Mingmei was about to sleep, suddenly she got call from Wang Lie.
"Meimei, how was your event?" he asked.
"It was great. Everything went as planned" she said.
"Do you remember we are going to meet tomorrow over dinner...?" he asked.
"Oh no, I almost forgot to inform Xiaofeng! You're a real savior" she said.
"OK, you talk to him. I'll pick you up after the shoot" he said.
"There's no need of it. I'll tell Xiaofeng to pick me up, you better come with Zixin directly at the venue" she said.
"But Meimei..." he said.
"Don't worry, probably he'll be also alone, so we'll join you both at the venue" she said.
"Sounds good, see you then, you might be tired, need to take rest. Bye good night" he said.
"Good night, take care" she said.
Call hung up. She immediately gave a call to Yifeng.
"Hey Meimei, how was the event? And this time call? All good?" asked Yifeng.
"Xiaofeng, I almost forgot in work to inform you about something" she said.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Actually, some days before Wang Lie and I decided to meet over a dinner" she said.
"That's great! But why do you look stressed?" he asked.
"Chen Zixin wants to meet me, so the dinner is organized" she said.
"Zixin? Isn't she the rumored girlfriend of Wang Lie?" he asked.
"Yes..." she said in low voice.
"So, why does she wants to meet you?" he asked.
"I don't know it either. So, you are invited to join us. Wang Lie himself asked me to invite you" she said.
"Me? Wang Lie invited me?" (shockingly) he asked.
"Yes! So, you will be joining us tomorrow. Come and pick me up. You can't deny" she said.
"Sometimes I really don't understand what to say... Fine, I'll join you tomorrow" he said.
"Thanks a lot, Xiaofeng! You are my real friend!" she said.
"Have some sleep now. See you tomorrow. Bye good night" he said.
"Bye, good night" she said.
Then she finally went to sleep.
Next day, she was ready and waiting for Yifeng. On the other hand, Wang Lie and Zixin were about to leave after the shoot was over. Lie called Mingmei to remind her.
"Meimei, I and Zixin are about to leave, what about you?" he asked.
"I'm ready, just waiting for Xiaofeng," she said.
"Ok! Come quick. I'll be waiting for you," he said.
"Waiting for me...?" she whispered.
"Are you there?" he asked.
"Sorry, we'll be there soon," she said.
"See you then," he said.
Meanwhile, Yifeng arrived, and they left for dinner.
Wang Lie along with Zixin came at the restaurant, in no time Mingmei and Yifeng also came there. Mingmei saw Wang Lie at the table and went to him.
"I'm sorry, did I keep you waiting?" asked Mingmei.
Saying so, she was to sit opposite him on the table, while Lie pulled her towards himself, insisting she sit by his side. She was confused to see this.
"Absolutely not, you are just on time," said Lie.
"What are you doing? She might get it wrong...," said Mingmei.
"Why would she get it wrong... does that even matter?" (smiled) said Lie.
"Doesn't it make a difference to you about what your girlfriend might think...?" asked Mingmei.
"Of course, but I don't have one!" said Lie.
"You and her..." asked Mingmei in dilemma.
He just smiled and glazed at her.
They were talking in a low voice. Zixin interrupted.
"Hello, you guys aren't on a date!" (smiled) said Zixin.
"Sorry, I almost forgot. This is Mingmei and he is her friend Yifeng" Lie introduced them.
"Hello, nice to meet you, I'm Zixin" said Zixin.
"Who don't know the diva... Nice to meet you," said Mingmei.
"Absolutely true, I'm a big fan" said Yifeng.
He was sitting next to Zixin.
"Thanks a lot for your love. Let's order the food" said Zixin.
"So, you are Meimei! I've heard a lot about you from Lie. He mentions you many times. Indeed, you are a beauty too" said Zixin.
"Thank you, that's so sweet of you," said Mingmei.
"Well, I don't think it's a good question to ask but I still can't hold it in" said Yifeng.
"No worries. Ask first then let's decide whether it's good or not!" said Lie.
"Ah, there's a rumor about you both dating each other, but you never reacted to it... so, is that just a rumor...? Well, I know it's kind of personal, but, being a fan, I'm just curious" said Yifeng.
Lie and Zixin both started laughing, while Mingmei felt it a little awkward to talk about.
"Well, that's a pure rumor!" said Zixin.
"I and Zixin are very good friends, in fact we know each other since our high school days," said Wang Lie.
"Yes. We've have been a great couple for many years on screen, not in reality!" said Zixin.
Listening to this, Mingmei was somewhat happy inside, it was just that she couldn't react to it. Yifeng knew it already that the question eating Mingmei inside was the same, but she won't ask either. So, he just let it through.
"Oh, here comes food. Let's dig in" said Zixin.
Continuing to she said further, "so how was your event...? You looked so gorgeous yesterday!!"
"Thanks, but how do you know?" asked Mingmei.
"Oh that, you were indeed in spotlight. You almost made headlines! Haven't you seen yet?" said Zixin.
"Not at all!" Mingmei was stunned to hear that.
"Seems like our Meimei was busy in getting ready from the morning, for the meal, so she almost forgot the world exists!" said Yifeng teasing her.
Mingmei was little nervous. She saw her pic with Zhang Wei on story.
"You were really beautiful yesterday, too bad it took the total attention from other person, maybe he should have not been into the frame then!" said Wang Lie.
Hearing him say that she was even more nervous now and couldn't say anything. Time passed as they had chat and meal.
"I had really a great time today. It was really nice meeting you" said Zixin.
"It was nice meeting you too," said Mingmei.
"I must say, this was indeed the luckiest day of my living, after all I met Chen Zixin and Wang Lie at the same time! What could be more exciting" said Yifeng.
"Fine, let's get going" said Zixin.
They bid a bye to each other and left. While Yifeng was happy thinking of meeting his idol, Mingmei was constantly thinking of what Wang Lie did, said. She felt like somewhat important to him.
"Do you think Wang Lie regards me like someone special..." she asked.
"Ah...! what makes you think that suddenly?" asked Yifeng.
"Nothing! It's just I felt the way. Forget it," said Mingmei.
"Well, I do sense some sort of jealousy in those words of him..." said Yifeng.
"Is that so?" she asked.
"Anyways, let's just not overthink it, time will say for itself" he said.
"I guess you are right, let's go" she said.
Yifeng dropped her home and left. She went to sleep after thinking for a long time about Wang Lie.
Although things these days have been much more like a dream to her, she couldn't help thinking about everything again and again.
