with a faint purple hue like in fantasy art, the leaves were purple, although they were clearly lilacs, and some fireflies were flying around, although judging by the light and shadows it was daytime...

"Interesting..." - the scientist's curiosity instantly got the better of Adam and he began to go somewhere and explore this unusual forest.

From the pocket of his medical gown, Adam took out a small notebook and began to write in it.

{ Day one according to the earthly calendar }

{ Approximate time: 19:23 }

Although Adam wrote that the time was quite late, it was still bright in this unknown forest.

"Oh, moss!" - as far as he remembered correctly, moss always grows on trees in the north direction. "So if the north is there, then it turns out to be the south..." - Adam looked at the back of the moss and decided that it was the south. "And that means the west is in this direction, and the east is there!" - he said and designated the directions according to the concepts familiar to him.

"If this is really another world, and not my dying hallucinations and not the negative effects of my drugs, then I hope that something from our world remains in this world..." - Adam said and smiled weakly.

Having fully convinced himself where, he mentally made a compass and decided to go in the west direction.

"I hope that along the way I will not encounter any animals or cannibals..." - as soon as he said these words, Adam suddenly heard a rustle nearby.

He walked quietly to the source of the noise and sat down behind the bushes (which were very high), he began to look at whose noise it was.

There was an unusual rabbit in the meadow nearby.

Adam, trying not to make any unnecessary noise, took out his notebook and began to draw this rabbit.

Very noticeable white fur and red eyes and a small horn on the forehead like a unicorn.

"I wonder... Since when do rabbits have a horn? And even one like the one unicorns from myths and fairy tales have!" - he said mentally.

When he finished drawing the rabbit, suddenly the rabbit was attacked.

It was a wasp and do you know what's surprising about that?

"Holy shit, it's big!!!" - Adam was surprised, and there was something to be surprised about. This wasp was the same size as this rabbit.

"Since when did wasps become so big???" - He exclaimed in his thoughts and began to behave even more quietly.

A fight broke out between a huge wasp and a horned rabbit.

The wasp had a clear advantage due to the fact that it could fly, but the rabbit was no slouch either.

In normal situations, hares and rabbits always try to run away, but for some reason this one tried to fight back.

Using its sting, the huge wasp delivered piercing attacks, but the rabbit was too dodgy and managed to dodge the enemy's attacks.

This "attack-dodge" continued for several minutes until the wasp got tired of it and decided to deliver the decisive blow.

The horned rabbit sensed the change in its opponent and stood up.

"Does this rabbit think he's a bull or something?" Adam chuckled to himself, looking at how the rabbit was behaving.

Suddenly, the wasp flew straight ahead, sticking its sting forward. It was clear that he intended to finish the fight with one blow!

The unicorn rabbit managed to dodge the danger at the last minute and turned sharply, piercing the wasp with his horn.

The pierced wasp could not move and tried to somehow get out, but the outcome of their battle was determined.

Not wanting to accept this outcome and deciding to go to the end, the wasp decided to surprise everyone who was watching their fight.

As soon as the rabbit was about to celebrate his victory and relaxed, the wasp took advantage of this moment and abruptly tore off his back part of his body.

Stunned by such an act, the rabbit did not have time to react and the wasp's sting pierced his right eye.

With a furious squeal, the horned rabbit threw the wasp away and shook the wasp's sting off himself, but it was too late.

The big (already half) wasp fell dead, but if you could talk to wasps and read their expressions, you would know that it died with a smile on its face.

The wasp's venom began to spread throughout the rabbit. In agony, he banged his head against everything, trying to relieve the pain, but nothing helped, and his horn only prevented him from doing so.

After a few furious squeals and attempts to stop the pain, the rabbit breathed its last.

The big wasp lost this battle, but it still managed to take the enemy with it and in the end it did the impossible and made a draw in their fight.

"This battle was truly incredible!.." - Adam Blake said with respect in his voice, coming out of the bushes.

He bowed to the two warriors and saluted them, praying that their souls would end up in Valhalla.

After a while, the scientist's curiosity again got the better of the body and he took them in his hands and began to examine the big wasp and the horned rabbit.

"Respect is respect, but science is more important!" - with these words, he began to examine their bodies and make notes on a notebook.

Species: Horned Rabbit

Similarity: Idaho Rabbit

(Brachylagus idahoensis)

Distinction: Larger than standard size; The presence of a horn is similar to a sea creature of the mammal class - Narwhal

Judging by the first impression, the horn serves as a means of protection, but we cannot ignore the possibility that the horn can also be a means of hunting.

So far, observation is underway and it has been decided not to make hasty conclusions.

Species: Large Wasp

Similarity: True Wasps

Distinction: The size is strikingly different from the usual species (Approximate calculation - 30 cm)

Based on the first impression, this wasp belongs to a solitary species of wasps. However, it is possible that it may be a social species.

So far, close observation is underway and it has been decided to be extremely careful.

Having finished his research, Adam Blake decided to continue his journey, when he suddenly heard a rustling in the bushes nearby.

Slowly turning around and carefully walking towards the noise, he saw...
