I was awoken by some noise coming from a few meters away from me.

"uuuuu! aaaa!"

"uuu! heeee!"

These were incomprehensible sounds but from the sounds, I believe these are creatures who had some sort of battle and had won.

"that...good fight"

"ye.....good food"

Now after the battle they were moving celebrating their victory, so I chose not to move and waited for them to move slightly far away from me.

After some time, I tried to open my eyes and confirm if they have left. Looking around, it was really dark but I could see clearly. And there were no monster nearby.

Suddenly I got a sharp headache

"ouch!"

A flash of images again flashed in my head with the images of the dead bodies and then I remembered that I was awake before and had seen four dead bodies of people I sort of knew. Lax, Maav, Ridal and the fourth one who I could not identify. I then remembered that Ridal called himself my master and that I was his "Tamed beast". After focusing on Ridal for a bit, I suddenly started seeing memories but I could not remember what they were about. In the memories, I see Ridal, Maav, Lax and someone else I do not remember.

"The guildmaster really gave us a tough mission this time" said Lax

"That's for sure. I can't believe they are making us go dungeon hunting in the most dangerous dungeon in the continent" replied the person I can not remember.

"Lets at least be grateful that he is paying us a good sum for this mission" replied Ridal.

"Yeah well that's coz the mission is B-rank. We have to obtain 20 claws from the Zippato Apes. You guys know how strong and intelligent those monsters are. Plus they are pack hunters compared to most monsters in that dungeon" argued Maav

"That's the Vairataran dungeon for you. By the way Lyra, did you get those healing potions?" Lax asked some lady in front of him.

"Sigh....How many times do I have to tell you to remained me about that before? When did you ever tell me to buy healing potions?!" snapped the lady called Lyra.

"You are always the one buying healing potions before every mission!" replied Lax

"Alright stop fighting guys" Ridal came in to stop the fight. "We still have time before the mission. Lets go right now and buy them with other equipment. By the way do not forget to record what we have bought. The Guild is paying for our expenses for this mission."

"Really! Who thought the same stingy guildmaster would really pay for our expenses for this mission on top of the reward of completing the mission. Sounds too good to be true!" spoke Maav in an excited tone

"Lets go Jill." Ridal spoke to me. "Lets get you food also. What do you want to eat?"

"Lets get him some tasty fruits with alcohol for ourselves!" interjected Lax.

"Shut the f*ck up Lax! You know we spend half of our budget on buying 'your' alcohol! No alcohol for you today!" spoke Lyra rejecting Lax's idea

"Alright. Enough arguing and lets go before the store closes" Ridal stopped the two.

"Sigh.....Why won't these two ever get along? Anyways, Jill lets go to the store, these two will only make us late" sighed Maav.

"Lyra pass me a few healing potions! Hurry!" shouted Lax

"Only got 3 left! Better make good use of the one I give!" replied Lyra while throwing a small bottle containing green liquid and was glowing lightly.

"Maav! NOOOOO!" these were Lax and Lyra screaming after witnessing Maav being slashed by one of the "Zippato apes". Unfortunately as how things looked, Maav just lost his life.

"We don't have time to be emotional!" screamed Ridal "lets not make Maav's death go in vain! lets survive and get out of here!" he tried to motivate the other two but judging by his facial expression, it looked like he was hurt the most.

My body was lying far away from the group suggesting that I was knocked out first. Something looked odd but since I could not understand it, I ignored it.

Suddenly a few apes that were hidden in the darkness suddenly jumped out and grabbed Lyra.

"NO! LEAVE ME ALONE! SAVE ME LAX! RIDAL!" Lyra's screaming got me chills. 

"LYRA!!" Lax ran towards Lyra.....

"Thud" again more apes hidden in the darkness snuck up Lax and knocked him out cold with an expensive looking weapon. 

Ridal who was busy fighting 2 apes at once got distracted when Lax was suddenly knocked out. 

"LAX----"

One of the apes took advantage of the distraction and punched Ridal on the chin. Ridal tumbled and fell down on the floor. While falling he hit the back of his head on a rock knocking him out completely.

Then the memories cut off meaning, none of the members survived and the result was the scene I saw when I woke up. After seeing all that, my blood started to boil. The beasts that had passed by a few minutes before were the same two apes that had killed Lax and Maav. And there were plenty more. I wanted to get my revenge. 

First tried to look around the area to see if I could find anything to use as a weapon. Unfortunately I found none. Then I saw an ape standing alone with something that looked like a weapon. It looked really like large hammer. The ape looked like it was struggling to carry it. Maybe it was too heavy for it. I then went near that ape without making any noise. I surveyed the area and found no apes nearby. Still to be safe I waited for a few minutes to see if it moves somewhere else or another ape comes into the picture.

