Chapter 1 - "a day"

In a small, cluttered apartment in Plato City, Platonium, a 21-year-old woman named Danniel sat hunched over her computer. Her unkempt hair fell messily around her face, and black headphones enveloped her ears, drowning out the world outside. Clad in a short homemade suit that reflected her quirky personality, she had one leg propped up on her chair as she muttered to herself in frustration.

"Ah, asshole, isn't this so disproportionate? I work from my room, but why does it have to be a whole day? I can't even sleep... If this keeps up, I'm going to ask the old man for a raise!" Her voice carried a mix of irritation and determination.

Every day felt like an endless cycle of work with no respite. The demands of her job at the Platonium government seemed to grow exponentially, leaving her feeling both exhausted and underappreciated. She had not taken a single day off in months, and the weight of her responsibilities pressed heavily on her shoulders.

With her mind racing and emotions running high, an idea flickered to life in her brain—a mischievous thought that brought a small smile to her lips.

"It's just a little joke, right?"

She mused, snapping her fingers as if igniting a spark of creativity within herself. She turned back to her homemade "god spec" PC, a setup she had painstakingly built from various parts she had scavenged over time. It was her pride and joy, and it was time to put it to good use.

"Ah-ha! Aren't they going to give me a bonus this very second?" she thought with a glint of mischief in her eyes.

Meanwhile, in the main building of the state intelligence organization Platonium, chaos erupted as the entire computer system and electricity suddenly shut down.

"What the hell!" one staff member exclaimed, bewildered by the sudden darkness.

"Why did this just happen?" another shouted as they scrambled to determine the cause.

"Did someone hack into our system?" someone else speculated anxiously.

"Even though our system has very high security!"

In the midst of the confusion, a giant screen flickered back to life with an unexpected message:

"Hey it's me! Don't be such an ignorant person and give me more money old man!"

The room fell silent as everyone stared at the screen in disbelief. Except for the head of the center named Jake Woofer, who immediately recognized and knew who would go this far.

"The girl is really... Frank, come here!" He whispered a word to the burly security guard.

Back in her apartment, Danniel watched with satisfaction as her balance increased by 100,000 Platonium dollars. The thrill of pulling off such an audacious stunt filled her with exhilaration.

"Okay... we're done," she said to herself with a satisfied grin.

"And you can go back to work, hahaha..." With a sense of accomplishment coursing through her veins, she restored her hack and returned to her work.

Her fluffy white cat curled up beside her on the desk, providing a comforting presence as she dove back into coding and problem-solving.

Hours slipped by unnoticed as Danniel became engrossed in her tasks. She worked relentlessly for four hours straight, completely absorbed in the intricate lines of code that demanded her attention. So focused was she that she barely noticed the gnawing hunger growing within her.

"Okay, here we go again, baby," she said sweetly to her computer and beloved cat. "Let me just go to the kitchen for a quick bite."

But when she dashed into the kitchen and opened her pantry, disappointment washed over her.

"Oh shit... did I forget to do my monthly grocery shopping for noodles? What am I supposed to eat now?" The realization hit hard; without her beloved spicy instant noodles, she felt lost.

After contemplating her options for what felt like an eternity—scanning through empty shelves—Danniel decided it was time for a quick solution, fast food. She pulled out her phone and ordered two regular pizzas along with a refreshing soda. As soon as she clicked the order button, relief washed over her.

"Hang in there, darling," she reassured herself with a smile. "You'll be okay. Two pizzas are waiting for you."

She rubbed her slim stomach affectionately as she made her way toward the front door. The anticipation of food was almost enough to distract from the overwhelming workload still awaiting her attention.

Moments later, the doorbell rang—a sound that sent excitement coursing through Danniel's veins. She hurried over to answer it, eager to greet the delivery person.