Now that I had confirmed there are no other apes nearby. I run at full speed towards it. Made a fist and prepared to punch it with all my strength.

It notices me.

"UUUU---"

"YOO----"

"Thwack!"

I jumped and punched with all of my energy and the result; that ape flew a few meters, a rough estimate of at least 5 meters. 

It bounced a few times after landing. It stopped moving completely after that. I went near to confirm if it was dead or not. To my surprise, it was dead and had a massive dent on the forehead. Confirming it was dead, I grabbed the massive hammer it was holding. I tried to see if it has anything else on it. After grabbing the hammer, I made a dash to a different location where there were no apes or other beasts.

While running, I heard the sound of water. I changed my course and went straight to the direction from where the sound was coming. 

After reaching, I saw a stream of water flowing with a lot of plants growing near them. Getting near the shore of the stream, I tried to look at the water. 

"WHAT?!" I got scared seeing a Zippato ape and turned around swinging the hammer. Swinging the hammer at full force caused me to loose balance and fall into the water. Thankfully it was not a strong stream so I managed to get out of the water easily. 

After getting out of the water, I looked around to see if there were any monster because I made noise which may have attracted monsters. Thankfully there were none.

After I relaxed, I felt thirsty and hungry at the same time. I went to drink water from the stream and saw the same ape that I saw at first. Then it hit me, Ridal called me his tamed beast. So I was an ape belonging to the zippato species. But compared to the ape I just punched and robbed, I looked a bit more human. I can't really explain it but the other ape looked more wild compared to me. 

I ignored that and went on to drink some water.

I also caught some fish. Maybe cause I was an ape, I managed to catch the fish barehanded. I caught three fish. These fish looked really unique with them having sharp teeth and really sharp fins. They had really slim bodies.

I went on and ate the three fish. They tasted slightly sweet. After chewing on the meat, I pulled out the bones and threw them away.

Now satisfied and well rested. I start thinking of ways to kill those apes. Knowing right now, it would be impossible for me to fight all those apes head on, so sneaking and killing would be the best option--

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

"UUUUUU! REEEEEE!"

"UUUUUU! AAAAA!"

Suddenly two apes had appeared behind me while I was planning. They were holding weapons. Judging by the weapons, they belonged to Lax and Maav. Seeing that made my blood boil. I wanted to kill these two immediately.

"Hey...you not die?" spoke one of the apes. It was really broken but I managed to understand it.

"I am going to kill you!" the words escaped my mouth. Suddenly I realized that I could speak. Not the ape language but human language.

"Lets see if you can do it" the ape replied. This time it was more fluent and I understood clearly. 

Before I could understand what was happening, the ape holding the battle axe charged towards me and then jumped swinging the axe vertically down towards me. Having no time defend myself, I jumped to the right dodging the axe narrowly. 

Debris started to spread creating a dust cloud. 

When the dust cloud disappeared, there was a small crater where the axe landed. This showed me that the apes were not to be underestimated. 

"Ho....you dodged that. Impressive. But how long will you hold out against your friends weapons" the ape holding Maav's sword taunted me. 

"I am surprised you can communicate so clearly. Since you seem to have some brains, let me warn you. I AM GOING TO F*CKING KILL YOU!" I was so pissed.

"So did you kill them?" asked Sidandeer "Did you kill that ape that there party had tamed?"

"From the reports of the apes I had tamed, that ape was killed first. Then they proceeded to end the rest of the party." replied Rachir a beast tamer/mercenary "But why did you want the party dead? From what i hear, they were an outstanding party with achievements making them almost A-rank"

"Apparently the King wanted them dead" replied Sidandeer "plus they had paid me a massive sum of gold in order to do it. As guildmaster, I should always think best for the guild"

"As a guildmaster hmmmmm....." replied Rachir "Well I aint gonna pry any deeper. Just pay me my money and I leave"

"Alright! alright! Here's your 50 gold." replied Sidandeer while he threw a pouch at Rachir.

Rachir proceeded to check if the money was in there.

"Alright. Everything is in here. Thank you for your business" Rachir thanked Sidandeer while jumping out of the window.

"...."

"OK. BYYEE" Rachir bid farewell in the most energetic tone. 

"Sometimes he behaves like a girl in puberty." thought Sidandeer "I am sorry Ridal, Lyra, Lax and Maav. But your party was becoming a nuisense in the guild."
